Dream park is located in Trinity Park. It's a cute spacious play area for kids. The park was clean with no suspicious activities like I've seen at other parks.

We made it before the wind started blowing a cold front in!

It had been a few years since we have paid Dreampark a visit. We decided today would be the perfect day since another cold front is blowing in later and we MUST have our outdoor time! We love how diverse the play equipment is here. There are different types of swings, slides, see-saws, a zip line, monkey bars, climbing ropes...etc! The treehouse is also a ton of fun. We met some new friends and had a blast! The City of Fort Worth workers were out re-painting the gate, yay for maintenance! There are plenty of parking spaces, we came from Trinity Park side (the back). There are trails to walk if you want to, picnic tables and a gazebo you can rent for parties/events. There are porta johns for toilets, they had been cleaned today and stocked with toilet paper. Just bring sanitizer, there's nowhere to wash hands. It is such a lovely park!

Bathrooms - probably haven't been emptied or cleaned since before COVID

This is a very fun park with so much to do for all ages. It's completely fenced in. Unfortunately the excitement is clouded by the fact that there are NO BATHROOMS. What a bizarre oversight! They do have a couple of porta potties but they were absolutely disgusting. I'm not above using a mobile bathroom in general but I draw the line when there are hundreds of flies swarming around a toilet so full you might actually touch the shit below you if you sat down. Barf. I had to pee behind a tree, which is not only logistically difficult at 9 months pregnant but kind of a public indecency. The absence of a permanent, regularly maintained bathroom structure at a park of this size is simply unacceptable. Unhygienic. Until a structure is built, the porta potties provided need to be regularly serviced so they do not become the public health hazard they are at present. There is also no shade over the play structures. The mature trees surrounding the park provide nice shade for onlookers (bring a camping chair so you can move around as the sun shifts), but the play area itself is totally open with no relief from the sun. Did the playground architect know what a Texas summer is like? The Trinity Park trails and grassy areas surrounding Dream Park are beautiful. It's really too bad the bathroom situation is so dire. We probably won't return.

Fun park, easy parking and ice cream truck that comes around. It's spacious and enclosed so the littles can't run out easily. My preteens always have a good time playing tag and zip lining.

    So much fun here!!

We saw this playground ranked as one of the top 5 playgrounds in the DFW area and decided to try it out since it was conveniently located nearby the Fort Worth Bontanical Gardens. We originally used Apple Maps and had a hard time looking for it. Use Google maps and put in "Dream Park Playground" and it will lead you right there. Some things we enjoyed: 1.) Surrounded by beautiful trees and sidewalks 2.) Entire playground is gated so kids can't run out 3.) Ample amount of play space 3.) Mixture of concrete and soft flooring 4.) New, modern playground equipment for all ages to enjoy 5.) Fun large slides with equipment geared towards special needs 6.) Lights all around so kids could enjoy the park even after dusk Will we be back? Definitely YES!! Our children enjoyed this park so much they did not want to leave! Since it was the fall time, the sun set around 6pm and the lights did come on and it was well lit but we had had a long day and had a long drive back home. We cannot wait to visit Fort Worth again and take the kiddos to this awesome playground.

Gated park (but if you've got an escape artist kiddo with you check all gates - more than one enter and exit.)

It was a cold January evening, and even so, there were quite a few skaters making use of this great amenity. Seems to have all the necessary areas a skate park needs, for plenty of opportunities to twist, sprain or break something. Lots of ramps and rails. Also a half pipe and a "swimming pool." We watched people drop in for a while, then went for dinner across the street at Benjamin's Pizza Kitchen & Bar - https://www.yelp.com/biz/benjamins-pizza-kitchen-and-bar-roanoke Details from the URL : "Bowl" transition/turnaround 7 stair with hubba ledge and handrail Front and backside hook ledges Pool-style bowl with pool coping and tiles Slappy/manual pad feature "Spoon" transition Up-gap feature with hubba ledge and handrail Low quarterpipe with inset curved ledge Miniramp with extension and quarterpipe/bank hip Wheelchair ramp with slappy bank, ledge and "knife" rail I did not see water fountains, or a bathroom, but maybe it was at the adjacent Cannon Parkway Park, which has facilities for soccer, tennis, basketball & volleyball. Bottom line: Be safe! PS. There is more parking, at the Cannon Parkway Park, if you are nervous about parking where a skateboard might fly into your car... Kidding, sort of, it's fairly protected, but there are still skaters, so keep an eye out.

I will just give you the CliffNotes version in that the park is very clean - perfect for running/jogging, walking, and sitting around to enjoy the outdoors. Here's the new impression about how kid friendly it is. First off, I love their splash pad. The best part of it is it's free! We tend to go on cooler/cloudy days when the summer sun is not beating down on us. They have benches and tables for families to sit around the splash pad. You can't bring your pets or food to the area. After a lot of running and laughing, my son's eyes do get a little red from the chlorine, so wear glasses or goggles if you want to avoid this. Right next to the splash pad is the playground. I'm so glad that it is covered, so we can go when it's sunny outside, but not too hot. The playground is a good place for the kiddo to either warm up or cool down before the splash pad. I would say the splash pad is such a fun distraction that my son spends the majority of his time at the splash pad and the playground is just a second thought. It's never super crowded even on the weekends. Perfect amount of kids playing around. There's a nice private parking lot right next to the splash pad. I'll be back with the family again and again.

Marine Creek Lake is a 250-acre no wake lake (more tranquil waters) which provides a welcome, peaceful respite from hectic city life. The 6-mile trail adjacent to the lake offers walking and running opportunities. At the lake, boating/kayaking/canoeing, swimming and fishing--with catfish here and there and bass on the riprap--are some of the main activities people participated in. After researching various parks in and around the Fort Worth area for a recent visit, I decided on Marine Creek Lake. Although unconventional in the park area, I also think the Marine Creek Lake area has everything I enjoy re: parks like verdure, beautiful landscapes, lots of trees, cool people, places to relax and interesting activities. Personally, one of my favorite activities was just walking along the deck and looking out at the lake waters and everything in the background. I met, rather serendipitously, two cool people who were also visiting Marine Creek Lake. One guy was there mainly to fish and let me borrow his fishing pole but all I caught was some seaweed-like aquatic plants, which he said is more than what he caught. (Haha) In the beginning of each try, I could feel something substantial and heavy underwater, but no dice. Another person was there walking his Chihuahua-Corgi mix named Finny. Parking here was easy, as I recall. The Marine Creek Lake area wasn't crowded, so the adjacent parking lot had lots of spaces available on a Saturday morning. I am kind of glad its existence seems to be a well kept secret of sorts. It is definitely a hidden gem. [5/5], Highly recommended!
