I have been dealing with Conrad's for years. I had bought bikes from them in the past and just bought another from them last week. I have been to many Harley dealers across the country and Conrad's is the best hands down. The staff has always been great to me and the shop stands behind the work they do 100%. There is not one negative thing i have to say about the crew at Conrad's Harley Davidson. From the moment i walked into the dealership i was treated with respect and they gave me my space. Out of my 3 buying experiences i can forsure say i didn't get the "salesmen experience" this time around. Steve and Mike especially were great! Service dept had no time to look at our sticky brake while we were on the road. Told us they were backed up 2 weeks and we could leave it. We were 70 miles from home!!!! We traveled down to the competitor in Tinley Park and while they serviced our Dynaglide, (they were backed up too, but made time for riders on the road) we fell in love with a beautiful Ultra Limited and bought it for cash on the spot. Was getting ready for a weekend road trip through Western Wisconsin and needed to get my 2003 Electraglide in for long over due service. I was short in time but the service guy Wiz and managers Darren and Patrick did an awesome job getting a full 20k service, fork oil and new rubber on both wheels knocked out in a couple days and for a great price. They even washed the bike! Trip was great and so glad I got the new tires as the backroads of West Wisco and Wildcat state park surely put them to the test! Thanks Conrad's ! Expectations exceeded! Started off texting back and forth with Kat last night and picked up this morning with Dave regarding a new Pan America. Turned out that they had a one year old used one with only 132 miles on it that was all decked out with every bell and whistle you'd want. I threw a few numbers at them regarding my trade and the price of their bike. We agreed it made sense to come in for both of us to assess the other's bike. When I came in, Dave sat me down with Joe who was an absolute pleasure to do business with. After a very brief, and zero pressure negotiation we reached a deal. After that was a brief stop in the office of the nicest, most down to earth finance person I've ever done business with. I was in and out from start to finish in three hours. I just had Conrads install a new headder on my 2018 FLHTK. I go to pick it up and my brand new muffler had a scatch in it. They said it was from the pevious heat shield rubbing on it. Heat shields Don't Vibrate I was so pissed I didn't look at my bill till I got home and saw they charged me $ 50 to install my V&H FP3 under my side cover. All they did was pug it in and zip tie it to another componnent .Had to take all of 5 seconds !!! This is how they treat a customer who bought 2 bikes from them 1n 4 years. Conrad's flushed my brake fluid. The tech mistakenly added DOT 4 fluid instead of DOT 5. The service manager called me at home and asked me to return so they could fix the mistake. Another issue is Conrad's team. I'd love to walk in this dealer one day and see a minority on staff. I've been trying to hold my tongue about Conrad's Harley Davidson but the more I think about it the more it's bothering me, I've been buying parts, clothes and getting services done there for years and was always happy to do it, 2 summers ago I traded in my 1999 ultra Classic in and bought a 2001 Road king from them for $9000.00 and I was thinking about getting back into another ultra classic so I went in and they had a ultra classic on the floor for $10,000 that I liked and brought my road king in for trade in, I'm a real minded person and I understand that my Road King has 4000 more miles on it than it did when I bought it and it needs a new rear tire installed(I knew that and I have the new tire to put on it) they offered me an insulting $4000 trade in for a bike that i paid $9000.00 for not that long ago, to me that was like saying the screwed me on the original sale and now trying to screw me again on this deal, Ive decided to never do any sort of business with Conrad's again, I live very close to them but I think I'd rather drive out of town than waste my time going to Conrad's, It's a shame after all these years they have managed to insult me in this manner and cause my disgusted thoughts, Goodbye Conrad's Harley Davidson. read more

Some of you yelpers are being too hard on these guys. Great company with great employees. Bought a bike there and I've been shopping for accessories and service for years. It seems these days that some customers are looking for a reason to go on the attack. It's not fair to good companies like this . I've heard some people say "the salesman didn't approach me for quite some time" -who cares? Then YOU say hello or politely wait until they get finished with another customer. I've heard some customers saying that the pricing might not be low enough. I say then don't shop there, but they're wrong. I believe this is a good business/establishment and it's a shame that they have to deal with whiny customers that expect someone to kiss their ass and shine their boots so that they could be moderately happy. Hogwash. No matter how you're feeling that particular day I don't think that you should be tarnishing their reputation on line - which doesn't get erased and also put them on the defensive every time someone reads one of these reviews or mentions it. Judging by all the waterspots on my bike when I picked it up from service that weren't there when I dropped it off I'm guessing they washed my bike. I'm glad I wasn't charged for the wash because it wasn't good enough to remove the greasy fingerprints from my chrome and paint. Although I was charged 1/2 hour labor for not fixing my fender light. Did it really take 30 minutes to cut and remove the wiring harness? I am charging you $45.00 for removing the heel scuff from my tank that also wasn't there when I dropped it off. Please let me know who to send the bill to. Things like this are making it harder and harder for me to choose you for service. :( DISLIKE! read more

Steer Clear of this place, the service dept guys just give you a bad felling when you enter, worse when you leave. Whatever you do , dont complain about anything. They'll tell you like , its always like that after we work on it. They'll take 15 minutes tellin you how they checked your battery and it was ok? Well. I gave Conrad's a try. Needed a part for the bike. Walked in front door. No one around. Not many bikes inside. Stood at the counter of the service department while the one guy behind the counter fought with an unhappy customer about a bad part. Never even acknowledged I was there. Waited at least 5 minutes. Then left. All I saw was some girls working by the clothing area. And 2 guys in the back working on bikes. It's back to Chi-town Harley for me. Much better place. read more

