Aaaaamazing!!! This park checks every box. Walkable, bike friendly, and perfect for a solid run. The trail is paved and lined with mile markers, which I always appreciate. Each bridge has clear street signs and access points with stairs or exits, so you can hop on or off wherever you need. There are also location markers along the trail, (for emergency purposes )which is great for safety in such a large park. Playgrounds are scattered throughout, and there is even a basketball court tucked under a bridge with really cool graffiti that gives it some personality. The park is clean. Like noticeably clean. Restrooms are mostly portable, but many are enclosed in small structures so they blend in better and are not an eyesore. And yes, they were clean. You will find kayaking launch areas, fishing spots, picnic tables, and benches everywhere. There is plenty of space to spread out without feeling isolated. It is not overcrowded, but you are not alone either. The crowd felt easygoing, and cyclists were respectful. I felt completely safe the entire time. There are multiple paths to switch things up, plus a few shorter gravel routes if you want a change of pace. I even spotted e bike stations along the way. Honestly, this park sits right in the heart of Fort Worth and makes it feel like you do not even need a car in this part of DFW. One of the best runs I have had in a while. read more

Beautiful park set in the midst of Fort Worth's urban sprawl. The park is over 250 acres and offers trails amongst towering trees, a pond, a river, a playground, tennis courts, and a memorial to Fort Worth's fallen offcers and firefighters. What's not to love! Walking in beautiful trees, biking on the Trinity River Trails, a 2 mile ride to a duck pond and the best kids' playground around. The DREAM PARK is massive, but completely secured by a sturdy fence to avoid wandering off. There are lots of slides, climbing structures, a spiderweb and several different types of swings. The park has modified activities for mobility challenged kids. There is a separate section for 0-3 YO. Completely free. read more

We are back again! This time the weather is more tolerable. With the pending cold front blowing in later, we decided to stop and watch the ducks/geese swim for a little while and play at the park. It is so peaceful to just stand still and watch, not noisy either. Today the City of Fort Worth was repairing parts of the walking trail, but there are other routes to access the playground. We parked on the designated side-street parking and got a little hike in while we were at it. Might as well soak up the sun while you can (in January anyway). I love coming down here, these old trees are so incredible to me. Outdoor therapy at its best! read more

The best park in DFW. Plenty of trails to run, walk, or bike. Plenty of green grass to play a game of catch or just have a picnic. The playground for the kids is amazing as well. You can also fish on the river or watch the ducks at the duck pond. As well how can you not admire the beautiful scenery of the buildings from downtown. I've come to Trinity Park multiple times now, and it's a great place to visit. There's a good trail along the river for biking or walking/running, and it's usually clean and wide enough that you don't have to worry about there not being space for you and someone going the opposite direction. For the most part, it's a pretty flat and easy trail to bike along, but there are a few small slopes. If you go on Saturday mornings, you can even bike or run down to the Clearfolk Farmer's Market (9am-noon) and browse through the market for fresh produce. They also have some pre-made food that you could grab as a snack and weekend treat, and some nice shaded chairs and tables that you can sit at. Another thing I like about the park is that there's BCycle stations near the parking lot which makes it easy for friends and groups to go on a bike ride together. All in all, I'd recommend this park as a nice way for friends, couples, or families to spend some time outdoors! read more

I believe this is the best park in Fort Worth. When visiting, don't forget to pay tribute to Mark Twain lounged on one of the park benches reading a book. In addition, it took me a while to figure out the park stretches north and morphs into a wonderful duck pond right off West 7th. I took the liberty of feeding the ducks a few weeks ago, something I haven't done since I was a little kid. Of course the Trinity Trails winds its way through here. If you're up for a ride, you can head either north toward downtown or south toward the Hulen/Bryant Irvin area. Don't miss out on this great city park! read more

Recently my friend and I were walking along the river after having started out at the firefighter memorial. We kept going for a while, but didn't see much of anything noteworthy. I did take a few pictures, but nothing worth writing home about... I don't know how interesting this park would be to a typical adult, but I suspect it would be a fun place to visit with small children in tow :-) The day we were here, there was a large group enjoying a picnic; I could see how that might be fun too, but this probably wouldn't be my first choice of parks as a place to kill time. read more

Them trails hit different on a bike. Walking biking hiking boating or eating it's all good here there's always a good time to be had on the Trinity trails. Did you know the raccoons come out at night not just one or two I mean the whole race comes out to eat and they are faaaaat!! Keep it moving and don't pet them. read more

