Micah and I were running some errands today and he was hungry all of a sudden...what's new? The moment you leave the house with a fridge stuffed with food choices, your kid says, "Hey Dad, I'm hungry." Anyway, I didn't want fast food...I hate it! But Micah was in the mood for a chicken sandwich, so as we were heading towards our destination we saw Cook Out and stopped to get him a quick bite to eat. For kiddos especially, this place is awesome. The have great combo packs, milkshakes, and aren't just limited to burgers and fries. They have quesadillas, corn dogs, burgers, chicken, etc. Needless to say, he was very pleased with his meal. He really likes this place. And I like the inexpensive prices and value.

Across from the WalMart on Rutherford, this location is in an area that sees heavy traffic during weekdays and when MTSU is in session. The restaurant is easy to see, just turn in when you see Starbucks or Cook Out if you are coming from the south. The burgers really do taste like you went to a friends house and had a burger that they cooked on their grill. Not fancy but satisfying. The slaw is straight out of a famous fried chicken chain that is know for a founder that likes wearing white suits. The beans are better left behind the counter as they were very salty. I can get behind the shakes, though. The flavor selection is large and my peanut butter shake was rich and creamy and tasted like they put real peanut butter in it, which I'm hoping they did! Overall, a decent place for a casual meal. Just stay away from those beans!

Got this Corndog today from Cook Out Burgers. Definitely don't recommend. Wow!

Got this Corn Dog from here today. Quality control is not up to par. Definitely don't recommend. Wow!

First time at this restaurant chain. We got the food to go. The only reason why I'm not giving this restaurant one star is because my daughter liked her pulled pork. The burger patties were super small and over cooked. The fries were under-seasoned and the hush puppies were tasteless. We won't be back.

Great price for cheap cafeteria style burgers and fries! Whenever I'm in town, I must stop here! While I was pregnant I would sometimes eat here twice during my stay in Murfreesboro. The burgers are good, always cooked made to order, very fresh, hot, and tasty. I love the cheese fries here. Crinkle fries with actual cheese sauce. None of that sprinkle shredded cheese. The fast food joint itself is very clean inside. I would highly recommend stopping here.

Opening night of a new restaurant. How glamorous! Really though, the place is fairly good, especially considering the price. The selections are what one might call standard American "summertime" fare; burgers, hotdogs, assorted chicken items, and pulled bbq plates. They have a pretty impressive milkshake list as well. The restaurant bills itself as "cooked outdoors style", and I'd have to agree based on what I tried. My burger tasted like something that would game off a grill at a park, or perhaps from the concession shack of a little league game. The veggies on the burger were of higher quality than I expected for the price. There are quite a few side items to choose from, and you're able to pick two for a combo. I also opted for a shake, and it was definitely better than most shakes from fast food joints. The prices are very low as well; with most of the sandwich items being a couple bucks and nearly all of the sides only costing 99 cents. Their combos are slightly over 4 dollars. All in all, it seems a decent alternative to typical nationwide burger chains, especially if you're wanting to spend very little. Opening up right next to several student apartment complexes was probably a brilliant decision on their part, as this is exactly the sort of place I would have loved to have next door during my broke college days.

Cheap yummy burgers. Way better than a McDonald's, Wendy's, burger king burger. Highly recommend, glad we stopped in while out of town.

It was so cold in there I had to wear a toboggan! I would've wore gloves but I didn't want to get ketchup on them!! Burger was good though.

Would NOT recommend! I contacted them via facebook messenger the other day about coming to our…read morecommunity wide yard sale event in June and did not get a response. I called the number today on their page today and the person said they got my message on facebook and they'd look at their calendar and get back with me. As they was hanging up they said, and I quote, "Every day these mother f**kers be calling" and that was all I heard before the line went dead. I called back to let them know I heard them and not to worry about looking at the calendar and they said okay and hung up on me. Just wow. Clearly they do NOT want business.

I love a good hot dog. This might have been a great hot dog, but I'll never know. The DNJ…read morepublished an article about them and where this food truck would be this weekend. Drove over 20 miles to get there. Walked up to look at the menu and order and the first thing I saw was "CASH ONLY." I'm fine with that but I wish the article would have mentioned it. It's 2020 - no reason with technology you can't take a card. I would say that if the card fees are prohibitive then just raise your prices, but when I looked at the menu and saw not a single hot dog below $10 then I just laughed it off and left. I bought a 6 pack of great Nathan's all beef jumbo dogs at Kroger for $2.87. Good luck but y'all have got to come back to reality and get in the century before you make a living at those rates taking only cash.
