My wife and I recently had our A/C units on our home replaced. We had 2 Carrier Weathermaker 8000 spilt units that were installed when the home was built in 1996. We have a 2-story home with the condensers at ground level outside and the rest of the units (air handler, gas furnace, a/c coils) in the upstairs attic. We had been talking about having them replaced for the last few years. I had 5 different A/C Repair / Install company's come to my home 2 years ago to give me quotes on having the units replaced. It seemed like each time a different estimator was at my home the estimator would tell me something more / different than the other estimators that had already been to my home. This didn't give me a good feeling about having any of those companies do the work. We had a family gathering in late April and a cousin recommend Cooper Climate Control. About 2 weeks later our upstairs unit stopped working, so we decided to have our units replaced. I called Cooper Climate Control and Kendall Cooper came out and gave us an estimate. I spoke with him about all the different things I had been told by the other contractors. Kendall spent time explaining the different things that I had questions on. He took measurements and talked with me about performance needs and requirements. When he was finished, he said he would send me a proposal that night for my review. Kendall was a man of his word and sent the proposal that evening. He called me the next day to verify that I received the email and to let me know he was available to answer any questions we may have about the proposal. I contacted Kendall with a few questions about the different options. Kendall succinctly explained the differences in the options that I had questions regarding. I felt comfortable with Kendall and the information he provided so we decided to use Cooper Climate Control to replace our units. I contacted Kendall and we scheduled the replacement to occur on Tuesday, May 30th through Wednesday, May 31st. Kendall said they would try and have both units done in one day, but wanted us available in case there was a reason they needed to come back on the second day. The first crew of installers showed up around 7:30am and the second crew arrived around 8:30 am, they worked until about 7:15pm and finished the installation of both units on Tuesday. After the installation was completed Kendall spent the time to walk me through the new thermostats and documentation of the new units. Kendall stressed how important it was for me to register the 2 new units, which I could do online. Kendall let me know that he would be completing the APS rebate paperwork for the 2 units for us, also. Kendall follow up with us to let us know when the rebate process was completed and provided us the APS project ID and contact information for the APS Rebate department if we had any questions on our rebate. We received our APS rebate check in the mail on June 17th, less than 3 weeks after the work was completed. I didn't expect the rebate back that quickly. Everything about the whole process was much better than I thought it would be. Replacing an HVAC system is no joke. We've used Cooper several times in the past and been very satisfied with the service and pricing. However, when we needed service two weeks ago, since it wasn't an emergency they scheduled us 2 weeks out. Fair enough, until they didn't show up. When we called to ask when they were coming, the woman on the phone (claims to be the owner) was rude, disrespectful, and flat out ignorant. She even hung up on us, and when we tried to call back she kept diverting the call to a voicemail - I know this because when we called from a different phone number, she picked up right away. When asking when we could get rescheduled, she wouldn't even answer because she was too busy yelling and berating us for something that was quite clearly Cooper's mistake. The dropped the ball and didn't get it scheduled, and then got pissed off because we still needed service and needed an answer. Ridiculous, and she never did give us a response. So, with no other choice, we are taking our business elsewhere. Unless you want to be treated like crap by this woman because she either can't handle her job, or is just having a bad day, we recommend you find a different AC company that actually appreciates your business. read more

In October 2017, Kendall with Cooper Climate Control installed our 2 new HVAC systems for our house in North Scottsdale. Both Lennox exterior units were XP 20 high efficiency heat pumps with high Seer ratings of 19 and 20 and the CBX 32MV air handlers in separate locations. He also saved us money with the rebates at that time, and we signed up for the Bronze PM maintenance package at that time also. His furnish and installed price beat all the much larger companies by several thousand dollars. The Lennox systems were installed exactly on schedule and they have worked flawlessly for almost 7 years! These units have cut our cooling costs by almost 50%! I could not recommend a better A/C company to service your home. Our unit stopped working on a Saturday around noon while I was at work and my wife was at home with our 2 young children. I had her call several places, and not one would be able to make it out this weekend - the earliest appointment would have been Monday.
