Visited December 9, 2025 For as long as Five Guys has been around, I had somehow never tried it - until this year. Today was my third visit to the Smyrna location, and I'm officially a fan. Service & Food: The service has been consistently friendly, and the food has been spot-on every time. For a fast-casual spot, the dining area is as clean as it gets, and the restroom was surprisingly tidy as well. Small Suggestion: My only recommendation would be to keep the pumped ketchup stocked. Other than that, the team here is absolutely killing it. Extras & Convenience: When dining in, they usually bring your food right to your table after you order at the counter- not always but a nice touch. The women's restroom has a changing table (bonus points), and there's plenty of hassle-free parking. Price Point: Expect to spend around $23 for a cheeseburger with all the toppings, a soda, and little fries. Overall, this location delivers a great experience and has officially made me a Five Guys customer whenever seeking a burger. read more

I had a very upsetting experience at this Five Guys location on March 20, 2026, around 9:30 PM. I waited outside the restroom for over 15 minutes. When the employee finally came out, instead of being respectful, she immediately gave me an aggressive attitude. When I asked if everything was okay since I had been waiting so long, she became verbally aggressive and insulted me, including calling me a "fat ass." I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and was simply trying to use the restroom. Being spoken to this way was extremely humiliating and emotionally distressing. Another individual, who claimed to be her brother, was also present and aggressively yelled at me. I felt intimidated and unsafe, especially being 35 weeks pregnant. My partner had to step in because he was shouting at me. The shift leader on duty, Corey Hedges, did not properly handle the situation and instead implied that I had escalated it. No customer should ever be treated this way, especially not by employees. This was completely unacceptable and very disappointing. read more

We did a take out order for 3 people. Nothing was correct. Two burgers were supposed to be wrapped in lettuce with condiments we chose. They were dry patties in foil pans. No lettuce at all. Condiments were missing from all 3 burgers. We ordered a regular order of fries to share which is usually more than enough. We got a very skimpy small order. $41.00 for this mess. read more

The staff at store 1044 was so great! I went in having not been to a Five Guys in about 10 years. My cashier Daniel was very helpful and friendly, he helped me pick out a "secret menu" shake called the "double stuff" where they put in Oreo pieces and crème (as opposed to the two options shown where they're separated). I ordered a small fry and wow, first of all I was not expecting such an abundance of fries and not only that but they were fresh hot and salted to perfection. I'm so glad I stopped in. Previously I had left a glowing five-star review that was a tad overzealous. Don't get me wrong- I still love this location, but today I noticed that the menu prices are quite high- even for such an impressive burger. My regular order comes out at $21.99. I'm not expecting that kind of money to feed two or anything, but it's a high payment for one. The Bacon cheeseburger was delicious, nice and juicy. More thick than round, and I paid $12.89 for it ala carte. Fries were ok, got a ton of them with a med. Paid $5.99. I would not get the fries again but I might get another of the less expensive burger which start at $10.89. I have never eaten here before, wanted to try at my so suggestestion. If they cut the bacon CB down in price to say 9.89 it would be a nice treat once in a while. Staff was nice and accomodating. read more

Not in compliance with COVID 19 safety. The women working the counter pickup made it obvious that they didn't see my order ticket until I walked in. Furthermore her mask was not over her nose the entire time!!! And she was making burgers!! Also the staff must have pissed someone off bc they very loudly talked about a customer who might of just left after growing impatient with his wait. There were 4 of us all waiting and clearly heard the entire team call him "arrogant " and say "oh, well, he left!" And once they were done with my order another "OH it's that time! Five Guys is a place to go when you need quantity and quality, in that order. Located where Firehouse Subs is also located. The store is bright, airy and clean. The staff is enthusiastic and jumped on getting my order out. The burgers are made to order, so don't expect a pre-cooked burger and your food in 30 seconds. The fries are boardwalk style, meaning they are not crunchy, a la McD's, but warm with a hot center. Order a regular order (of fries) unless you have an incredible case of munchies because they will give you a cup that is way above overflowing with fries and a large order is just too much of a good thing! I had the junior burger, which is a single (one patty). The regular is a double (two patties). All of this info is on a menu board hanging over the cashier's station. While you are waiting, help yourself to the peanuts and don't feel bad about dropping the shells on the floor, it's expected. With the fries cooked in peanut oil and the free peanuts all over the store, don't come here if you have a peanut allergy. All in all, Five guys has a simple menu and they stick to what they know best! read more

Had a craving for a nice juicy hamburger. Was able to place an order online and by the time I got the the store my order was ready! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with all the fixings on lettuce (no bun). I was going to wait until I got home to eat it but it smelled so good that I just sat in the parking lot and downed it. The burger was full of flavor and the toppings were just enough. Whenever I get a hankering for a burger I always seem to end up at five guys. So glad there is one semi close to my house!! The store itself was clean. There was a steady lunch rush at the time but still plenty of places to sit inside if you choose too. They have open boxes of peanuts for you to snack on so if you have an allergy I wouldn't recommend coming here. The staff is super friendly and inviting. Five guys is a perfect American diner experience. We stopped in on our way out of town and enjoyed the overwhelming quantity of fries, the tasty burgers, and the wide variety of soda fountain drinks. The Smyrna 5guys where we have gone for years has changed their burger buns!! If I wanted to eat thick white cotton - I wouldn't do it with a hamburger. Absolutely ruined what used to be a great meal!! And when I phoned to complain to the manager she was rude and could not have cared less !! Too bad - we won't be back!!!! read more

