Overall, the customer service here is pretty good. My boyfriend and I visited this location on Christmas Eve to buy his son and myself one of those fancy standing mag chargers lol The store wasn't busy at all and despite it being Christmas Eve where most employees may feel a bit disgruntled working, these folks were great and welcoming. We eventually spoke with a gentleman named Dylan who pointed us in the right direction. The selection of chargers was minimal but we ended up finding what we needed. I feel like it's typically Best Buy that has the best value as far as price goes. Anyhow. We spoke to Dylan briefly about returning to purchase a PS5 and a new iPhone 17 pro max for myself and he was kind enough to take us to the correct departments for both of those. We did end up going back for the PS5 and the iPhone, separate times, and unfortunately the iPhone was/is currently still out of stock. Once they re-stock, I'll definitely be back to buy my new phone. It's just so much less chaotic than going directly to Apple or Verizon. read more

I lined up here a few times for the Pokémon card drops, and every time the crowd is huge! It's honestly wild to see how many people show up just hoping to grab some packs. The competition can be intense, and unfortunately there are always scalpers around, which is never fun for collectors. That said, the experience wasn't all bad--I actually met a few nice people while waiting in line and had some fun conversations with fellow fans. We had a positive experience here. My friend was here to investigate laptops. We met Nathan. He spent a lot of time explaining the features and qualities of the range of computers he was selling. He patiently answered all of his questions. I wondered off at times to peruse the store and was approached by various associates asking if I needed assistance. They were not pushy. After informing them I wasn't the shopper today, they let me know they could help should I need any and walked away. No hovering! I appreciated that. The store has typical electronics: TVs, computers, phones, and Apple watches. But also you can get an electric bike or Oura ring. If you can't find what you're looking for here, it's probably something pretty rare. read more

Not going to lie it has been awhile since I went to a Best Buy. Also, I used to work for Best Buy when I was a teenager. We wanted to get a new TV and wanted to see TV's in person to make our decision. We knew very little of current TV and their technology. We were so glad Eric in the TV department was there to answer all of our questions and was able to provide recommendations for our situation. From OLED vs Mini LED to which brands works best for your particular use of your TV. Eric is so knowledgeable down to the types of displays and who manufactures them for the brands. Today I came in around 2:00 PM because I recently accepted a remote job and they sent me a list of approved items to set up my remote office (e.g., laptop, monitors ,etc.). I walked around the appropriate area(s) and made a few laps. To be fair, there were no employees in that particular area that I could see anyway. So I broadened my circumference around the store to find some help and the only employees I came across were either on their phone or talking to each other. No eye contact, no "how can I help you?" - nothing. I cannot believe I have to explain this to you, but the only reason you still exist is for human-to-human customer service when compared to Amazon. There's a reason why you price match to Amazon and not the other way around - to pay for employees to give customers a human experience. I could have just as easily sat at home and clicked through Amazon to get what I needed - in the air conditioning, which is what I am going to do now anyway. Mind you, it's August, In Austin, Texas, it's 100 degrees outside. I honestly would have rated this review higher if I got bad customer service, but instead I got non-at-all. Kevin was amazing!!! Long story short, a TV I had delivered died in less than a day. Spent hours on the phone and chat with best buy customer service and I finally went into the store. Everyone was so helpful and friendly but Kevin took time out to go above and beyond to setting the exchange and delivery up for me. Seriously, this man needs a raise. First they couldn't find the order & then would not help with anything setting up the new phone unless I signed up for a $200 membership or paid Geek Squad. The rep at Round Rock told me it takes up too much of their sales time to help so they charge. I took my phone & promptly left. I have been a Best Buy customer for many years. I have used their repair services for many years. I have bought appliances, computers, printers, and televisions for years from the one in Cedar Park. I recently attempted to schedule an appointment for a repair. Their new policy requires that you pay a charge of $124.99 BEFORE you can schedule an appointment to repair or get an estimate on a repair. You cannot schedule the appointment UNTIL you pay the service charge. I will no longer be shopping at Best Buy. read more

Terrible customer experience. I've been using the local best buy stores after signing up for their total tech membership. One of the first products I bought was a Nest Thermostat. They repeatedly don't show for appointments with all day time windows. So I sit at home and wait, but no one shows up. When they came, they broke my AC. I've made two dozen calls to different tech support numbers, been transferred to every department available, called the store and no one called me back, drove all the way back into the store and was promised resolution and a time frame but no one followed up or responded to my subsequent emails when trying to resolve. Easily the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. Now I am paying out of pocket and will need to chase them down for reimbursement. Use Amazon and save the trip. read more

