Lychee martini

Only had time for a drink before grabbing dinner close by. It was our first time here and we thought it was such a cool place. Loved the bar area. The cocktail and drink menu was enormous with so many fun choices. I tried the lychee martini which was delicious!!! The place was packed and folks were waiting for our seats as soon as we left. We will definitely be back to try some more cocktails.

It's been 4 years since I last reviewed Conspiracy, so we are due for an updated 5 star review because I love them and they deserve it. I've been many times since my last review, and each time I swear I love it more than the last. It's my typical girls night hang out spot with one of my besties, and we have so much fun just sitting at our spot at the bar, and just yapping. The bartenders are super nice and knowledgeable, and even though the last few times I've gone I haven't gotten any food, I can confirm you should, because it's super flavorful and tasty. One of the best hidden gems of Middletown. And I say hidden because I literally walk right past it every darn time.

First time coming here here with some friends, pretty slow for a Sunday night. Very dark vibes, like Edgar Allen Poe We started off with Sex on the Beach and a Black Raspberry cider. Both were good. The SOTB had a unique taste that I've never had in this drink before. We also got soft pretzels, a charcuterie board with three cheeses, two meats and crackers with grapes, honey drizzled pistachios, and a cranberry jam. The cheeseburger sliders were great! Everything was good and tasty.

This is a really cute bar in the area. We love finding these kind of bars with a cute and classy vibe to them. They are definitely our preference at this stage of our lives hehe. It is a bit small so seating is limited. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed our cocktails. I would go back for sure.

Looking for a great drink spot, here it is. They have a great food, but the set-up is a little tough for apps & drinks since (other than the bar) it's small & low tables with cozy chairs. If the bar is busy, service might be a little delayed but very much worth it!

Waffle donut sando with chicken

When I read the website for this place I was very excited to try it out. Craft cocktails, a kitchen open until one hour before last call, but most importantly a self proclaimed dedication to quality ingredients. The place itself is kept very clean, no sticky floors like other bars, but the area we were seated was very dark to the point I needed my phone to read the drink menu. Usually a dark intimate setting like that would have candles or something but they didn't have any. The bar area though is more illuminated. The menu is very creative so i knew I had to try at least two cocktails. The first one was the midori sour, which i was a little hesitant because some of the ingredients were curry leaf syrup and ginger liquor which i was very worried would overpower the drink but overall it was very pleasant and a fun presentation. I was worried the entire time that the box would leak but it never did so they clearly know what they're doing. The second drink though was the pistachio martini mudslide and while the flavor was good and the glass was cool they filled it to the top with ice cubes despite literally writing on the menu that it was blended. The ice cubes in my opinion ruined the drink experience, and thats coming from someone who loves ice. For food the waffle donut sando was delicious!! The mochi waffle donuts mixed with the mango habanero hot sauce and the perfectly cooked chicken was the perfect balance of sweet spicy and savory. The chocolate raspberry tart on the other hand was pulled straight from the freezer i think because it was really hard to cut and bite into, especially the bottom cookie crust layer. The flavor was good but then again chocolate raspberry is usually a good flavor. Overall a very unique experience that I would definetly come back for. Tldr: recommendations would be stay at the bar area for light, order drinks that you want ice in because you're gonna get it, and stick to hot food because the waffles are amazing.

Nothing like a good speakeasy - and this place is great. Nice dark atmosphere, friendly bar tenders, surprisingly good food, and of course lots of creative cocktails. Great place to pop in after dinner in the area or to go with a group of friends to hang out. I've only been there late (bonus! one of the only places that stays open after 10pm in the area) but we never had a problem finding seats - even tho they maintain a steady flow of customers. With so many hard hitting cocktails I'm sure we'll be back to check them out again soon.

Pistachio mudslide and I don't remember what was in the take out box but it was SO good!

Tried the new menu for the new year- exactly as the menu said, trashy classics made fancy and delicious! The pistachio was our favorite the kimchi nachos were so tasty. It felt very "speakeasy" with the decor and lighting. The bartenders were very helpful making suggestions and perfect beverages

The restaurant has a cozy, peaceful atmosphere that immediately makes you feel comfortable. Around lunchtime there were only a couple of tables occupied, so it was quiet enough to relax and actually enjoy a conversation. The lighting was a little dim, which added to the cozy vibe. The woman helping us was incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service from the moment we walked in. I ordered chicken soup dumplings, chicken broth ramen, Vietnamese beef pho, a passion fruit green tea with bubbles, and a coconut bubble milk tea. Everything was delicious, and honestly, I would order every single item again. The chicken soup dumplings were my favorite surprise. They were incredibly juicy. On my first bite, some of the broth squirted right out because I wasn't expecting that much flavor packed inside. Paired with the soy sauce and chili sauce, they were absolutely amazing. The chicken broth ramen was rich, comforting, and full of authentic flavor. It was so good that I ordered another bowl to take home for later. The Vietnamese beef pho was equally satisfying, with a flavorful broth that tasted like it had been simmering for hours. Both bubble teas were well-balanced and not overly sweet. The passion fruit green tea was especially refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. The portions were generous, the flavors tasted authentic, and the overall experience reminded me why supporting local restaurants is so much better than grabbing fast food. You can taste the difference in the quality and care that goes into the food. I already know I'll be back. Next time, I have my eye on the steamed buns. If you're looking for a cozy lunch spot, a comforting bowl of ramen, or simply a quiet place to enjoy a great meal, Fujiya Ramen is definitely worth a visit.

