Cone Palace is crazy busy at lunch time. I popped in for a soft serve cone after seeing great reviews on Yelp. Cone Palace is a local family-run business that been serving Kokomo since 1966. The drive-thru line of cars wrapped around the building, so I decided to go inside. The parking lot was almost full. The prices are incredibly reasonable with tenderloins 2/$8. The burgers look popular. I was excited to see a coffee flavored soft serve called Cappuccino. My medium size serving was huge in an old school cone for only $2.59. The ice cream was creamy and good. The cone itself was remarkably fresh. The service was friendly and quick. The staff was busy. The dining room is clean and modern. Most people grab and go. Every time I come through town, I have to get a flurry. Their long is always long, and I can understand why. After having bad food at another place, this one is so much better. Obsessed is all I can say. I'm not a huge fast food person, but this place is too good. It's basic burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, and sides but they actually taste freshly made. We went on several occasions during our visit in Kokomo each time reviewing our food fast, piping hot, crispy, and melty. The various soft serve flavors were also great, but my favorite was today's orange dole. It was so perfect it reminded me of the flintstones orange push-up. Five stars is based on our one experience. Staff were friendly. We both got the Dole pineapple whip, which is a refreshing soft serve and amazing. I'd return just for that although some of their sherbets caught my eye. I don't live in the area but pass through a few times a year and will definitely stop here again. read more

I took a trip to Kokomo yesterday with friends. The best way i could describe this restaurant is a family owned culvers. The food is super cheap, so i understand why many come here. Cars were lined up out of the parking lot. The food was okay, it reminded me of fair food. The corn dog and onion rings are a must try here. It was a cute place to see and the inside was actually very clean. The food came out fast and it was warm. The employees were also attentive and we were acknowledged quickly upon arrival. I would come here again for their seasonal ice creams. Plus, such a good price for everything! read more

Pulling up to this location I just knew it had to be good because of the line going out into the road. Upon trying the food I found that my burger was nothing special. Dessert however was very good. I can't say I would come here again for food, but maybe for dessert. read more

Great Tenderloins, a bit on the small side but quality is tops. Onion rings are good too. Only drawback us the long drive thru line.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. The nostalgia gets me every time, but the food/drinks/ice cream/sherbet hold their own regardless. They change their flavors weekly but have staples, such as their variety of "arctic swirls," just like a blizzard, slushies, and sundaes. They post these flavors on Twitter. My personal favorites here are the grape sherbet, corn dogs, "twin" (vanilla/chocolate swirl) marshmallow sundae, and their bbq pork sandwiches. I also love lemonade slushies with real strawberries, YUM! In the summer, they have fresh blueberry sundaes that are to die for. Other seasonal items, like pumpkin ice cream and pumpkin pie arctic swirls, are also delish. The prices here are on the low side, very affordable. You will typically find teenagers working so service is hit or miss. The drive through line always moves incredibly fast, so don't let long lines scare you away. They keep the inside very clean, including the bathrooms. In the summer time, it's fun to sit outside, where you overlook a calm, large grassy area. Another nice bonus : free refills on soda. A big Kokomo favorite, I don't know anyone that doesn't love Cone Palace! I've never had anything bad there. We love their waffle cones with just a plain old chocolate and vanilla twist, and their tenderloins, chicken bites, and the cauliflower and mushrooms are all good! Cone Palace has weekly changes in their sherbet and frozen yogurt, in addition to, chocolate and vanilla. My go-tos are the flavor of the week with krunch coat, the brownie bite arctic swirl, the peanut butter shake AND the pumpkin soft serve when it's in season. Cone Palace also offers a variety of food choices with weekly discounts! My favorites are the French fries, corn dogs, and chicken bites. Very reasonably priced and tastes pretty good. I enjoyed a tenderloin sandwich, a chili dog and fried mushrooms. All were pretty good, I wouldn't get the sandwich again though. This is a local hotspot for ice cream and your typical fast food choices. My sister and sons were in town and I decided to take them here to try their popular soft serve while we were out and about. Since it was their first time to this establishment, we went inside so that they could peruse the menu and figure out what they want. There was no one in line when we came in and everyone glanced our way because our party was large (I had my 3 daughters too). We stood back from the counter looking at their menu and the young lady at the register kept saying that she can help us when we're ready. She quickly became agitated because apparently we were taking too long and by the time we moved up to the counter, she had a very rude demeanor. It was an unpleasant experience and I regret taking my sister and boys from out of town here. Cone palace has served Kokomo for as long as I can remember. They are well ran and organized. It's one of the only "fast food restaurants " that has always got our order correct and made just right. We've had guests from out of town, as far away as Switzerland who love it and want to go there whenever they visit. Their only "con" isn't really a problem with them but this summer (2020) they always have a very long line in their drive through but I'd say they handle it as efficiently as possible. Cone Palace use to be a amazing place to go. I have know idea what has happened but the service and food have when very downhill. Took the family out for dinner and ice cream the grilled tenderloins are less than half the size they used to be. Got three small artic swirls order two Reese pieces and a butterfinger. They gave us Reese cups instead of Reese pieces pointed out the mistake and was told no longer had Reese pieces. Could have mentioned that when ordering?? No sorry or anything. Started to eat the butterfinger and there was little to no butterfinger in it could not even see pieces of it. Said something about it and they said "Oh that's butterfinger we only put one scoop in it" pointed it out that couldn't even see pieces in it was told " that's how it is if you want more you should have ordered extra." I was polite in my questioning and to be rude to and no apologies sorry can not recommend anymore and will not be returning. Sad this place use to be great. read more