Went to Best Buy to buy a dash cam for both my cars. The initial sale rep knew nothing about dash cams or how one we as better than the other. I was as like ok maybe someone in this store may know more. I ask for the MOD ( manager on duty ) try get help and she totally understood and said if they don't know they are required to look up the product and help with questions. I'm like ok good I will get helped......but noooooooo the manager reassigned me to the exact same guy I was originally assigned to. So I'm like ok, I'll try to get through this. I asked that salesman questions about the products and he was still like " I don't know" and he never researched any thing . I went back to the manager and informed her and told her of the results and now I can't get a dash cam cause they don't care if they lose a sale I guess. I would have have one star but at least the manager tried but they employee just didn't care. It sucks these days cause people don't care about their customers. Sad. Also even though it was black Friday they had no dash cams on sale or marked down. This is the world we live in unfortunately. I will probably not go back to Best Buy for anything. read more

To the "manager," who wears a face mask, you deserve to be fired for mocking and not assisting a customer, who came to you, looking for solutions, and you offered nothing but shaming and accusatory posturing. I made my purchase without you. To every situation there's a solution if you want to step up, like another manager at another Best Buy store did. You didn't even bother to give me the time of day from the moment I asked you for help, much less offer any form of creative thinking. Been standing in car audio for nearly 15 minutes at the moment. Several people have asked if I work here. I've seen one employee, who did an about-face and walked away once they saw me trying to get their attention. GEEK SQUAD YOU ROCK !!! Took Mrs. Texas' 9 month old ASUS laptop top in as it had a funky BIOS Utility - EZ Mode screen that wouldn't go away. This means your hard drive is about to, or has gone out. In our case, it took a dump. Evan was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Since we were not Geek Squad members, we had to join which is $200 per year. You get discounted Geek services on appliances, home systems, phones, laptops and more. We joined and then he was able to check out the laptop and confirm the problem. Luckily all we needed was a new hard drive which we opted for an upgraded one at only $70. We left the laptop there Friday night and picked it up on Sunday at Noon. The computer is running fast and perfect. I will be contacting ASUS, which it's under warranty, but we couldn't go through them, send it off, and have to wait for weeks to get it back, so I opted to have it immediately repaired by the GEEK SQUAD. This was a quick and inexpensive route over having to possibly by a new computer since this one is new at only 9 months and had only about 200 hours of operating time on it. Sometimes pricey, sometimes average prices. They have the basics you need. For example in September 2020 or so, my old monitor died. It lasted about 9 years so that rocked. One day I was starting my work day, and my screen wouldn't go on, so I had to go over to Best Buy right away. Best Buy had a larger monitor than the one I had before, which rocks because you can see more and it might help your eyes. It has the unexpected benefit of making some menus and toolbars easier to navigate. I don't go here often, but when I do, they often have what I need. read more

