Half Chicken; Black Beans

All-in-all, in patronizing Chicken Fiesta over the years, I love this place for a quick healthier-than-not tasty meal. Their chicken is a staple for a reason. Other items can be hit or miss, e.g., their ribs and steak/carne asada can sometimes be dry and tough, other times it's perfect. I also love tamales so I'm happy you can get it two different ways. Lunch hours seem to be their busiest so I prefer to go for dinner. I sometimes get their food via Doordash and never really had any significant issues other than a missing drink or something minor. They're quite efficient with delivery.

Saw great reviews for Chicken Fiesta so decided to try it myself. I had a great experience here! It's a fastfood restaurant with plenty of seats inside and outside. Parking was not a problem as there's a lot beside it. Service staff were warm and friendly. Since it was our first time trying yucca fries, they even gave us 2 pieces to try with their sauce. Yum! It was great! We were advised that the grilled salmon will take at least 20 minutes to prepare which was fine. The food was great, flavorful and affordable! Got 1/4 rotisserie chicken and 6 oz steak with yucca fries and coleslaw. The chicken and steak were so flavorful! The chicken sandwich combo was also good. The grilled salmon with tossed salad and rice was not as flavorful as the chicken and steak but it was fine. And there are the desserts. Y U M. The tres leches and flan were great! Will try the fried ice cream next time. Giving this place 5/5 for great service, comfort food, and bang for your buck!

Chicken Fiesta is one of my all-time favorite fast food restaurants (though their rotisserie chicken is so good that I don't even think of it as unhealthy fast food). I love to get the yucca fries on the side. Literally when I feel like I can't decide on a restaurant, I always end up going to Chicken Fiesta as their rotisserie chicken never disappoints. Service is relatively fast. I usually order takeout, but restaurant seems clean inside. I love Chicken Fiesta!

Salmon, rice and plantains.

I eat at chicken fiesta at least 3x a week. I usually get the chicken. Which I absolutely love. Typically I'll get rice and plantains with it. Never had an issue. This night I decided on the salmon. It was edible but definitely overcooked and dry. I'll stick to the chicken. But if you've never eaten here the chicken is the bomb. The chicken soup is delicious too. Service is ALWAYS really good. A family style restaurant so feel free to bring the kids. Highly recommended.

The chicken Fiesta chicken is always a hit with my family and my wallet!! Budget friendly and delicious!!!! The portions are big. The yellow and green sauces are also really great additions to whatever dish you order. The customers at this location can be a little sketchy. When we recently went there was a drunk roaming around the dining room harassing customers. The police were called and got the situation under control. Just be aware these kinds of scenarios may happen because this place is so close to the city.

I normally love chicken fiesta, but it was absolutely disgusting this last time. The beans tasted like dirty water and the rice had no flavor. I ordered a carryout meal and I would've driven back to complain, but the restaurant had closed.

They posted this 2/4 a few days after the latest Epstein drop.

I used to love this place but then they got political and incredibly tone deaf in their Instagram. Food is good, but I can't in good conscience keep supporting this business.

Chimichanga

Was craving for a burrito so we tried Chicken Fiesta. It was very busy inside, I wasn't expecting so many people to be dining in, I had always thought this was a more take out type place but the inside was very inviting. We got the grande burrito and chimichanga to go. The food held up well on our drive home (about 10 minutes). The car smelled incredible and I couldn't wait to see if the food tasted as good as it smelled. The grande burrito was jam packed with lots of chicken, rice, sour cream, pico and guac. I really enjoyed the rice that came with the chimichanga, it was very flavorful. I love Peruvian chicken, the flavor really came through in the burritos. My favorite addition was the 4 extra green sauces. Perfectly spicy and added a little extra moisture to the burritos. Will definitely be back to try the enchiladas/ taco next time!

Steak enchiladas
Menghai T.