It's a beautiful place inside the city to see non concrete natural items. The pond has a lot of geese and ducks to feed. There plenty of kids playgrounds, basketball courts, etc on site. Runs next to the Trinity River. Some of the roadways are one way streets which really restricts access if you come in the north end. We've gone the wrong direction just to get to the south end without having to go all the way around and down University Dr. read more

I imagine that this park is the kind of thing Leslie Knope dreams of. A park in the middle of the city hosting miles of walking trail with the downtown skyline serving as a backdrop. On the trails you'll find serious cyclists, hard-core runners, moms with strollers and a few nicely dressed couples taking a leisurely stroll. Lots of opportunity to sit down on a bench and take it all in (or a photo op with a Mark Twain statue). Picnic tables are scattered around for those who brought their lunch. In the middle of it all, large playground for the kids for the kids to play on. We just stuck to the swings on this visit. Regular and baby swings are available. The park is a little rough around the edges, a few spots had construction and the basketball court looked like it had seen better days, but all in all a great place to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon. When visiting FW, I usually opt to go here for a relaxing nap or to read a book; I like to sit near the big duck pond at 7th street and reminisce about the fun times I had here years ago with my son when he was little. Lots of shaded and grassy areas, so consider taking a blanket for a little privacy if desired. The trail system is awesome for running and/or biking. read more

Trinity Park is a great place to take your bike and head down the Trinity Trails - you can catch about 40 miles of trails all along the Trinity River. There are both paved and gravel trails in many areas, and for the most part, the trails are well-maintained. You can take one trail southwest out of Trinity Park, along University, and ride it all the way to Benbrook. I swear it's all uphill once you leave the river, and you'll likely be going into a strong headwind, but the ride back is SOOO worth it. And if you head towards Benbrook, you'll cruise through some nice neighborhoods, a great little park - it makes for a really enjoyable ride. Once you take the trails outside the park, there's not a lot of tree-cover. Be sure to grab your sunglasses, slather on some sunscreen, and take plenty of water. You're in for a great ride! read more

Worths version of "Central Park" its got nice playground areas for the kids, beautiful old trees, great spot to have a picnic, you can find a nice spot to sit and watch the river roll by. The city hosts lots of events and festivals at this park that are always a lot of fun. Your just across the street from the Japanese Gardens and Botanical Gardens when you get bored with the park! I've been coming to this park all my life. As a kid we'd take the train ride through the park, and our school would come here for picnics after a day trip to the zoo. I've brought my own kids to this park many times and its still just as fun! Its a wonderful park with lots of life, and beautiful people there. read more

This was one of the nicer regional parks we've been to. There were so many things for the kids to do, from climbing trees to playgrounds to...the train. My kids love trains. No ride is ever enough for them. Every trip we go on, we search the route for mini-trains. But this train ride...it was long enough. No complaints. No temper tantrums. No refusing to disembark. The ride was at least 15 minutes long, not including the stop at the other station. They got to see the park, the river, the trees, and lots of real trestles. (I think the high point was when our mini train ducked under a freight train on a real train trestle, which wasn't that far above our heads.) And it was only a couple of bucks each. Once the heat goes away, we'll be back again. Just don't use the map on Yelp here...we used someone else's advice and it was better: Find the entrance to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Now go across the street. One of the Trinity Park entrances is over there and the main train station is by that entrance. read more

It's all cute during the day: Playgrounds, spots to rent a bike, duck watching, people snuggling on benches, cute TCU undergrads jogging. But at night, it totally changes. Think, ah, people meeting up briefly in cars. Gigantic raccoons affiixing themselves to trashcans. Just head on out as dusk arrives unless you partake in illicit behavior or are trying to test out your rabies vaccine. read more

Great park to spend the day. Nice playground for kids, the $5 train rides are adorable, and there are lots of nice paved paths for walking and exploring (I hate running, ew.) The wether this weekend makes this park fantastic but there are lots of trees for shade so I suspect that would help this park be more bearable on a hotter day. Great place for a picnic or some family exercise! read more

It is so incredibly beautiful here. Very peaceful and family oriented. The park is huge, filled with wonderfully mature trees, benches, a little train, bridges, trails and playgrounds. It is in the same area as the Botanical Garden and the Zoo and surrounded by restaurants and other night life. You can spend an entire day here, maybe even a week. read more

