The people at the drive thru were really rude. I went around 1am on December 30th. It was our first time trying "the cook out", and he had no patience. The food came out within 2-3 minutes (4 burgers, chili cheese fries, shake, 2 corn dogs, cheese curds) and the food was room temperature, burger patties were burned. Avoid this place if you're looking for anything of decent quality. McDonald's or Burger King on a bad day with horrible service, would taste better than this garbage. read more

Y'all this cook out location is awesome! They're fast, kind, and my order is always accurate. They have two sides for their drive through like as well as a walk up window. The line at 12:30 AM was disgustingly long but I understand the random hungry cravings in the middle of the night. Overall, it was worth the wait as the food was pretty good. I just got a regular cheeseburger and it was a good late night fast food choice. Definitely better than the burgers at McDonald's and I wish there was a Cook Out where I was. My friends got fries and it tasted great with the Cook Out sauce. Even though the fries were a bit soggy by the time I had it, flavor was solid and enjoyable. It was late...they were open...so we went. I don't usually eat Cookout, but I was starving and had a headache. The line as long and slow. When we got to the order box, the order taker sounded tired and had no enthusiasm whatsoever. Definitely wasn't Chick-fil-a, but I ordered a Junior tray with chicken strips and double onion rings. I just love Cook Out's food, and it's dangerous how close this location is to me. One thing that does keep me at bay unless I have a really serious craving is the line. Cook Out is NOT fast food. Last time I visited, the line took at least half an hour. At least. I love their milkshakes, especially the orange push up, Oreo, and vanilla. I always upgrade to a shake with my tray. For the tray, I'm all about their bacon cheese dogs, white cheddar curds, and fries. I recently introduced my mom to their food too. She ordered the chicken fingers and chicken nuggets in her tray and labeled them as better than Chic Fil A. Some people come here when they're drunk and hungry. Others come when they're just feeling cheap and want to be full. I DO BOTH. While the universe doesn't like me coming here (my car stalled out twice while in line for food, my own fault for not getting a new alternator until recently), I LOVE COMING HERE. The menu is extensive and there is no way for you not to find several things you're dying to eat on it. I can personally vouch for the chicken quesadillas, hush puppies, french fries, double bacon cheeseburgers, bacon wraps, chicken ranch wrap, and any shake that involves chocolate and/or peanut butter. There are a few tables to eat at, though most people just eat their food on the road or in their cars in the parking spaces. Trust me, once you bite into your food, you won't even notice the chancy surroundings or the fact that your life has been reduced to eating fast food in your car at 2:30 am. Basically, you need a really good reason NOT to want to come to CookOut. Cookout is everything to me. The food is always on point and I go to sleep at night dreaming of their milkshakes. It's serious. The service is usually quick, if you're in a rush, avoid weekends during the day and rush hours. They typically are busiest during the weekends. They do their best to move the line as quickly as possible, but customers are usually the ones holding up the drive-thru. It is important to note that if you have never been here before, please do not go through the drive-thru. You will need to park and order at the front so that you can check out the menu and not hold up the drive-thru trying to figure out what you want to order. The food is so good and it's very cheap. You can leave without spending more than $5.00 and get A LOT of food. As you can tell, I'm very loyal to this place. Also, if you noticed, Wendy's and Burger King are right beside this place. So, now that the newness has worn off this place, you can get in and out the drive through quickly and leave with piping hot food off the grill. Whats funny about this place is they have 2 drive through windows, one on the normal side and one that opens on the passenger side. The entire line was on the normal side one, and there was no one on the one that opens to the passenger side.. So I drove right up, ordered and kept it moving. Quick, fast and in a hurry... I have no problem reaching scross the front seat to get my food if it means I can blow through a drive through in 5 minutes. QUALITY, PRICE, HOURS OF OPERATIONS are what give Cookout 5 stars. Cookout has mastered the art of quality at a awesome price point and a nice combination of menu items. Keep in mind this is fast food and fresh meat. I love the tray, I usually get a hamburger and fries with a chicken finger wrap. They are open late which is why college students love it. I was a little skeptical before trying out CookOut but I definitely am a fan. The food is fair-to-good for the price. A "tray" of an entree (burger, other sandwich), two sides (fries, corndog, onion rings, hush puppies), and a drink (add a dollar for a shake) for less than five dollars! The burger was better than expected (kind of like a mini five guys burger) with good enough options (lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, cheese for extra). Onion rings were good. Hush puppies were ok. I've had the Snickers shake and I have to constantly keep myself from going back for more. The size of the shake is really good too, it's not too big (thinking of Sweet 95 next to Kitchen 64), but still enough to have half the next day. The shake is on the thicker side but I liked it. Sooo goood. I do agree about having more menus earlier in the line- there are so many options that you do feel rushed when ordering. The food comes pretty quickly. The short line with the reach across window is a little annoying but does make things go faster. Since this is primarily a drive-thru joint, the place is usually packed. However, the wait isn't bad at all due to the fast service. Get the tray, it's the best value (a sandwich/entree, 2 sides, and a drink or milkshake [for a little extra $]) for under $5. I used to always get the burgers, which are delicious and better than Mcdonald's in my opinion, but I moved on to the BBQ grilled burger.
