I went to Cook Out for the first time today. I've been a long time fan of Five Guys and gourmet burger restaurants like Grindhouse Killer and Farmburger in Atlanta. I must say that the burger at Cook Out is on par with those premium burger restaurants. I tried the cajun seasoned fries and onion rings and found that the fries were mediocre. I eat here when I don't care about spending much. It's almost good. It's cheap and tasty but not very cool on the portion size. Kind of expect more than 3 onion rings and 5 pieces of okra even though it's cheap. Food is tasty but I feel cheated. They also only have packets of condiments inside. GO TO ANOTHER COOKOUT! This place is terribly slow and has bad customer service. Me and 2 others waited 30 plus minutes for a single shake! We watched as 20 other orders were placed and given out before one person even got their shake. We each went up to the counter twice, and each time promised that they didn't forget about our shakes. After the long wait, I finally got shake and left only to taste it and find out it was the wrong shake! I very angrily went back inside and asked that they fix it. Food was good, not as pricey as applebees' burger entrees. Fresh off the grill orders, no pre cooked crap. Took about 10 minutes for food when we dined in. Had the nice smokey charcoal flavor to the burgers. Wife and I were impressed, better than fast food and other chain restaurants. read more

I have always loved cook out! One of my favorite places to dine. Prices are incredible for the quality of food. Today I'm writing this review to give a humongous shoutout to Elane for saving my life basically. I left my pocketbook in the booth after dining with friends. Upon leaving I noticed I didn't have my purse so I called the restaurant and Elane retrieved my pocketbook for me. Thank you so much to all the cookout staff. Elane you are great! Decent, you get what you pay for basically. Frozen patties and frozen fries. Shakes are good! If I'm going to eat a burger I'd rather go to Five Guys and spend a little bit of more money for fresh food! read more

I love cook out and decide while out shopping to go here. I order what I order at every cook out ( spicy chicken sandwich plain and double up on chicken quesadillas). When my order came out my sandwich was not plain and I only got one quesadilla I proceeded to goto the register and complain. If you go to any cookout in Augusta out of the three, this one is a must. Everything they make has always been better than the other two. The employees are all really nice and I've never had to wait too long to get my food. The burgers and so yummy and the fries always cooked to perfection.