Unless you are close by and like to deal with hour long waits otherwise don't even bother bc it is a total inconvenience. I came to this store with an intention of purchasing an iPad. I spoke with Christon and he showed me his IPad Pro 12.9 and gave me some advice. Originally I wanted the air but was on the fence about the pro. Without being pushy and suggesting I buy it, he gave me real life experience with his and let me know about his girlfriends a iPad Air. After giving it 2 days to think about my purchase I went back to the Best Buy attempting to purchase the iPad Pro 128gig. They were out of it but he let me know I could come back in a week to pick it up. As I am from out of state this wasn't possible. He made magic happen and got me the iPad 256gig! I needed (wanted) a sound bar for my TV and found one online. I stopped by the Best Buy in Cedar Park to pick one up, only to find out they let people in by appointment only. A young man by the name of Chris who was assisting with pick up items took the time to pull up the item I was considering on his phone and went inside to pick it up for me. The employees here are rude and incompetent. My husband and I went to look for a tv and the bushy eyebrow girl in electronics seemed helpful at first. We showed her online from our phone the specific tv we wanted . She goes and checks and comes back and says she has it put aside for us. We grabbed a few other items and then wait 30 mins with a two year old to pay. The price online was $1399 ($300 off) and she rings it up and it says $1999. When we show her again online she says "oh well that's the older model, this one is newer" ...okay but we didn't ask for the newer one and why she seems to think spending $600 more is no big deal. I ask for a manager and he practically tells me the same thing. The one we want isn't available at that store so they just figured oh well y'all can pay more for our mistake. I said look I don't want the same price but at least offer the same $300 off if we're going to spend more. They wouldn't that and they acted like what I'm asking is unreasonable. The fact they acted like oh no big deal we grabbed the wrong tv then made y'all wait to lay for it and try and get you for and extra $600 is complete trash. Wouldn't spend a dime at this store to be treated that way. Went to the Best Buy at Mueller and bought the tv we wanted. No issues, friendly staff and fast service. I will drive 20 mins out of the way to go to the Mueller location from now on. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with Best Buy. Love the stores. Love the technology. But seriously, where do you find the people that run/work in these stores? And it's not to say it's everybody but here's my latest experience: needed to get a new router. Best Buy was advertising online if you bring in an old router for recycle they would give you a coupon for 15% off a new one. The only problem is the 15% off is in-store only - oh joy! I order it online for in-store pickup because this is the only location in town that has what I'm looking for in-stock and I'm coming from out of town. Arrive at the store and go to customer service and the kid has NO IDEA what I'm talking. He starts going on about trade-in. I correct him and say it's for recycling and show it to him on my phone - let's pause - when customer's are educating employees on offers and promos yet they work in sales - the train has already left the tracks. Nonetheless he calls a Supervisor over who explains the difference between trade-in and recycle and gets me the coupon I need. Go to order pickup and tell the person (unfortunately the same guy from earlier has now moved over to here) that I need to do a return and apply the coupon now and I explain I did it that way because I wanted to make sure they had the router (which it was showing they were sold out now, so I got the last one). He says he understands and that he should be able to apply the coupon without any issues. This becomes a 20-30 minute process and we end with him saying I got it! I need to return everything. Ring it out from scratch. So he keeps having me check my inbox for emails - okay got the email where everything is returned and went back on my card. I fish my card out expecting to have to swipe it to pay for the new transaction. Now the coupon is not working. Even thought the router is on a very short list of models that work with the coupon. My email is blowing up as he keeps trying stuff but I'm under the impression that he has cancelled the original transaction and he explains he's going to manually apply the coupon discount and calls a manager over to override it and then just when I think I'm good, he tells me I need to make sure I hang onto this gift card because there's a balance on it? Seriously, train your people. What should've been really simple IS (it's still going on now as I try to get them to return the funds to my card) a nightmare and online support is not much better. First agent disconnected abruptly. Second agent stated I was in the wrong place but she would transfer me to the right place. Third agent stated I'm in sales, not returns still let me transfer you. Fourth agent was completely unresponsive. Well if nothing else, your shoddy service is consistent online as it is in-store. And Best Buy employees stay complaining about job security but where is that concern when it comes to taking care of customers, which sorry to be the bearer of bad news, is why you have a job in the first place? Anyone can shop online, but certain things (like this dumb coupon) require a trip to the store and a forced interaction with an employee(s) - so maybe that's the other takeaway figure out how to take these offerings and make them work online where I could've just taken care of all of this on my own and gotten it right the first time (on my own). read more

Worst was they would not let me put two screws in the back to child proof TV. Asked to do it before they set it on stand against wall. Now too heavy to move by myself. Best Buy is my favorite store and this is my favorite Best Buy location. The sales associates are friendly and knowledgeable. I spend a small fortune here yearly and am an Elite Plus member. This review only shows 3 stars because the 3rd party appliance installation service they use is terrible. I recently bought a washer, dryer, and refrigerator here. When the appliances were delivered the base for the dryer was damaged. Things went down hill from there. The installers dented the dryer by kneeling on top of it. Then they flooded the laundry room because the drain line wasn't secured when they tested the washer. They forgot to turn the water to the washer back on before they left which naturally caused the washer to display an error code. One of the doors on the fridge was also dented. The next installers were pros. They replaced all the damaged gear and were awesome. Then a week later another installer showed up to install our 2nd ice maker, which didn't work. The repair installer called me while in route to tell me 1) my ice maker must be defective, and 2) he didn't know anything about ice makers! I've spent over an hour now with Best Buy trying to help them figure out how to navigate their internal processes to get my ice maker working. Now, to be fair, I am super happy with Best Buy 99% of the time I have found their geek squad services to be great. We recently had 2 flat screens wall mounted and our 65 inch flat screen color calibrated. All of which was expertly executed. And the advice of their sales associates has been spot on. All I can hope is that Best Buy gets a better appliance installation process in place ASAP. read more

I was having difficulties with my iPhone. I took it to Best Buy, and one of the geek squad members tried several approaches, but they did not work. He sent me to Alejandro in their cell phone section. Alejandro worked on the phone, spoke with AT&T, advanced technical support and resolve the problem. Both of these employees gave me all of their attention for an extended period of time. I highly recommend this store for technical support with iPhones. read more
