This Zaxbys is located on Gallatin Pike in Madison directly in front of/next to Walmart. Depending on the day really depends on the experience you have here. We hit this location up on occasion and I have never truly had the same experience twice. Service is hit and miss, but I have found better service through the drive thru than dine-in. Service has never been terrible, but it is always mediocre at best. Food wise, chicken tenders and wings are always solid and as expected, however the fries are either on point or gross and soggy. We usually make the request for extra seasoning on our fries and it is honored about 50% of the time. Location is clean and well kept. Overall, standard Zaxbys location that lacks consistency in service and food quality. We enjoy Zaxbys so we take the risk on occasion. read more

I would rate a zero if I could. The drive through process is terrible! They had people order then pull over and park and then send a worker out going from car to car to give them food. We ended up waiting 20mins. It's as if they think they are not a regular fast food restaurant and can just take as many orders as possible and make people wait. Will not be back. read more

The Chicken was fantastic, but the service was better. The young lady at the counter assisted us as the menu is pretty large, her suggestions were spot on. My family and I ordered food online tonight for pick up. We had a simple order and it was correct, but I was just not very impressed with the food. Don't get me wrong, Zaxby's in general is delicious and I love that chicken with their Zax sauce! But this particular meal at this particular restaurant? Nah. The fries were sparse to begin with in the box (I should have taken a picture) but that's ok because I only ate 3... most of the fries were not cooked through all the way and were just not good. The chicken was good and the sauce was good. The cole slaw had a weird sour smell when I first opened the container. The Texas toast was unimpressive. This really is sadly just a 1 star location. We used to come here all the time before the pandemic and it was always fast, delicious and hearty portions. All of that has changed dramatically lately and we just had our very last experience here tonight. We waited 48 minutes in the drive-through line and realized once we got to the speaker why it was moving at a glacial pace. The girl at the speaker couldn't get our order right to save her life. We had to repeat and correct her 5 times before she finalized our order. Not surprisingly, people ahead of us were handing their food bags back through the window because their orders were incorrect. Or order was correct...almost (missing the extra piece of toast we ordered). When we opened our food, we couldn't believe how much our portions have shrunk. Chicken tenders went from plump to tiny, kid sized fingers and what used to be large chunks of chick on my salad have now turned to almost non-existent slivers of chicken (pic below). We came to the restaurant toward the end of the night, and there was a sign on the speaker that said it didn't work, and we needed to pull to the window. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, the car in front gets their order, we pull up to the window and they tell us that they're closed and they won't serve us. The worker was rude and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. They definitely need some training on customer service along with repairing their speaker and putting out a cone when closing. read more

The most disappointing Zaxby's experience I have ever had. This location was clearly short staffed, however that's just the beginning of the problem. From the get go, they got my order wrong. When I looked and the receipt and corrected them, the lady working the window gave me attitude. They didn't make an effort to fix their mistake, and then tried to charge me extra for the sauce that I had already ordered and paid for. I spent 45 mins at a Zaxby's with only an hour lunch without any food. I arrived and ordered the 3 chicken nibblerz combo and didn't receive a receipt from Frankie. Also, I'm aware that Covid is still a thing, but please do not put any of the sauces in my bag with the hand you are wearing a blue glove after you've been touching computers and cash money. I received the order and drove off and noticed that the bread was stiff. I turned it over and the buns were extremely burnt (overly toasted). I waited in traffic to return and asked to speak with the manager (Melissa Bickerman), I requested a refund and showed her the EXTREMELY BURNT buns. She offered to make me something else after wasted time and the food was terrible. I refused her offer. I waited even longer bc she couldn't get a receipt printed for me. She finally had the older gentleman up front print one, and the amount was incorrect on the receipt. I told the man this. I said $8.29+.25 doesn't equal $9.31. Something isn't MATHING!!!!!! The drive-thru lady was the MOST RUDE person I've encountered and had no reason to rush anyone. Our order was very simple, yet she continued to speak in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. Disappointing in all facets - can't believe this is the same place that others rated 4 or more stars in the last six months. Floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, all tables were oily and/or littered with chicken breading. Kids high chairs might be from 1984 or at least haven't been wiped down since then. Don't even look under the tables. As for the food, the sandwich was light on the sauce & cheese while the fries were nothing special. Chicken tenders aren't anything special in terms of flavor or meat quality, either. Sad to say but if you can defrost grocery store brand crinkle fries and chicken, then I'd recommend doing that. Not sure how this firm could exist in the future given the low prices for equal or better fried birds at burger chains and at BWW, let alone the consistent splendor of a certain Fil-A restaurant down the street. Not sure the service could be any worse. Went through the drive-thru - they gave us the wrong drinks (they told us before we noticed). We asked if they were the right drinks, they said no, but just keep 'em. We said no, just give us the correct ones, we don't want these and don't have enough drink holders.