To make matters worse, the food was awful. I ordered the "tomato beef noodle soup," and it was a complete disaster. It's basically a bizarre and unappealing combination of a weak tomato-based soup topped with sweet, fatty beef straight off a Japanese gyudon (beef bowl). The flavors clashed horribly. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

Great service, great ramen, overall great experience…read more Attempted to come to this place a few times before. Eash time, there was a significant wait so we tried someplace else. This time, we made a small trek during a slow time and managed to get quick seating. Inside is nice but a small location, about 20 tables and even with the off time most of them were filled. We sat and immediately were brought waters and dishes. The team is designed to be a brigade, with everyone participating in the service. This led to very quick service and easy access to a server. We got two ramens and a dumplings to share. The food took a couple minutes but we quickly had dumplings and soup and we took our pics and dug in. The dumplings were freshly made, loose but flavorful filling with a pool of sauce on the bottom for dipping. The wrapper was delightfully thin and the garnishes added little pops of texture and flavor which changed the flavor profile of the filling. Those were very good dumplings I got a truffle shoyu ramen. The noodles were freshly made, springy and a little chewy but a great sauce vessel. the toppings were plentiful, the shoyu pork wasn't the most tender but the pieces were nicely charred and sauces to be distinct in the dish. The broth started off as straight seafood broth, lots of briny umami but little depth. Once I mixed the truffle scoop in, the flavor really bloomed. Now the broth had an earthy, mellow base note which made the broth a surf and turf umami bomb. It was very tasty, and the best ramen I've had in ct. Price is not bad, $55 for two bowls, add on wontons for the missus's soup and the appetizer. For the quality, the price is really good for what you get. It's easy to understand why this place is as busy as it gets. It's a great ramen shop and worth the trek to try. Delicious ramen done well and fast.

Staff seated us quickly and were solid with service - orders were taken fast and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Menu had a good selection of ramen and poke, what seems like their specialty, and we both got ramen. The broth was fine and taste was decent, nothing amazing but a solid spot for ramen in Connecticut. It satisfied the craving for sure! I wouldn't mind coming back if in the area again, but would probably stick to ramen just for comfort.

We came on a Friday evening and it was full but they were able to find us a table quickly. Inside, the place has a very casual feel and I honestly wasn't sure what we were going to get when we ordered. Just to say, looks were deceiving, but in a good way! The food was at a different (better) level than the ambience in the room. Basically, don't worry about how the place looks - you will love the food. Our waitress was sooo nice and friendly. We got our drinks quickly and ordered right away. Though we came for sushi, we were all mesmerized by the entree options and opted to try the bento boxes. I'm used to small bento boxes with tightly portioned foods and the "basics." What we got surprised us all. These bento boxes were actually huge plates of food. A full order of vegetable tempura, a whole California roll, entree, soup and gyoza. We barely made it through a quarter of it! And it was delicious! I got the chicken teriyaki and the chicken was so tender. The tempura was fried perfectly and the gyoza had a great flavor. All in all, I recommend you try this place out! Is it a fancy date night place? No. Is it a super casual date night place? Yes! Try the bento - you won't be disappointed! 4/5 stars only because they should spruce up the inside to match their amazing food!

I originally chose this restaurant because of the prices I saw online, which were about $3 less than the current prices. When I called, they explained that they haven't been able to update the online pricing yet. While I was initially surprised by the difference, I still found the current prices very reasonable. I paid $13 for the Chicken Pho and $14 for the Brisket Pho. The broth was very flavorful, rich, and comforting. The food tasted incredibly fresh, and even by the time I got home, everything was still nice and hot. I also ordered chicken pho for my kids, and both of them ate theirs! That says a lot because kids can definitely be picky. One of them even wanted more pho, so I'd say they enjoyed it just as much as I did. I really appreciated how thoughtfully everything was packaged for takeout. The broth comes in its own container, while the noodles, bean sprouts, lime, jalapeños, and other fresh ingredients are packaged separately. They also provide additional sauce packets and a utensils packet with spoons and forks. I saw chopsticks but forgot to grab them. This keeps everything fresh and allows you to put your pho together exactly how you like it once you get home. And a warning from someone who learned the hard way : DON'T dump all the chili oil into your pho unless you REALLY love spice! I made that mistake, and it was extremely spicy! It was actually still delicious, and since I wasn't feeling well, the heat felt great on my throat. They also provide jalapeños and additional sauce on the side, so you can customize the flavor and spice level. The portion was a good size and definitely satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Customer services was friendly, and helpful. I ordered ahead, and as soon as I arrived, my food was ready. No long wait, which I really appreciated. There is also a dining area, so next time I'd love to dine in and enjoy the full restaurant experience. But if I'm having one of those days where I just want to stay home in the comfort of my own house, I'd have no problem ordering takeout again. I love discovering restaurants that have an authentic feel, and this definitely felt like a place where I could explore more of the menu and try something new. I'm already thinking about what I want to order next! Would I come back? Absolutely. ‍‍‍ Kid-approved? Definitely. Fresh, flavorful, hot, and good portions? Yes! I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially to someone trying pho for the first time. The staff was wonderful, the food was fresh and flavorful, and the overall experience was great. I'm looking forward to coming back for another bowl of pho and trying more from the menu!
