I heard about this place from a family member so I took the drive down to Hammond. We came in and seated ourselves and the place wasn't too packed as it was a late Saturday night. The food is just ok in my opinion. We got wings and cheese sticks. I was not a big fan of the cheese sticks and the wings were fried too hard. The fries were fried hard as well. They have basic sauces and some random sauces as well. My husband liked the Cajun wing sauce as it had a kick to it. The spicy tiger is ok but I think it's a popular sauce here. They also have a bar but the drinks were also just ok. This place is really just ok if your down this way and want wings not something I would go out of my way for.

Usually pretty good food! This time we ordered to go, waited 45-50 min for soggy fries and my order was wrong. I ordered 6 mild honey garlic, but no garlic or honey present!

I don't know when this place went down hill but it has. Ordered a six piece medium and received whatever is in the picture - wrong sauce, old fries and no ranch. When i got home and checked, I noticed the order was wrong, called to explain and the girl who answered was rude and wants the customer to feel stupid. She asked if I was eating the food and if the sauce was orange - obviously it's not or I wouldn't have called about the wrong sauce lol. She said there's no manager, they never offer refunds and said I would have to drive 30 minutes back to them to "exchange" the food. Do better.

OKAY! I have never been to a place that has perfection every time you go there. Their wings are out of this world. I really do hope you all find a place somewhere in Metairie or Kenner Louisiana!!!

Food wasn't even hot. Kraft packs of blue cheese? Really? Our waitress was so slow you could watch paint dry. Watched as people at the bar waited over five minutes for someone to say hello. No manager and customers were washing dishes and trying to fix the tv. Wings were ok barring the fact that they were drowning in sauce. Won't go back.

The workers are standing around doing nothing and the blonde in the back is rude and disrespectful.

If I could give this place a 0 star rating, I would. I called at 11:00 and the worker told me it would be a 25 minute wait. I arrived at 11:28 and I stayed there till 11:55. The workers kept saying that they were working on putting my food in the box. The workers there are very stuck up and are very rude especially the really blonde haired one. I would not recommend this place. I left with no food and they didn't want to give me a refund.

Yum!!! College town favorite. Every time I come back in town it's nostalgic and reminds me of the great wings I had in college.

Definitely looks like a vintage diner. Booths along one wall, metal tables, checkered theme throughout. The floors were clean, the booth was clean as well. My only ick was the glass doors and windows could use some cleaning throughout on a regular daily basis and it would sparkle like a diamond! A very nice young man gave us menus and promptly got us drinks. We ordered a small onion ring for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. Medium sliced onions, lightly breaded and piping hot. For our meal hubby got a side salad with thousand island, an open face roast beef and gravy sandwich and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. I got the Gene Autry which is a chicken fried steak dinner. Served with mashed potatoes with cream gravy and a side salad. It took a little bit for the food to come out, but that's because they cook to order. Everything was piping hot. Large portions, we both had leftovers to bring home. Known for their hand scooped and soft serve ice cream and desserts. For our dessert we ordered a Hershey's chocolate ice cream cone. Hand scooped, delicious! Price wise, it cost us $50 including 20% tip. I did read some negative reviews but did not find any of these things on our visit. Will definitely come back!

Having lived in Austin and being obsessed with BBQ I'd call myself a little bit of a BBQ perfectionist. Anyone who has done it themselves knows to get it right you can't rush it, takes good prep, cooking process, and resting/proper finishing. Salty Joe's definitely focuses on all of those aspects of making good barbecue and the finished product is tasty. Their Brisket is juicy, smokey, and rich beef flavors, the ribs are tender and seasoned well, and the pulled pork is a good balance of prim flavor and smokiness. Don't skip on the drinks (margaritas are delicious) or the desert

My buddy and I stopped in here one Saturday for lunch and decided to split an order of Philly cheesesteak eggrolls and a sampler platter. The eggrolls were solid and came with a cheese dipping sauce. There were 3 of these that were cut in half so really enough for 3-4 people to get a taste. The sampler platter came with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork with 2 sides. We got the beans and corn pudding. The corn pudding is a misnomer as this is really cornbread. Still good though. The meats were all pretty good with the brisket being better than I expected. Their sauces were not my favorite. I think one had some sort of blackberry flavor, but I could have that wrong. The food is pretty good; the service was on point and the place itself is fun and funky.

Our recent New Years Eve visit fell short of the standards this restaurant once upheld. We had our…read morewedding here 7 years ago and had an amazing time. Although we specifically requested a table downstairs, we were instead seated upstairs in what appeared to be an attic-like space off in the corner. The area was poorly arranged, and above our table a hanging light bulb shone directly into our eyes creating an uncomfortable environment. We left this table and went to express our concerns to the hostess. There were plenty of open tables downstairs but she said they were reserved for 7pm when our reservation was for 6pm. My wife said we will just sit at the bar if we have to. We were then placed at a table in a hidden spot beside the fireplace. I say hidden because the lady refilling water forgot about us several times. In addition, portion sizes are small while prices are quite expensive resulting in a disappointing imbalance between cost and value. Dinner for two was $240 not including tip. $62 for a 6oz filet then up charge when asked for more bread!!!! The one redeeming aspect of the experience was our server, Devin, who provided excellent service--professional, attentive, and genuinely courteous. His efforts stood out in an otherwise unsatisfactory visit. He was assigned upstairs but took care of us at this downstairs table.

It started with a nearly 30 minute wait for our first round of cocktails. Then, over an hour for appetizers that came out in drips and drabs. When the main courses arrived two were raw! "I'm so sorry for the wait tonight - we were very busy." No. You weren't busy, you were under prepared. You had reservations so you knew what to expect. If your bartenders are slow because they're chit chatting with customers seated at the bar, you should have a service bartender dedicated to making drinks for the dinning room. If the kitchen is out of goat cheese, you should communicate that to the guest instead of bringing them an item without a key ingredient. Servers should NEVER touch a guests silverware to "make room" for plates or drinks Also "I've only worked here for 3 months so I don't know" is something I should never hear from wait staff. It wreaks of incompetence and poor training. Jacmel has been a sinking ship for years. You've been squeaking by on nostalgia and inertia but last nights disastrous Christmas Eve service was the final straw for my family.
