Well I wasn't disappointed, they showed me some all in ones then they showed me some laptops. With each showing they described what speed and what capacity it carries on the ones displayed to me. The person at the store was the utmost helpful in explaining the differences. But if you are in the market for a computer or accessories this place is a good start. If you're a gamer they have you covered, well at least in my opinion. I chose a HP laptop and it runs extremely well and at a great value for the type of laptop I got.

The competition can be intense, and unfortunately there are always scalpers around, which is never fun for collectors. That said, the experience wasn't all bad--I actually met a few nice people while waiting in line and had some fun conversations with fellow fans. We eventually spoke with a gentleman named Dylan who pointed us in the right direction. The selection of chargers was minimal but we ended up finding what we needed. I feel like it's typically Best Buy that has the best value as far as price goes. Anyhow. We spoke to Dylan briefly about returning to purchase a PS5 and a new iPhone 17 pro max for myself and he was kind enough to take us to the correct departments for both of those. We did end up going back for the PS5 and the iPhone, separate times, and unfortunately the iPhone was/is currently still out of stock. Once they re-stock, I'll definitely be back to buy my new phone. It's just so much less chaotic than going directly to Apple or Verizon.

We've never been to Altex until this visit when we saw the sign from the freeway and decided to check out what the store had to offer. We walked in looking for a specific firewall, and Christian helped us find everything that we needed in the store. We didn't grab a cart when we arrived, but grabbed so much equipment that Christian helped us carry the hardware and set it aside for us at the checkout counter. We needed him to walk all around the store and show us where to locate specific parts. It was great! They had everything that we needed. Also, when our ride didn't park in the correct parking lot, Christian walked outside with us helping us carry the heavy boxes. He was so nice and helpful!!

With very few computer stores in the UT campus area, went here looking for a webcam, wireless…read moreadapter, and a monitor. The webcam turned out to be at least $20+ more than retail price (Logitech Communicate STX) and the store's abysmal return policy (7 days only, no refunds, only in-store credit) makes you wonder if they sell anything at all other than cell phone plans and Time Warner Cable. No luck with the wireless adapter, and barely a selection of boxed hardware. They also stock a huge collection of 3rd party brands that I was very suspicious of. A store that is exploiting less-knowledged consumers and should be avoided at all costs. Even though the UT campus computer store might feel pricey, they actually have better prices there. And the staff there is a lot more friendlier there too.

They literally fixed my computer in 5 days (Took it in on Friday, they had it ready by the next Wednesday afternoon) and they even cleaned it for me. Also, they were $310 CHEAPER than Best Buy would've been, and they're on campus so their location is perfect. Love this place and if I ever have issues again, I refuse to go anywhere else!