The food is good. Sure. That's great. But this place has managed to mess up orders in every separate occasion that I've visited. The first time they gave my friend mayo she never asked for. Mayo makes her SICK. LITERALLY ILL. The next time I asked for a double and got a single. TODAY They messed up two orders at once. What should've been a double bacon cheeseburger with everything on it? Was a double missing 3 things. Including BACON. We are fans of Five Guys in Murfreesboro, but have not been there in a while. I recently visited the restaurant in Smyrna for the first time. The food is EXCELLENT. Truly, the best burgers around. My wife is a French Fry aficionado. She loves their fries. The restaurants in Murfreesboro and Smyrna are consistent and similar. So you know I love their food. That is why I rated them high. There were a few minor issues that knocked them down to four stars instead of five. - Dirty tables - Condiments not stocked - Did not tell me that there were free peanuts - "Dine-in" and "Take-out" are all served in a paper bag. You are supposed to know this. Personal concerns - A bit of "Sticker shock" $15 for a loaded burger, fries and drink. - I forgot how big a "small" order of fries were. "Million dollar fries, $7 cheeseburger..." OK, these are French fries done right! It's about time a fast food restaurant realized the a-peel (get it a-peel, appeal - I crack me up!) of fresh hand cut French fries! If more restaurants would go this route, their business would increase dramatically. They also hand form their burgers which is good, but I like my burgers a LOT thicker than 5 guys cooks theirs. They do have two patties and they are good, just not my favorite way to eat 'em. You cannot cook a thin burger medium especially on a flat-top in line production cooking environment where speed is important. They don't have the time to pay attention to the individual burger - after all, it is "fast" food. The small order of fries is huge for about $2.89 + tax - enough for 2 people easy. I like the seasoned ones as well. They have a unique offering of free peanuts while you wait. A cheeseburger, little fries and a small soft drink will set you back $13.58. Even if you share a fry and you each get a drink it will be close to $25 for two people - sit-down restaurant prices - Logan's for example - which also has free peanuts and char-broiled burgers! I was really excited when they came to town and couldn't wait to try them out. I had my expectations set way too high. The fries delivered - the burgers just let me down - I haven't had one in years. I will stop here for fries and get a burger from Hardees or Fat Mo's or a Chick Fil-A sandwich as I am not a fan of their waffle fries. read more

Hamburgers hamburgers, what's so hard about getting it right, I read the Zagats review and how they said that Five Guys is the best over In & Out Burger. Well I tried it and found a few things to be different and cool; I get to load as many topping as I want and it's all free, I just pay for a very expensive burger with single patty that was fatty and dropped down all over the place. The French fry's' are served in a cup and come out dark brown as I see by the boxes of oil they are using the unhealthy peanut Oil that most fast food places stopped using years ago, they also tasted like the oil was old and had been used one - two many times. SICK! I found Five Guys to be dirty both in the bathrooms when I washed up before and after lunch, the keep a clean box of salted peanuts on the dirty full trash can, one health code violation after another. Now to the burger, one patty that dripped fat and made a mess as they use only foil paper to warp it, fat is and adds flavor cheap along with the loads of salt they add so many companies like this use cheap beef loaded with fat to get better margins. Unlike In & Out Burger where I get the 4x4 and it never drip fat as they use lean high quality meat and season it much better without all that fat and salt added at Five Guys. Somebody at Zagats was clearly paid off or just never checked the facts by trying the burgers; you can always cut corners and try to make a better burger but in the end it will just taste like fat and salt. I ordered on-line. It said that pick-up time was 11:44. I was there by 11:45. I stood for nearly fifteen minutes watching people walk in and order and get their food while I stood there. I finally went up to see if I could just cancel the order and get a refund. Then they realized that they had the wrong name. My order was ready and sitting - just needed to add fries which took 20 seconds. Such great burgers, but don't know if it is worth the disorganization. I walked out of the store at 12:03 after placing my order originally at 11:30, and only getting my order when I was ready to walk out empty handed. read more

Best hamburgers, best fries of any chain restaurant hands down. I've tried them all, and you simply can't beat Five Guys. The burgers are cooked perfect, juicy and hot. The toppings are fresh and the buns with sesame seeds are excellent. The menu is simple, just burgers and dogs. Pick one or two patties, add cheese, bacon and toppings and you're good to go. The fries are thick cut perfection. Try them with the Malt vinegar and a little salt and you won't be disappointed. The service is usually friendly and the food comes out pretty quick. The only negative I can say is it can get pricey for lunch. You're looking at about $12 for burger, fries, and a drink. But it is really worth every penny. One of the quotes on the wall says "Five Guys serves heaven on a bun", and that sums it up for me! read more

Best burger joint in Smyrna. I love this place. I love the fact you can see your food being cooked and prepared. Everything they have on the menu is to die for. The team members are upbeat and very quick. This place runs very smoothly. Not to mention the management. My burger was good, however nothing spectacular. I came with my 2 grandsons. They don't offer any type of kids options and the four of us cost $42. Im not sure why everyone raves about this place. I have been to 3 different locations and its just blehh. Nothing to rave about in my opinion really. The fries, yes, they are good and you get a lot of them but their burgers?? Not really floating my boat. This place is expensive in my opinion. For my family of four we usually get a drink for me, my fiance, and the kids share a drink. I get a burger and so does my fiance and the kids share a burger. We get a large fry to share and we still end up spending 30-40 bucks. For a fast food joint that is a little expensive to me. I would much rather go to Fat Moes and get a biggers better burger for half the price. The only thing that bring me to Five Guys is my fiance, it if wasnt for him I would never step foot inside a Five Guy again. read more