Was in the market for my forever motorcycle went in to Conrad's, and was greeted by Al Sonner no pressure answered all my question before we even discussed buying a bike. When I felt comfortable, and only at the time I felt comfortable we did the test ride, finance, and any up grades I felt I needed. What a breath of fresh air to know it felt more like I had a salesperson to help me through the process instead of one trying to empty my pocket book, if you are in the market for a bike, or service go see Al he is truly an awesome guy! Conrad's service department is top notch! I had another dealer tell me there was nothing wrong with my bike but it was running so hot it was burning my legs. I brought it in to Conrad's and immediately they said that something was wrong. They were friendly, and attentive and always kept me in the loop. The mechanic even called me to discuss in depth what he found and what the next steps were. When I picked up my bike it was running smoothly and was cleaner than when I dropped it off. Kudo's to Doc, Chris and Billy for making this the best service visit that I have ever had. I pass several dealers from my home to Conrad's. Conrad's Harley in Sherwood Illinois for my motorcycle safety class my first day was Thursday March 22nd there are six of us.  The class started out with a lot of wasted stuff.  Darren Conrad came out to talk about the history of Conrad's and we went over the history of Harley Davidson.  They then made us go out to the show floor and do a scavenger hunt, we spent the first hour touring the dealer ship and them showing us the gear they have available and what is important.   We got to look at the bikes but they did not want us really bothering with sitting on them. And finally a tour of the Conrad's facility.  All nice and interesting stuff but not what I paid over $300 for.  This took up an hour and forty five minutes roughly.  We then spent about an hour after lunch having our instructor show us bikes that might work for us, that were on the show room floor.  The bikes showed to us were not even going to be the bikes we were riding for class.    I was impatient with this part of the tour, because they gave us requirements for what gear to have when class began.  Don't get me wrong there is more to know then the basics, but rain gear on day one. (Especially since we don't test in the rain) seemed point-less.  Showing me your parts department seemed also rather pointless.  None of us already own a motorcycle (well I kind of do but...).  After that we came back from a break and we began with our course work which according to instructor we had fallen behind and from there on out we were BEHIND. We know that Harley initiated these classes so people could learn to ride but for paying over $300 they seem to have little skin in making sure their students can get to license. This program was initiated so Harley could gain more riders to sell more bikes.   Upon reflection I think the way this class was set up was conducive to making people fail.  I do not say this lightly.  This was not Conrad's  first riding academy.  They have held many classes before.  You think they would prioritize what would make their students successful.  You have new riders why would you spend two hours screwing around with BS when you have people who have never ridden only have four days 2 field days and 2 class room days to learn to ride? Would that time been better spent making sure people got their money's worth in working towards their license?  They also split us in to two groups.  People who had ridden, and people who had never ridden.  All the people who had never ridden did not make it.  I would love to see the numbers on how many brand new motorcycle riders get their license through their program.  One of the women told me that Darren Conrad offered her a discounted rate if she wanted to take the class again in the near future.   Looking at the pictures of how few people make it through class and the instructor unwilling-ness to give me percentage on the number of people who make it through the class. We both thought it might be a cultural problem at Conrad's, no instructors are women, and none of their sales people for the motorcycles are women.  You think Harley and Conrad's would work harder to make sure people are successful in the class. So the truth finally comes out. Harley has a big problem with their ABS brake system. 2 year system brake fluid flush is not being done and Harley has a recall out. I brought my 2011 flhp in to your shop and Conrad's mechanics did not flush system and still charged me $100 and my ABS system went down while riding and I almost crashed. read more

Doc charged me $400.00 to change my mind on an engine rebuild. He doesn't care that I spent 20K on a bike and 3K in parts. We also dumped another $1000.00 in leather. I would highly recommend you travel past this location!!! Don't get ripped off by Conrad's Thugs!!!! read more

I can no longer see the last review that I posted. Perhaps it has been removed at the request of the business. I don't know. In any case. They have refused to install a tire and tube on a rim because I didn't purchase the tire and tube from them. What ever. Their competition gladly accepted the business. They told me that an oil change for engine only would be $95.00. Yeah, not when I can buy 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a k&n filter for $35.00. Really? $60.00 for labor? Whatever dude. Like other reviews said here, Drive by this place likes it's on fire and spend your good dollars elsewhere. Same Reasons as others here, They wouldn't replace a tire I brought in with my rim. At the time there was 5-6 techs standing at the desk talking with nothing to do And different HD dealer was happy to help me out. This is my first Harley , and next year my larger second Harley will be bought elsewhere. read more

I has purchased a swing arm back for my sportster 48. It was a Harley genuine accessory and when installed, it would cause a vibration while over bumps and while braking. I removed the bag and wanted to return the product and they would no return the product. They said I installed it incorrectly and I would have to pay them to install it. If they found an issue after they installed it they could send it out to be replaced or get my money back. Where the bag bracket attached to the swing arm pivot point it would hit the bracket. I spaced the bracket out by stacking washers and the vibration was gone. I just think I shouldn't have to ghetto rig a Harley accessory to work correctly on my brand new bike. The way they handled my situation turned me off by this place, with the multiply bad things I've heard from the motorcycling community. I drive to chi town now from Channahon so I don't have to go there. read more
