Was told we could only pay for it in cash (like actual paper money). OK, kinda odd, but whatever. Got cash and returned to be told that, even after fully paying off the phone in cash, as well as the account, the phone could not be unlocked for 35 days due to new FCC rule. When presented with both the Verizon and FCC policy that said otherwise. Still said that phone could not be unlocked to use with another carrier. Said it was a new FCC policy that wasn't yet on either site. Then, initially refused to give a receipt for paying off the account. Said we had to go to Verizon loyalty. INSANE experience... all ready received response back from FCC to file a formal FCC complaint...which I will be doing. Will also be reporting to BBB and local news tipline. This is the first time I was upgrading since moving to the east side, so I came to this store. It is a quite large and modern location compared to all others ive visited. They have a bigger selection of devices out on display, as well as accessories. I had a decent experience at the store, but my frustration comes later, when I looked at the account online and they had messed some things up. This resulting in me having to call Verizon's 1800 number and was then told that several things were done incorrectly by the store to boost their commission. Really for my money, if I can I either call customer service, or upgrade at Best Buy. If you have to go to a corporate location, this is still the best choice.

When my husband died they were very kind and understanding when I couldn't find a piece of equipment. When I noticed my bill going up they brought it down which I appreciated. Their service is impeccable. I have lost service three times in over five years and for short periods of time. Working from home service without disruption is imperative. Whenever I call customer service they are friendly and helpful. I am actually looking to move and not that my internet service would keep me from buying but I would be disappointed if I couldn't have them as my internet provider. I did call and gave them the address of where I am considering and they are going to help me get Alta Fiber since it's a new build neighborhood.

They say it's a major outage, but it wasn't. Came back on the middle of the night. Then Tuesday morning, while I'm working from home, it goes out again. Call them. They want to send another technician out but thankfully I've got reliable Spectrum coming out tomorrow to end this travesty. Don't switch. It's not worth. If you want to pay peanuts, then you'll get monkeys. We got monkeys and a whole lot of headaches.

I called mid-day yesterday and was immediately connected with a rep. I didn't catch his name, but he was extremely helpful and the process was very easy. It certainly didn't sound like he was scripted, and he was completely honest with me the entire time. It was funny, my info was taking a few moment to processed, and I joked about how slow their internet was... Apparently most of the employees have it in their home, but they don't have it at work, so they always joke about how they should actually have it at work. (Makes sense, right?) Yeah, it sounds strange, but apparently the service isn't offered in their area, so they couldn't get it unless they expanded. Sorta interesting. Anyhow, I was really happy with the sincerity and the service I received. It was very personal and helpful - i.e. I wasn't treated like a moron, since apparently many of their customers are tech-savvy. I just hope their broadband is as good as their customer service... fingers crossed!

When I called ten (10) days later to ask why I hadn't received any equipment, my order had completely vanished. There was no record of the call or transaction whatsoever. The rep took all of my information, created a username, password, took my credit card - everything, and it was not logged in the system at all. The first phone call took fifteen minutes, and the second one was not any shorter. I am irritated that signing up for service was so ineffective - I hope the actual service is better. I hope I won't need to call again.....signing up for service shouldn't be this difficult.

An update. I DID change my landline/internet/cable service to Cincinnati Bell! I've had it for a…read moreyear. And... it's pretty great. I changed from Time Warner/Spectrum/Charter. They didn't want to negotiate on pricing, kept throwing on crazy fees and the bill was just huge. So, against my better judgment and out of frustration, I called Cincinnati Bell. The lady I spoke to was really great. I played it col when she asked how much I was paying at Time Warner and how much I wanted to pay. But, ultimately, I got almost the exact same services and my bill was literally half the price of Spectrum. Locked in for a year. No contract. You pay a larger sum for three months so you don't have to pay the huge installation fee up front. I thought it was pretty smart. My service has been really consistent. The cable doesn't go out when the wind blows too hard. The internet is strong. I don't know the download speeds but it works to support like ten devices in my home. I've only had to call them for assistance two or three times. They were nice and helpful. The on demand for Cincinnati Bell tv is a little generic and difficult to navigate and there is really no useful app for a tablet... but it's not a bit deal. My first year is up and my price has increased as "promotions" expire. I figure with companies like Disney and FX building their own streaming services things with cable companies are going to be weird. It hasn't gone up much, though. And I'm not under a contract. So if I want to dump cable and move to Sling, I can whenever I want.

After a software update I am getting pop up messages about updating storage on my TV. I believe Altafiber TV service has been hacked but they won't allow the poor agent to admit it. One more pop up message and I'm gone! Altafiber needs to start providing customer service by showing concern about problems with their service. I feel sorry for the poor agents that have to deal with customer complaints.
