This is such a complicated review to write. We are extremely pleased with the end result, and the installers were great. However. What was communicated to us by the scheduler and how the process really went were miles apart. It seems like she didn't talk to the installers or know the steps involved in our project. When setting up the job, I explained to her that we would be living and working in the house during the install and that we have three cats. I specifically asked if they could roam the house at night after the guys left and she said yes. Nope. Our job involved: Sealing the floor -- we weren't told this would this happen at all by the scheduler - and it left a strong epoxy smell and the floors extremely STICKY. The poor installers had to do this sealing process piecemeal to allow us complete access to the kitchen, bedrooms, and a bathroom -- by us walking spread-legged down a hall, or in a tight line down the middle, or climbing over a moved couch. And the cats? No way could they be out. So during the day we moved their food, water, and litterbox and herded them into the master bedroom. And during the night we had to herd them into a small bedroom and shut the door. Yeah. We herded cats. We did this four days. And one cat is already anxious by nature. And one day the epoxy wasn't mixed properly and didn't set and had to be redone in an area -- adding a day. The installer re-mixed it outside and when he left there were stains all over our walkway -- that are still there. Leveling: This took over three days and involved quick set concrete that required five hours to set. We still had to keep the cats isolated.. another two days. The bedroom carpet in the master is soft and perfect. Different installers - just great - and in and out in three hours. The crew were all wonderful. And really tried to figure it out and work around us. I think they thought the house was going to be vacant during the job. The end result is gorgeous and we love the floor. But the communication about the actual process definitely needs improvement. read more

This a case of bait and switch. I purchased carpet and HW flooring from contract flooring. Carpet I received was a different grade with lots of track marks. The sample was completely different much tighter weave and strong. The sales lady who is the owner said they would replace it but the carpet mill rep denied the claim. The sales lady agreed the carpet was incorrect but still no replacement. After shampooing still lots of foot track marks cheap carpet. I will not shop there again. Very bad experience. Prices are much higher than other places...it's a mom and pop store. If I had received what I ordered it would be a different story. Maintaining good customer service in any business increases its survival rate. Good luck! read more

Nick performed a carpet installation for us a few years ago and as carpets sometimes do, a seam began to show. Upon contacting contract carpet, Nick explained that their warranty covers it and asked that I make an appointment the next day when the office opens. Nick called me the next day on his own volition to see if I had an appointment scheduled. He went out of his way to ensure that I had gotten my issue resolved and proactively called me as a follow up. That type of service you don't get from other carpet folks, or even businesses in general for that matter. We used Contract Carpet for two homes in Sept 2021 and couldn't be happier with the result and the process. We worked with Nick to select the right carpet for each home (our primary and our rental) and they were experts on the right types (Nylon vs Poly) as well as price points and styles that would go best for our renters and our cat. While we didn't get our first choices due to the COVID supply chain issues, we love our final choices that got installed. It was a pleasure working with Nayely to schedule everything and coordinate install dates (they did us a huge favor working to make our renter's move in schedule) and we even had the pleasure of meeting Nick's mother on occasion at the store. Total experts and high class service, end to end! The installer team led by Adam were fantastic. We can barely see any seams on our patterned loop (berber) carpet which is amazing. All in all we had 4000+ sqft of carpet replaced by their team. If you need a team you can trust, this is the place to go! We only wish we would have used them for our bathroom tile as well. They are very competitive on price but more than anything they are dependable, reliable, and fair. Is there any way to give this team six stars? They really deserve it. Recently we had a water leak in our room where we had put laminate down. The original flooring people did not help us, and we thought that we would have to replace the floor for a hefty sum. My wife contacted Contract Carpet and they went the extra mile - they actually called Belgium to where the laminate is now distributed as the company withdrew from the US market.
