Great selection of bikes

I appreciated the good atmosphere and vibes in the store. The staff was all friendly and had the right blend of providing needed assistance and information without pressuring you into a sale or particular model motorcycle. I was assisted by the excellent staff members Al Burge and Larry Bozek. Btw I was able to test ride 4 models before making my decision. The test rides were no pressure or stress. The bikes pretty much sell for themselves and it's always good to meet cool people that make your shopping or buying experience first-class.

I'll have to apologize for my lack of insight when it comes to overall motorcycle knowledge, so bear in mind that this review deals with aspects of my dealership experience and not necessarily with any specific brand. I went in search of my first motorcycle after successfully completing an MSF course. I was limited by various factors, namely my short inseam and limited funds. On a good day, I am 5 foot 2, and with my boots on, I can maybe say that I stand at 5 foot 3. After doing research on what folks would call "good beginner bikes", I settled on finding a Buell Blast. Yes, the reviews on the Blast have huge chasms with some people claiming that they're bulletproof while others claiming that they are terrible. Whatever. My advice is to go ride one, and make the decision for yourself. A 4K bike isn't going to ride with the same characteristics as a 10K bike, and with most used Blasts between the years of 2002 and 2007 going anywhere between 2000 - 2700, there's a good chance that you'll find a good one. Anyway. The first thing that I noticed about Chi-Town Harley was that the space was massive. I've been inside a few indoor showrooms before, and although large, everything seems crammed and stuffed in there like sardines. This was NOT the case at Chi-Town Harley. It was spacious, clean, and there was ample walking room between their stock. The store is organized in an intuitive manner. Upon walking up to the double doors, the first thing that you'll probably notice is the Screaming Eagle in one of the windows. Walk through the main doors, and the main customer service/sales desk awaits. Motorcycles line either side of the store, and there is a common sitting area in the middle of the store. Accessories and clothing can be found in one of the corners, with the service area off to the side. Since I knew what I wanted to test ride, I called a day ahead to schedule the ride. Bill, one of the sales associates, gave me a walk through of the motorcycle and a test helmet before I set forth on my test journey. I mean, "walk through" is fairly nondescript, because let's face it - there's not a whole lot to go through on the Blast. At the end of the morning, I decided on a blue Blast with only 561 miles on it. I told Bill that I would have to store it at the dealership for about 1.5 months while preparing to move, which he was fine with. In that time, registration and plates arrived at the dealership, and he was kind enough to throw the plates on for me. I was able to get in and out within 15 minutes. Overall, ChiTown Harley offers a fantastic experience. The store is large and clean, the sales person I had was very friendly and kept in touch during the interim waiting period, and I felt like I was treated with respect and courtesy even though I was buying, by far, the cheapest and most expendable vehicle in their inventory.

Read the following for more info: A couple months ago, I brought my brand new car to Dan at Chi-South Customs 25885 S Ridgeland Ave #4, Monee, IL 60449 to paint an Italian stripe on the front, fix one scratch on front drivers fender, and color match the silver trim around side windows and a couple other spots on car. Three weeks later I picked up my car and paid in full. The next day I called Dan since I saw several issues with the vehicle. We went over every part of what he did wrong on my car. He gave me $2000. back. Could still see scratch on fender, the stripe is wavy, bled into the black, a scratch out of the white by emblem that he didn't even take off to paint. Painted all silver trim on car with out taking it off and didn't prep correctly. Passenger side $2000 in damage, head light has a 3 in. scratch. Front grill that wasn't painted has a 2in. scratch and over spray on it. All rubber around windows has paint on it. Red, white, and green over spray on sunroof. Over spray on other parts of car and windows. Damaged the front clip and hood with out fixing lines and wet sanded and buffed only parts of it. Buffing compound in a lot of spots he didn't clean. Now I have over $10,000 in damage I have to put out now to get it fixed. Dan said his insurance won't take care of it and he has no money. I told him to at least make payments and no response. Sorry to say he's not a man of his word.

It wasn't primed and it looks like someone just used a can of rust oleum to paint it and it's already peeling. They mounted the saddlebags with zip ties. I was told that the bags were leather, as I requested. They clearly are not. They mounted the bags on backwards but put them on correctly after I brought it to their attention. They rewired my 3 way taillights because they said they were wired wrong. Now the left brake light doesn't work. It worked before. They did a brake job on it and left me with a bad front brake. Their response was that I should just stop by downshifting. To be fair they finally fixed it. I ordered an led headlamp and they mounted a standard one. They finally replaced it with the correct one. The only things they did correctly the first time was mount a cup holder and a new horn. They had my bike on 04/18/17 and They "completed the work on 07/21/17. In the beginning I was told it would take two weeks max. While I was at their shop while all this was going on I met a guy who had three of his bikes there since February and they hadn't even touched them yet. I was just glad to get my bike back and just wanted them to repair the brake light. I was willing to settle for the substandard work on the bags and frame. But since they've been paid over $2000 in full they (specifically Tommy Creal, the owner) are avoiding me. Their shop has been closed. They have s sign on the door saying closed for remodeling which is bullshit. Their phone has a message from several weeks ago saying they were going to be closed for 4 days because of a backload of work. I've left messages on that phone and their message phone with no response. I've sent emails. I even taped a note over the keyhole on their front door asking them to call me. I went back the next day and the note was gone. Still no response. I am looking into taking action against them through a credit card dispute or small claims court.
