Pretty good! I was a little annoyed when I asked if they did burgers low-carb style, and one cashier flatly said "No." But the one actually taking my order asked a manager, and it turns out that yes, they do. The burgers tasted great, like straight off the grill. I hear the milkshakes are glorious, will try one next time! Went through the drive through. First off, the girl who took my order was very rude. They then got my order wrong. Everything on the receipt was correct, but the burgers themselves were not correct. They were only partly wrapped and all mashed up. Mayonnaise all over the buns, keeping in mind I specifically requested none at all. They forgot to put ketchup on the burger as well, which I guess someone must have realized because of the 20 packets in the bag. The pickles (or rather the one half of a pickle slice) on my burger was ridiculous. I don't leave reviews often, but this experience definitely warranted one. This is a must visit place...! You can get a Tray which is choice of one item like the Big Double Burger, chopped pork sandwich, etc PLUS two side items (such as chicken wrap or bacon wrap or steak quesadilla or corn dog!) and a huge sweet tea all for $4.99. Or add $1 and get a shake. Crazy good prices, very affordable, and you leave with a full belly. Been to the one in North Carolina, and it's the same good quality as Savannah. Burger is char grilled, so it's got a great taste also. Drive through or eat in, and the place is clean. read more

I love the food great price. What I don't like is all the high school kids just hanging out. Most of which are not eating. Their loud and rude and the management does nothing. Cook Out replaced the Wendy's @ that location. The value plates are VERY economical and there were several to choose from. Pros: Each meal is served in a Styrofoam container, so everyone gets their own clean eating space. (Elsewhere, the entire order is usually on one tray & everyone else makes do.) Service is fast & our order was correct & complete. Cons: To our surprise, the servings are pretty small (although you do get TWO side items). Also, you are assigned a number on your receipt, which they call when the order is ready. Efficient? Yes. Annoying? Yes. All-in-all, good, fast, cheap food. read more

The shakes are delicious however they do a terrible job of mixing them up EVERY time I go. It literally looks like vanilla on top and all the toppings are stuck at the bottom. I have to make a mess mixing up my milkshake because they could not do their job. read more

Decided to give this a try when we visited our daughter in Georgia. Our son told us we need to hit this place-he went to the one in Fredericksburg,Va. The prices are cheap and if you get the "tray" you get one pick of your main sandwich which you can add extras, 2 sides and choice of drink or upgrade to a shake for $1. Got the double burger cheddar style, onion rings and hush puppies -son told me I had to get them- and switched up and got a vanilla milk shake. So good! Couldn't eat it all and had to share the sides.The shake was so thick took a while to get it thru the straw but on a hot day was perfect! Not a spectacular burger but was tasty enough and for the price you can't beat it. For 4 of us it was about $28 but everyone upgraded and had extras. Can't wait to try the different flavored shakes!!! read more

Let me start out by saying they have great food of great quality. But the reasons I am giving them only a two star review is because they lack customer service. They need to take the time to catch up on their customer service skills. Instead of keep asking "anything else, Sir (Mam)" try asking "How would you like that, Sir (Mam)". I mean come on, when I am ordering I like to be asked whether I would like a Regular, Large, or Huge drink it helps illiterate what I am ordering and that you understood exactly what I ordered and that there was no misunderstanding between us. Also when you have a customer come in to order at least Say "Welcome, Thank You for choosing Cook Out" it illiterates that your happy that I here at your restaurant and am ordering food from you. I mean after all I am paying you for it which means more money. So for the 2 star review it is because of the lack of customer service which carries more weight than your quality of food. Be aware just make sure you tell them what all you want don't expect them to ask you how you would like it, like most places would. read more