Trinity park is a good place to get some fresh air and take the family on a beautiful day. We came here for a Sunday afternoon of bike riding. The trails are nice and people generally tend to stay on the side they should. This place tends to be crowded on a pretty day but there is enough space for everyone to find a spot in the shade or a place to play. Parking can get a little tricky sometimes but if you keep driving you will eventually find a spot. We hit the bike trails today with our dog. This place is pet friendly. Ever so often on the trail there are spots with water fountains and shady spots to take a break. Great place for a Sunday stroll either walking or riding. There is also the train if you feel like taking a ride. Great place to fly kites as well. Overall it's a pretty solid place to bring the family and come play. read more

Running...lots of running to do here! This park has become my go-to run spot and is now integrated in my routine. All sorts of people show up and the diversity makes me feel right at home. I saw a similar park to this when I was overseas and was happy to find a park with rent-a-bikes and a variety of things offered to the city's denizens. There is a Wednesday fun run at 7pm here. Just be careful of the cyclists that also share the trails with you. At the end of my run, there is a cluster of regular food trucks where I can take a drink. There is something that I call The Hobo Bridge that I have to run under where the hobos are hanging around. They don't bother you if you don't bother them. This part is pretty stinky, but there is lots of garbage here in this part. I don't have kids, so the playground or the train rides are not of my concern, but I can tell all the families are there and it makes me feel very safe coming to the park. On the farside of that playground is a basketball court and stairs to get to the 7th street bridge that takes you back to West 7th. read more

Nice big park. Thought I take the kids to the playground and walk around the park on our visit to fort worth, so we can see the view of downtown and be next to the river. The only issue I have about this park is the parking. When there are parties going on the weekend, they cars are parked along the road side by side so you can get stuck if you want to get out or need to get by to exit. There are vendors selling snacks around the park too. There's a train you can ride for a small fee to get around the park with the kiddos. read more

Beautifully maintained and lush park along the trinity trail. My girls love coming to the playground here. There is a wonderful view of Fort Worth. Lots of seating for picnics both covered and open and a duck pond as well. It's usually pretty busy on the weekends but there is ample parking. read more

I love this place. It is one of my stops as I am cycling, so I go through here at least every week. Lots of variety. The regular trail gets crowded so it is good to take alternate routes than on the sidewalk/path. I wish, they had a by-pass when special events happen. There is a gravel and crushed granite trail around the park, but seriously, it is usually muddy and has lots of holes. The truth is, the walkers/joggers would rather the cyclist did not buss by them on this narrow by-pass trail. Can we get an actual concrete bike path around the main park area? It has been nice to have the rent a bike stations. I like seeing more cyclist enjoying Fort Worth. read more

Trinity Park itself is fairly big but it just still makes me feel gross being there. The basketball court under the bridge is probably the best thing about it. Even though the courts are really slippery at least for me and the hoops aren't quite the same height. Even the kids area looks kind of dull, back in the mid and late 90's when I was of "Playing on Play ground age", They used to have a tall wooden slide and play area. Now its all plastic (which i'm positive is safer) but its super small and boring. I feel sorry for the kids now, they have no idea what they are missing. The bike trail goes on for Days, but to be honest, there isn't anything too special about it. Nothing really to look at but dried grass and maybe that one statue on the bench that freaks me out during a night ride. The river (which i've noticed that the city is trying to Doll up) is still Ugly as ever and they are trying to breath life into it with the Panther Island and Kayaking (ewwk). I wouldn't want to touch or have the Trinity rivers water on my body for too long. I feel like it is just a 708 mile long toilet. read more

Trinity Park is a very good and safe place to relax, take a run, bike, walk, picnic, and so much more. I personally enjoy running on the looped trail as it is more relaxing on my feet compared to the concrete walkway. I enjoy the scenery while I run as well as running across the pedestrian bridge over the Trinity River. That enables me to run to the newly built 7th Street bridge and run across that then come back down to the main part of Trinity Park to complete my run. I really like to cool off at the misting stations and sit down on the bench and take in the beautiful scenery. Good place to bring kids and they have places around to rent bikes. Trinity Park is expansive enough and has a little bit of something for everyone. The kiddo train is a nice journey through the grounds. There are plenty of marked walking/running trails for the fitness folks. Trinity Park is also a great place to rise a bike, fly a kite, have a picnic, or just generally hang out. On a good weather day, you'll find the place crowded, especially near the zoo area. Parking can be sticky sometimes, again depending on the time you visit and the weather. read more

This is a really nice park, but this review is mostly about the trails. The trails are a great place for running, walking, biking, and walking your dog (on a leash please). Most of the trail is gravel and there are some paved areas. On Saturday mornings there are plenty of friendly people out. Everyone seems so happy and says "good morning" as they pass by. There's a food truck park near the trail that you can run/walk/ride to. The trails are clean and pretty well maintained. read more