Came here for lunch and got the steak enchiladas. There was another extra $1 surcharge to get steak in it. There was a good amount of cheese on top of the enchiladas but not much enchiladas sauce. The steak was fantastic as always here. The rice was good and came with pico and sour cream. Personally not a fan of the beans here so I didn't eat them. Overall a quick and fast place to get Mexican food. I would suggest the chimichangas over the enchiladas. I ended paying $14 for just the enchiladas which is a little on the higher end but still good enough to satisfy the craving. Food: 6.3 Staff/service:n/a Value: 6.5 Overall: 6.4/10

Although Chicken Fiesta is not my preferred restaurant for rotisserie chicken (I like Canastas and DC Charcoal), their other offerings are what keep me coming back! I always get the Taco or Chalupa salad with Steak and Chicken and it's always so so good! Today, I also got a single beef taco and that was really good too! I do think they cook their beef with olives and I hate olives, but olive taste is very mild. The restaurant is also ways clean and service is always great as well. I love Chicken Fiesta and definitely recommend you try it.

Always a pleasure with service and food ! I ordered the 1/4 Rotisserie chicken with rice and pinto beans. The serving size is still a great portion. You can never go wrong with the rotisserie here. Everything on this menu is fire. Still one favorite locations to eat at in Richmond. Been a while since I've been here , will be here for lunch soon!!

Alfajores

I've been wanting to try Chicken Fiesta for a while and am happy I finally checked it out for lunch the other day. My partner and I shared an order of the half chicken with a side of yuca fries and salad. We also ordered mango juice and a alfajor. I loved the half chicken we ordered. It reminded me of Peruvian chicken we would order growing up. It was cooked just right with great flavors. It was so juicy. The salad was very plain. The yuca fries here are the best yuca fries I've ever had. They're fresh, hot, and have the absolute perfect crunch. I highly recommend ordering them as a side. I loved this fast casual spot. There was a lot of seating available inside and outside. It's great for big groups or families. The people who work here are extremely kind. You order up front and get a buzzer to call you when your food is ready. My partner loved his mango juice. I wasn't a fan of the alfajor and plan to order the flan next time. They have great prices here. I can't wait to revisit to try more things on their menu.

Enchilada Combo
Emily S.

I get an enchilada combo from here for takeout at least once a week and it's phenomenal every single time. It's still hot and fresh by the time I get it home. I absolutely adore this place.

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

The ambiance can be described as eclectic and casual. It's great for big groups and relaxed lunches. There's a variety of menu options for food and drink. Our server was nice, but she didn't really answer our questions about the menu or substitutions, which was a little inconvenient. Also, we kept having to ask for utensils and napkins, which made our food get a bit cold. The pineapple habanero margarita tasted like spicy pineapple juice and was pretty expensive. It was pretty, but not worth the money. The food also was really average, but the portion sizes were good for sharing. The huitlacoche tacos were a little bland and soggy, the chicken chipotle tacos had a good sauce but were also soggy and the fajitas did not have enough seasoning. Not a restaurant that I would come back to, but I liked it's proximity to other dessert places nearby.

I was provided with Sriracha, but if you slather it on, that's all you taste! Wife's bulgogi burrito was better, but all-in-all we weren't thrilled. When you factor in the difficulty of street parking downtown, and the price (2 lunch burritos with tip and tax were @ $45) I don't think we'd make a special effort to return.

The calamari were crispy and came out hot and throwing a little something different since this place is a fusion of Mexican/Chinese it came with gyoza dipping sauce. The menu is filled with options that combine two different styles but if you are not feeling adventitious you can get the standard. For the main course I went with the Szechuan Surf & Turf Burrito. Yooooooo.......... I was like who... no what ..... why .... How did someone come up with this. It is like when you visit somewhere and have good food but you know you are visiting and will not have it again until you return. Hopefully the place is still open. So much flavor packed up and rolled by some angel's hands back in that kitchen. No hunting for shrimp as with some places when they tell there is shrimp in the selection. I am so glad we decided to eat there because you can tell this is the type of meal where eating it hot is the only way to do it justice. This place is not the first to have a fusion of foods, but I can say it does a better job than most. Richmond has some great eating spots and is quietly a foodie spot to check out.

It is so crunchy and delish! I had them put the chile on the side. Only complaint is that the chicken was half the size from the picture on their website. Felt a little cheated here. My guest had the King's Memorial combo. It was huge, but bursting with flavors and it came with a crispy taco on the side. Loved the creamy jalapeño sauce, the salsa was refreshing and bright, and the queso was yellow with (likely) rotel mixed in, but definitely delicious.
