GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH POWAY CARPET!! Family-owned, very responsive, all-inclusive pricing (no nickel-and-diming), moved everything (including my pool table), and cleaned before and after installation. read more

We had 4 different companies give us a quote for carpet. We also had hopes to get our stairs changed from carpet to hardwood but knew it would be a slim chance due to costs. Not only did Poway Carpets have the best quote, they were the only ones that took the time to explain the process and offer ideas that helped us achieve our goals without compromising quality. We ended up with new carpet, hardwood stairs and all new baseboards! They did a fantastic job, the team always cleaned up after themselves, and they were able to safety move our furniture around without any issues. If you're looking for flooring, you should definitely give them a call! read more

Great experience from start to finish! Professional, helpful. Even dropped off samples without asking when I was unable to stop by. The craftsmanship was outstanding. Would certainly recommend to a friend! read more

Working with Poway Carpets was an exceptional experience from helping us in the selection of our carpet, taking samples home to see how they look, to the outstanding installation of the beautiful carpet. We were extremely happy with their work and their price was significantly less than other quotes. A very good value. We would recommend them and use them in the future. read more

Thanks Tom, for helping making our home feel new again. Great service, great pricing, great install. Highly recommend.

After our escrow was canceled Tom the owner was kind enough to give us our deposit back even after the carpet was ordered when he didn't have to. This is a standup guy and a standup company. The product is great too. We will be referring all our family and friends here. read more

Tom the owner made my carpet selection fast and painless. He know his product and charges reasonable prices. He stored the new carpet until I was ready for install. Flabio his installer is terrific. He and his crew pay attention to the details while installing the carpet and inspect the entire area before leaving. I also had Flabio install new baseboards throughout my house. The crew arrives on time and clean up their work area. I highly recommend Poway Carpets and Flabio. read more

We needed to have new carpeting installed in 4 bedrooms. We went to several places and found poor quality products and customer service non existent. After going on line we found Poway Carpets. We visited with the owner, Tom Arnold in his great looking store. Tom educated us about carpet and padding. After we placed an order, we found that his pricing for the carpet, padding and labor were still less than other competitors. His installer, Favio did a beautiful job installing the carpet. I was concerned about my freshly painted rooms possibly being scuffed or damaged. This guy is a total professional and no damage. After 6 hours, a beautiful job. Poway Carpets exceeded my expectations throughout the whole process. Thank You Tom and Favio read more

Excellent service, no gimmick all-in pricing, and Tom is all about customer service. His installers were very neat and professional. Skip the box box stores and shop locally. read more

When I decided to recarpet my home, I checked the yelp reviews. After comparing prices, I chose Poway Carpets. Based on meeting the owner, Tom, being shown many selections and feeling like I was a valued customer, the decision was easy! I am so thrilled with the result, I had to comment. The professionalism and quality of work are definitely 5 star! The installers, who were prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and kind did a superb job. Pride of workmanship, integrity and value is why that store has been there for over 30 years! Thanks Tom! read more

Back in 2014, we had a positive experience at Poway Carpets. The owner, Tom Arnold, was a pleasure to do business with, and we were very pleased with our new carpets. Recently, I stopped in to ask Tom about a stain that I was unable to remove from our carpet. Tom said our carpeting should be covered by a stain warranty, and he immediately started the process to see if anything could be done. We were so pleased to learn that our carpet would be replaced. Tom's excellent installers, led by Flavio, completed our new carpet installation, and we couldn't be happier. Tom is a true gentleman and I highly recommend Poway Carpets for your carpeting needs. read more

Excellent service from sales to installation. Completed installation ahead of schedule in spite of rain, which made it more difficult for them to cut the carpet. read more

Most business I walk into I don't expect to see a sales rep. for 5 to 10 minutes and I hardly ever get to meet the owner. But this place prides itself on personnel device and customer care. Within the first minute I was greeted buy the owner himself (see photo). very nice guy; he knew every thing about flooring types and applications. It great to know we have the local who cares about you and your personnel preferences. read more

