I had plenty of things that needed moving including some heavy and awkward items but Alex and Andrey did an amazing job making it as seamless as possible. They wrapped everything nicely and made sure nothing was damaged. They were super nice and clean cut/good looking guys, friendly and helpful. The whole process was easy start to finish. The minimum is 3 hours while most companies I called had a 4 hour minimum, and the cost was way more competitive than the other companies as well. the window was 9-10am and they showed up promptly at 9am. Hopefully I won't need to move anytime soon but if I do I'll definitely use them again.

My former and current landlords BOTH forgot to tell me that I needed a permit to park a moving truck. Then they BOTH forgot to tell me other tenants from each building were also moving out. The move took longer than it should have because the elevator had to be shared with other movers lugging stuff. Moving Checklist: These are mostly things no one told I had to prepare for so here you go. You're welcome. -Parking Permits: Most big cities required it now. Depending on what permit type you need, you might be given special "No Parking" signs with the day and time of your move for you to post on the street. Do it, because moving truck parking tickets are paid by the people moving, not the moving company. I moved from Mid-Wilshire area to Pasadena -Check with your landlord to be sure no one else is moving on the same day as you. If someone else is moving that day, be sure you coordinate so as to not slow each other down with the elevator. -No trucks are allowed on the 110 North...I didn't know this and called my movers ahead of time so they could re-route. The gentlemen who delivered my fridge told me tickets for violations are upwards of $1,000. -Don't buy boxes. Check Craigslist, grocery stores or other businesses for free boxes. I packed a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and last year I moved a whole medical practice and didn't buy a single box.

Pity too, we wanted to hire these folks. On Wednesday, a very nice gentleman named Ben came to the house. He was a no nonsense, get to work kind of guy. Quickly assessed all of our possessions and came back with a very reasonable estimate. After we received our final bid on Thursday, we called Ben back, the next morning. He had the day off and will be back on Sunday. Sounded odd. But what do we know about the moving business? We had the woman set our packing date for 11 days later on 8/22, while we waited for Ben to get back to us with more details. Long story short, no return call Sunday or Monday. My wife finally called Ben the next night and he told her that he and I had spoke and set everything up for the 22nd. But he and I never spoke. He's yet to call either of us. I'm not sure why he'd blatantly lie like that but if he isn't honest on a simple call to confirm he'd won the contract, seems to me nothing he said could be trusted. Low price is important. But these are our lifetime memories. Being able to trust the folks moving them is far more important. Here's another thought. They drive the load through Canada. Not the using the barge. He sub out another moving company from Anchorage they showed up at 2. They thought they were going to just move. I showed them my contract of white glove packing and unpacking and they had no idea. So that companies out money too because we told them to go home! My son told me that 5 stars on Yelp doesn't mean anything. Companies can pay for good reviews!! Be very careful of Yelp. It left with a broken cabinet and broken drawer. We filed a claim but they denied it saying "it was an old desk." What does that have to do with the fact that it was in great condition before and they damaged it during the move? If you have an old Porsche or Cadillac that you've been keeping in a week maintained state and someone drives it into a tree is it acceptable for them to say they don't think they should help fix it because it was old? This company didn't do the right thing by their customers.

We had to reschedule due to our closing being pushed back with a holiday. They were super friendly and got us a different date without any issue or "fee". My only complaint is you pay by the hour, and the two guys we had took a few water breaks (obviously no one is a robot) but they also sat down to eat sandwiches and billed us for all that time. All in all I think we paid for 30 minutes of them having a snack break. Other than that I was very pleased. I would recommend.

Updating my review to a 2-star because as I unpack I'm realizing I have a LOT of broken items…read moreincluding bookshelves, a dining table which was somehow ripped in half (the top ripped off the base in such a way that it can't be put back together), and stuff from my clearly marked "Fragile" boxes which were put upside down/sideways/squished. They were friendly, fast, and very strong, but maybe TOO fast and TOO strong. These movers would be great if you just have boxed items, but I'm not too sure I'd trust them with anything fragile again.
