We used Continental Van Lines to move our stuff from Palmer, Alaska. Shane and Danny were awesome. They were really friendly to us and the kids. Got our whole house packed up and taken away in 2 days. I have no complaints about these guys. Really professional, were always here when they said they would be, didn't damage anything, worked really diligently, didn't lolly gag and take lots of breaks. AVOID THIS COMPANY Let me start off by saying this company is unprofessional and ran very poorly. First of all, their employees have absolutely no respect for people's possessions, are constantly tossing fragile marked boxes, and have a total lack of courteousness. One of the crew members was very unbecoming, rude, and didn't place items as directed. He was constantly complaining about our items and how much he wanted to quit his job. At one point, he was swearing at our items in front of my wife. On several occasions, we saw him rough-handling our items marked fragile and had to tell him to be careful. He even made a snide comment that we should have helped him move our boxes and king mattress into the house! While unloading our items we had to constantly chase after them to get the numbers off boxes for our checklist. It was an unorganized, chaotic mess. Also, we had designated one room to be a den and another to be a fitness room. I told both several times which room was to be which. Without trying to put the furniture where we wanted, they insisted the furniture wouldn't fit into the designated rooms and reversed our configuration. FYI, the furniture fit just fine the way we wanted it; my wife and I later moved all the furniture and equipment back to the original rooms to include 2 couches, an entertainment center, a 220+ lb. treadmill, and several boxes. By the end of the job, they were just placing boxes as near to the entry as possible without regard to room labeling. We found our master bedroom linens box (marked as such) out in the garage! The office staff is another issue in itself. When I made a debris pickup appointment I was told an entire days timeframe (8-5) that they could show up, but I would be called in advance. When 3 pm came around I had not heard anything and called to verify I was still on the books. I was told yes and they should be there any time. Then 5 pm came and went with no crew so I called a second time. I was told they were on their way, with no advance phone call like I was told. It was 5:45 pm before anyone even showed up. I waited an entire day for nothing and no apologies. I could go on with more unacceptable attitude, but the bottom line is do not use this company. read more

On the phone they were very professional. But the guys who came out were total slackers. They spend hours and hours packing a load that had previously been packed much more quickly. It seemed that they randomly through things from every room in every box. They threw my good clothes, hanging stuff into the bottoms of several boxes and they totally filled the dresser. The lift on the truck they brought was broken. On an 18-block move "we got lost." They dropped dresser that had filled totally destroying it and lost several other items (god knows how). When I sent in a claim the response of continental was that it didn't meet the deductible. I think their motto is you can screw up to the level of the deductible. read more

The WORST crew EVER and that's only superseded by the WORST front office EVER. The manager Leslie was NOT honest with us about a whole host of things and they sent out some man child to do the survey, Bob or Rob or whatever his name is, was off on his estimate by 5,000 pounds! The crew was completely unprofessional eating and drinking our food without asking and just were plain LAZY. A job that should have taken 2 or 3 days was stretched out to FOUR. I will NEVER use this moving company again. If I could give them a zero I would. read more