I found Poway Carpets on Yelp and recently went in to get a quote for some carpeting. I had been to a few places prior to compare so kind of knew what I was doing. Met the owner himself Tom who is one of the nicest most genuine guys you'll ever meet. Not only is his store immaculate but he is a sharp dressed man with great style which is so great to see! He was not the cheapest bid I received however his quality of product as well as service stood out big time ! You will always get what you pay for and with Tom you are going to get the best! In fact, he refuses to even carry the lower quality carpeting and flooring because he knows it's just not going to last. His number one priority is making sure his customers are not only happy but that they're happy for a very long time. Now that's integrity folks!! There's a reason that about 20 other carpet/flooring stores have come and gone in the area and Tom's Poway Carpets is still going strong!! Thanks for running a top notch business my man! read more

Awesome, awesome, awesome! If you need new carpeting, look no further than Tom Arnold's Poway Carpets! He hits it perfectly on pricing, customer service and installation. Pricing - the total price of the carpet, pad, moving furniture, installation is calculated into square yard at the time you buy. No hidden added costs later, it's all there. Tom came in under HALF of what Cole's QUOTED and Tom's price was the total price we paid, not a penny more and we didn't skimp on the carpet or padding, in fact, we went up for the best and I've no doubt Coles or Home Depot could have come close. Customer Service - I went to Tom's store and told him what I had been looking at and what I wanted and he showed me plenty of wonderful choices. He came to Univ City to bring the samples I had seen in the store and to measure after he closed on a Saturday - I don't know many people who would leave work to drive 30 mins to measure for an estimate - there was no guarantee, no pressure and no need to put down a $50 deposit to bring over a sample. Nope, the owner personally came and delivered the samples and measured our place. We knew we weren't going to give the business to anyone else after that! Installation - someone who takes pride in his overall service only looks to find the best installers - and they are AMAZING! Steve led our installation and we are a condo up several flight of stairs. Steve and his apprentice were very easy to talk to, very friendly and always smiling and answering our questions. They came in, took the lay of the land, and immediately started moving furniture out into different rooms. Within 30 minutes of them arriving ON TIME, the carpet was completely removed in half the condo. These two were the two most hardworking gentlemen I've seen in a LONG time! There was no stress in our installation, it was a fantastic experience and we had our whole house put back together within 6 hours (and they moved everything back, asked if they could help with anything else and were just wonderful!) All in all you just can't beat what Tom Arnold can do for you and your flooring needs at Poway Carpets! He came as a recommendation from a good friend at work ( who also raved about his overall experience) and I'm thrilled I asked! Thank you Tom and Steve! We will never look anywhere else! read more

The owner, Tom Arnold was great! He made me feel it was more important to make me happy then for him to make the sale. I'm sure that was not totally true, but that's how I felt . His installers are perfectionists! The tile looks great!! read more

This guy is a really nice guy and yes, you do meet the guy in the ads! We walked in and he spent at least 15 minutes explaining about carpeting and carpet pads. Very low pressure and there was plenty of carpet to look at. I especially appreciated their straightforward pricing scheme, all prices include pad and installation! I took a star off because they only sell Shaw carpets because they have a deal with them and are obviously very biased in favor of that brand. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Shaw makes some great carpets but do your own homework. Nearly everyone has told us that their carpet has the best warranty and that their padding is the best, but that said, shopping at Poway Carpet was a nice experience. read more

We've purchased new carpeting twice in the past couple of years (once in our previous home in Penasquitos and once in our new home in Poway). We did a lot of comparison shopping the first time and decided on Poway Carpets. The owner, Tom Arnold, was great to work with, the price was fair, and the installers were excellent. The second time we went directly to Tom and were just as pleased with the results. I would definitely check them out! read more

Tom's both very knowledgeable and a straight shooter. Professional, honest and all around good guy. His installation crews are exceptionally good. Just try to find the seam - Hint, you can't, because it's so well done. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I think everyone shopping around for flooring deserves the same great experience I received from Poway Carpets. My husband and I recently purchased a condo in Serra Mesa and did not have a lot of money to do the necessary fixes. We did a lot of searching to figure out the best way to make our pennies stretch. At first, we decided to look into Home Depot, but we backed out at the last moment because, even though the company advertises good deals, a lot of additional costs ended up being added to their overall estimate. I did some more homework on the internet and came across Tom (the owners') video ad. I got good vibes so my husband and I paid a visit. I'm so grateful we did. Not only did the price stay true to the original estimate, but the customer service was amazing! The installers, as well as the owner were friendly, courteous, and efficient. My only regret is not visiting Poway Carpets sooner. I highly, highly recommend this to all the San Diegans in search of flooring, it's worth the drive. read more
