We pulled up to the drive thru to place our order and the female taking our order was so courteous and patient....My elderly Mom was with me and I asked for some time to discuss the options for shakes and the lady said pls take your time...after discussing milkshake options and hamburger options- I was finally able to successfully place our order- upon arriving at the window to pay- we were greeted with a beautiful smile and the same voice taking our order whom graciously accepted my apologies for taking so long to order....not only was she calm and patient- she had such a pleasant attitude in this extreme heat and never rushed us for pymt as I was struggling to find my phone or my wallet...it was such a pleasure to come across someone of her age whom understood the meaning of "customer service" and didn't fuss or moan at my disorganization...Was hoping to have a code on the receipt to take a survey to say how amazing this sweet girl was- yet all I see on the receipt is the cashier's name was Amber- IF indeed that is who I dealt with today at this location at 2:26p- girl you are AMAZING and I appreciate you!!!! This Cook Out sits at the busy corner of Gallatin Pike and Conference drive, and is wedged between Taco Bell and Burger King. For the most part, it is your standard Cook Out location, nothing special and nothing terrible. I usually swing through when my partner wants something from the nearby Panda Express, which means we all end up happy with our choices! I don't have a go-to order as the menu has so many variations and combinations, I usually make a game time decision on what I'll be having. However, the one constant with every order is the Oreo peanut butter shake! I mean, that thang is delish and thicc! Service ranges here, and is usually pretty decent. Never any major issues. Food is always on point. Only minor misses and forgetting sauces or condiments on occasion. Most of my visits have been via drive thru, so can't speak to much inside. Ok, I went to this location the day it opened and have continued to go back at least once a week or so since then. You just cannot go wrong with the tray/platter. Though I panic whenever I go through a drive thru, no matter how many times I've seen the menu. I appreciate that I have never gotten anyone on the other side show impatience with me even though they may be. I am unsure why, but I do, I panic and if I don't write it down ahead of time I blank as soon as they give the prompt for me to order. Worst still, I rarely get something different, meaning I KNOW what I want to order and I have it memorized but once I get to the mic, I blank. I usually get a tray with a Hamburger w/ cheese and a combination of corn dog and bacon wrap or chicken nuggets. It isn't too little food and not too much, though I'm sure some argue about the sizing regardless. I've not really had a bad experience here either with the food or the service. Whenever I go to the Taco Bell next door and get stuck in line I always look over and see Cook Outs line rolling along I immediately get envious of everyone on that side. I'm gonna dedicate this paragraph to the onions. At first I thought it was just luck of the draw, getting a big hunk of onion on the burger. You know that, "Do you want a side of burger with your onion?" kind of thing. It's the way ALL the Cook Outs do their onions, they do them thick, and they do them plentiful. My advice would be to skip the onions if it will make it difficult for you to eat the burger. Otherwise, if you're like me, you pick some off to be able to eat the burger then save what you picked for a snack after. They come off really easy and doesn't change the burger at all. If you need a fast in and out lunch or dinner that's decently priced and tastes good this is your place. I highly recommend. Stay safe out there! read more

I was excited to eat at Cook Out for the very first time tonight. I asked my husband to take me and our 7 year old daughter out for a burger. We drove to the Gallatin, TN location and when we arrived, things started to feel uncomfortable. There were people (very obviously) on drugs in the parking lot, outside the front door, and also inside the restaurant. They were coming in and out and banging on the restroom doors. One lady could barley walk straight and another man walked face first into a door. My husband and I had to find a spot as far away from these people as possible and make sure our daughter was seated in the opposite direction so she could not see their behavior. The staff seemed unbothered and allowed these people to congregate at the front door and inside. We were getting ready to leave and we had to use a side door by the drive through to avoid any altercations on our way to our car. We couldn't even walk out the front doors. I'm not sure who the manager on duty was, but I can't begin to believe this would be ok with corporate as representative of your brand. We enjoyed the taste of our burgers, but the experience was anxiety ridden and unpleasant. I just hope someone is able to get a handle on what's happening there since other families with children were also present. We won't return. read more

Walked in and was greeted by Jesus music on the speakers almost as loud as the bars I go to play back home. I guess that's just the south? I digress, goodbye one star. I employ teenagers and know that's mostly all they're worried about. She took our order and it was right, so I'll get over that. They have these "platter" things that come with a miscellany of odd sides, like a bacon wrap and quesadillas. I partook in the Double Burger, with an bacon wrap and hush puppies as my sides. I also upgraded to a Cheesecake milkshake, and that was an awesome idea. The burger was pretty good. A step up from Burger King, but the price point for all the food was only $4.99, so it kind of blew my mind. The sauces were good and the veggies were okay, so their burger was a win in my book. Sides were sides. Bacon wrap was weird; two slices of bacon with ranch in a tortilla. Oh, and all the way at the bottom there were like three shreds of cheese. SURPRISE! It's a good idea, but could be executed better. The hush puppies were okay too. They looked like stubby fingers. But, again, I digress. This is terrible! First off, my son asked for lettuce and onion on his burger...this is what we got (see pictures attached). While there is an entire slice of onion, there is but one meager piece of lettuce! I had to take off over 90% of the onion in order for the food to become edible. This is how much I had to take off for him (see pictures attached). Second of all, the "no ice lemonade" was extremely watered down. This is the closest cookout to my house. I haven't really gotten to try one in a different city, unfortunately. I've been in this area for five years or more now and the few times we've eaten here has always been kind of hit or miss, most of the time at least one thing or two is wrong. It seems to be the norm for fast food now? Either we brush it off, shrug it off and deal with it because it's still a good 15 to 20 minutes away from us. I can deal with sometimes having to wipe Mayo and tomato off of a sandwich that wasn't suppose to be on there, etc. tonight for the first time, ordered cheese fries with one of the trays. That come with 2 plain hot dogs and the other side, hush puppies.. there is no excuse for this... you can put a plain hot dog in a little container, instead of cheese fries....? And then put the bag of hush puppies right on top of the cheese fries and then they're completely ruined. Just........ why!?!?! Not to mention had eaten here a couple days prior and had gotten double cheese burger with fries and hush puppies and the hush puppies didn't come in a bag then but did when I ordered cheese fries. Food was great. I'm not from Nashville and this was one of only a few places that were open at 3am beside the usual I.e. Taco Bell or McDonald's so we choose cookout.
