We used U-Pack to move our family from Anchorage, Alaska to Eugene, Oregon. We were trying to find an economical way to make a very expensive move reasonable. After researching our options, we decided the U-Pack was the way to go, and I'm really glad we did. Customer service was incredible, everyone was so friendly and helpful, answering my questions patiently. Goods arrived in great condition, and the only things that were damaged were because we didn't pack them carefully enough. We can definitely tell that some jostling happened, but that's to be expected. They came in under budget, which seems like it almost never happens. I have nothing but great things to say about them. They dropped off the container when they said they would, and picked it up promptly when we were finished. They found a creative way to park the container safely in our driveway in Anchorage despite the 100 inches of snow that has fallen this year. Our things arrived within the promised timeframe, and in fact they arrived early. Overall, our move was a real hassle, but it had nothing to do with U-Pack and everything to do with the fact that we are three pack rats who lived in Alaska for 25 years and collected far too much stuff. read more

Final invoice was about $900 more than I was quoted. However, I went ahead due to time constraints. I was able to reschedule pickup dates and easily scheduled delivery date; the u-pack pod was picked up during the day requested and removed without me being present. I moved from AK to CO. My experience in CO was outstanding. In AK. The trailer was supposed to be delivered between 9am-12pm. I had called in the morning to confirm as I had people taking off work to help me load. The trailer finally arrived around 1:30pm. I asked the driver if there was a lock for it. He said there was only one available and that was at the dispatch station. I asked him about my stuff. What if it gets stolen? My house was for sale with a sign out front as well as now a trailer with my stuff in it...he said I would have to talk to management. They said it wouldn't arrive until between the 25th and 27th. It arrived in CO on the 17th...OUTSTANDING!!!! The gentleman that dropped the trailer here in CO was wonderful. He parked where I asked him to. I asked to him to please help me take down the wall and he was more than happy to. He also helped me set up the ramp. I honestly wish I had cash on me at that point, I would have tipped him he was so wonderful. read more

I call U-Pack for quote in July for an August move. The agent explained the process which was, a container would be parked in my driveway. I picked the start date. I would have up to three day to load it. I could use increment of three feet of space from 15 up and I would pay for that. I used 18 feet. The driver picked up the container the next morning after I loaded it. I received the shipment in Phoenix two and one half weeks later. Keep in mind the container is on the water from Anchorage to Tacoma for seven days. The charge was exactly what was represented. A driver delivered the trailer to my location and was very helpful in spotting it correctly after consultation. After I unloaded the trailer the next morning I called f9r the trailer to be picked up. It was the following morning. I received my household good with everything in order. I had a lot of art, dishes, furniture, etc. Nothing was broken. Everything worked. My option was a U-Haul through Canada. The price was about the same and I would have had a seven day drive. This way, with a couple strong college kids I loaded in three hours and unloaded in three hours. I am one satisfied customer. read more

U-Pack was the cheapest option I found when I was researching options for a move from Alaska to NY. I was wary at first but the company went above and beyond to help me. For context, there were some hiccups and delays that were completely out of their control but they worked with me to figure out options, didn't raise the price, and were very friendly and understanding throughout it all which helped decrease my stress. The estimated time of pickup and arrival was accurate as well. As far as I know, thanks to the tips from one of the delivery people, none of my stuff arrived broken. Very good experience overall. There was a very complete outline of what I should expect regarding drop-off of the container for loading, and delivery at the destination. It included informing me that I needed to provide locks for the container (ReloCube). There was a little bit of disconnect between U-Pack and the local transport company (Lynden) regarding timing. Apparently Lynden was somewhat short-handed, and the containers did not arrive at my house until 10:30 p.m. on the scheduled day. However, the driver was very helpful in positioning the cubes, and he was working in the rain. Pickup was done in a timely manner, but the information took about three days to be relayed to U-Pack, giving me a little anxiety over the possibility of being charged for two containers instead of the single container I used. When the information was relayed, my reservation quote was adjusted to reflect the correct cost for one container. Once that was cleared up, the process was very smooth. I called to confirm the delivery date, and received a call about one hour prior to delivery. Placement was done very professionally, and according to my preferences. My only concern was that when the container was delivered in AZ, one of the locks I had placed on the container (worth about $30) had been cut, and a thin aluminum seal placed alongside it. This was on the door that opened first, so it allowed access to the inside of the container. I never received any explanation as to why the lock was cut, or by whom. Despite that, the contents were all there, and items were in good condition. Any shifting seemed to be minimal. The container was picked up the day after I called to report that it was empty. I would like to have had more options to comment on the service when I filled out the post-transport survey. If not for those two small items, I would have given 5 stars. read more

I moved from AK to the lower 48. I'd received three quotes from moving companies before looking into UPack. I'd kept hearing about "pods" and learned that it was UPack in AK. Decided to look into it and was glad I did. It saved me about half what I might have paid to any of the moving companies. UPack was great to work with. They provided a step by step of the process after I booked them which helped me know what to expect. Overall, I was impressed at the process and happy with the savings and how everything turned out. At origin, the trailer arrived as scheduled. At destination, it arrived at the terminal early. The terminal people were very good about holding it for a few days while I was still enroute. Then the trailer was trucked to the destination just as coordinated. The ramp was not in the trailer when it arrived at destination which meant I had to hire a third unloader, but Blake at UPack credited me for that. Very pleased with how things turned out. read more

My company had to keep a van in storage for a couple of years when we had stopped doing business in Anchorage. After awhile we decided that it would be too much of a hassle to bring the van back to Utah and just wanted to be done with it. The crew over at Tudor Storage were awesome! They took the time to sell the van for us and their were quite a few hiccups along the way...but all we got was friendly service and great communication every step of the way. They made sure to call and if they couldn't get a hold of me they would send me a detailed email of what was currently happening in the process. This was a wonderful company to work with. If we ever need to store anything in Anchorage, AK again they will be the first place we go too. read more