We have tried a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, quesadillas, hot dogs, corn dogs, onion rings, fries, slaw, etc. at this Cookout since they opened this summer. We have been about six times and always have ordered and eaten inside. They have gotten our orders correct each time and service is fast unless they have a rush and compared to McDonald's and other local fast food places that are not managed well during a rush, this crew knows how to work a crowd fast. We have not waited more than 8 minutes and that was because of a huge crowd. Food is fresh, tea is fresh, and price is so reasonable you really need not complain! I don't particularly care for the fries but my family likes them. The burgers and chicken do taste like you are getting them from a backyard grill so that is a major plus. Again, the price is insanely reasonable. The only things this mom's heart does not like is the lack of healthy side options (only close to healthy side is the cole slaw which my preschooler shuns) and WAY too much styrofoam is used. Has anyone in the corporate office been outside their bubble lately to see that most of the fast food world has figured out how to lessen landfill destructive waste? I have written corporate about it so I hope they change that soon because when we spend our fast food budget, this Cookout is the best way to spread that budget so you can eat out for half the price of other similar places which means less cooking for mom and 2x out for the price of 1! This place should be shut down. We decided to drop by for a quick lunch. I have been to this location multiple times, but not for a few months. When we arrived, we noticed the garbage cans overflowing, empty tables uncleared and unclean and a line at the register. Thinking it would go quickly, we decided to chance it. The young man behind the register was simply incompetent. Sorry to be so harsh, but he could barely think in a linear fashion let along multi task. It took 15 minutes to place our order. I had to give him the order FIVE times before he keyed it correctly. The could behind me, when they ordered and tried to pay with cash sent him into shut down as he could not make change. There was absolute chaos in the back and we noticed many examples of unsafe food handling from the open kitchen. When our order finally arrived, I had to go back to the counter for two forks as nothing was stocked. I asked the young man for two of them, he told me to wait as he was in the middle of some other self created chaos, then went to the back and came out with ONE fork. Made him go back for the second - hey, how about you just restock! Had lunch that was lesser quality than I've had. Left half of lunch on the tray. We will never go back. Their heath department rating, posted, has plummeted. Don't think it is safe to try this place. Suggestion - try getting some management that can put this place back under control. read more

I love cook out and how they stay open till late, but o my gosh their drive thru is terrible. I ask for a bbq plate they give me a sandwich. They always try to rush me to get my total and leave, but I'm not done ordering! I ask to review my order and she just ignore me for about 5 minutes. Coming from New York I have never heard of this place but man lemme tell you this place is freaking awesome. My hotel was conveniently located across the street and this place was intriguing enough to check out. I am glad I did. Best fastfood place ive ever been too. Soooo many food options, awesome meal options and 40 different shake flavors. Tasted great for fastfood quality food, large portions, great service and clean environment. I've never had this type of experience before today but today was bad enough to give this review. we went right at lunch time so we expected it to be busy, which it was. they only have two registers and only one person working just the register. the person working the second register was also calling out when the orders came up. I ordered the cookout tray with two slaw dogs, onion rings and a bacon wrap. I got four onion rings, FOUR. both of my slaw dogs were so soggy I couldn't even eat them. they fell apart with just simply picking them up. I ate there so it's not like they had time to sit or anything. they were disgusting. and I couldn't even eat the little onion rings I actually got because it was basically all breading. I took two bites and still didn't get any onion. I just gave up. I'm sure this all happened because they were so busy but I would have still liked to not have hotdogs that were dripping. read more

I've always loved cooked out the amazing food and the friendly service. I must say yesterday after the lunch hour rush I went through the drive thru I had the worst experience, first of all a girl was taking my order then a guy interrupt then it seems like nobody was paying attention to what I was saying I for was being asked about the whole order. When I got to the window I was completely ignored before anybody opens the window to me which is not a big deal I'm just so use to this two other girls that so quick to open that window talk to me get me going. Anyway I got to my office and I can't even eat my sandwich it got onions on it I'm allergic what really upsets me is the fact that I was asked to repeat my order to two different order takers and neither one got it right! Another thing the friend service that I normally get on almost a daily basis from the other two girls I didn't get that today at all maybe because neither one of them was there today that's probably why my sandwich wasn't right either at least those two workers make sure there's no onions on my sandwich every time I come through there for I am a regular customer but it might not be for long if other people going to take my order and half way pay attention to my order. read more
