We had french toast and and an egg sandwich. Both were yummy. Good location and friendly staff. I'd go back.

We really enjoyed the food and the service. The burgers were good as well as the fries and onion rings.

Typical diner menu, but our party of six had a nice lunch and the best Arnold Palmers ever!

The food was awful: I got food poisoning as soon as I got home! Do not eat at this place unless you want to puke up your guts for an hour!

My husband and I had breakfast there. We got a lot of good food for a very reasonable price.

My mother raved about how great the relatively new Lost Mesa Grill is and we decided to stop by on our way out of town. I'm vegan due to health reasons and eating out is always a chore for me. We were quite thrilled to see there were several vegan options on their rather extensive menu. We opted for the mushroom, black bean and corn tacos with a side of refried beans. The ingredients were fresh and absolutely delicious! Other items on the menu looked delicious as well, ranging from comfort food such as chicken fried steak to ribeyes to a southwest steak salad or roasted beet salad. (Marinated tofu could be substituted for meat.) Brandon, our server, was wonderful, and being a fellow vegan, he had great recommendations. And to top it off, the owner had a box of vegetable from his overflowing garden free for the taking! This restaurant is a fabulous little gem for any community, much less such a small town and it easily meets the dietary needs of all clientele. (They even have gluten free buns for their burgers.) If you're going through Cedaredge or even if you want to make a detour off Hwy 50, you'll be happy you stopped at the Lost Mesa Grill for a fabulous meal!

My 6'5" husband asked politely for a larger table. The waitress gave us a heavy sigh, swooped up the menus, and walked over to a larger table, dropped the menus on the table and walked away! We ALMOST left! Took 35 minutes to get our food. Food (hamburger and fries) was ridiculously expensive considering they weren't all that tasty. Between rude staff, over inflated prices, and very average food, we won't be back!

I mean, we could not get enough. If you ever get a toast, make sure to ask for their fruity syrup. It's just WOW. Also, get their bacon - Starvin' Arvin's can make bacon right. Everything else is alright. We came in hungry and wanted a bit of everything. While we enjoyed their bread, pancakes and French toast, it seems like we ordered the weakest dishes in the joint. The chicken fried steak, hash browns and green chili omelet were okay. The steak and hash browns were lacking flavor on their own, so you really had to make it your own by adding seasoning or getting a touch of extra gravy. The green chili omelet has a lot going on. It's pack full of a variety of flavor, but when one component doesn't work, it's like the whole dish struggles because you can't pick it out of the dish. The place felt like an old-school diner which is something to appreciate. It has a nice parking lot around the location, and it's rowdy in the morning like you'd expect from a place like this.

Very weird experience here. First of all we were on a drive back from telluride on the day after my…read morebirthday. I let my boyfriend pick the restaurant not realizing they didn't sell alcohol. The waitress seated us at a huge corner table for just the 3 of us. After not even a minute of looking at the menu she asked us what we wanted, so I asked for a Bloody Mary. The waitress laughed in my face and said "yeah right, me too". So then I preceded to ask for a mimosa, thinking they didn't have tomato juice. She then let me know they didn't serve alcohol, so I said just waters fine. I still can't believe she laughed in my face, how rude! Then she comes back to ask us to move!!! Not only was that extremely inappropriate but it was my birthday . Then after we got up they didn't even direct us to which table they were moving us to. The table was still right next to the table beside it, is in touching our neighbors table. The guy sitting there even had his phone on our new table! Then after we order we realize my boyfriend had left his phone at the other table. When asking the new group sitting there if they had found it they said they turned it in. The staff didn't even think to ask if it ours even though they moved us from there. Then the waitress acts like she's doing us a favor by sending out a cinnamon roll. Well after we left we realize we didn't actually get a free cinnamon roll, there was only one brought out and my friend had ordered one as a side and never received it, meaning all 3 of us ended up eating the cinnamon roll that was supposed to be hers. Not only did the entire experience bum me out on my birthday, but I will definitely not be recommending this place or ever stopping back by. The ambiance inside was okay, and the food was good, but the service was atrocious.
