I cannot say enough how much I loved the optometrist (Dr Chen) here! First off when I asked questions using verbiage such as 3 way mirror, epiblepharon, she actually completely understood what I was speaking about and gave me very sound medical advice. Mind you, I'm VERY picky when it comes to optometrist as my sister is one. I did a walk in and they were very gracious and very thorough with the paperwork (first time I've seen in a long time). She also really educated me on my options as I have natural mono vision (very uncommon) and as such, treatment options are not standard for me. She truly took the time to hear what I had to say and listened attentively to my needs. I will absolutely be coming back and she will be my primary OD from now on. I truly enjoyed our conversations and she was just so thorough and accounted for my needs. Last time I went to an optometrist and I got glasses and they didn't tell me until after I had picked up my glasses and had done the whole prescription procedure that glasses weren't going to be effective for me as a result of my mono vision. It was a waste of $200 that I had wished they told me from the start or even when I had finished my comprehensive exam. This place is absolutely hands down the best! The staff are all on top of your appointments and send you at least 3 reminders. During COVID times, they are very cautious and sterilize EVERYTHING. Above and Beyond Customer Service I went in with broken rims. The soonest the company could replace my current rims was 6 months. I thought I'd have to get a whole new set of glasses so scheduled an exam to confirm prescription. In the mean time, staff asked their regional sales rep if other local optometry offices might have my frames. They located a pair, I paid immediately and paid for shipping and the frame were delivered within a few days. My old lenses were popped in and I was good to go. Fantastic experience. read more

Excellent optometrists and staff. Overall, I was very pleased by their work. I came here for my first eye exam in many years, and my vision was starting to become blurry. I had a comprehensive eye exam here. Then I was given a prescription, and I picked a set of frames. After a couple weeks, I got my first glasses. The lenses turned out to be a perfect match for my vision! And the Salt titanium frames are sturdy and look nice. The optometrists and the staff really do care about your vision needs. We found Concourse Optometry through word of mouth. Recommended by my partner's boss, we wanted to give it a try for us and our son since it accepts our VSP insurance and was conveniently located near our work as well as our home. The shopping center itself is pretty hectic especially during lunch and dinner times; thankfully, they have a couple of designated parking spots that are specifically reserved for their office. It is a nice office filled with professional and friendly staff. We really like Dr. Chen as she really is thorough when it comes to your eye health plus she takes her time to explain everything and to go over any concerns or questions we might have. They have a variety of glasses to choose from, but wish they have more inexpensive options or that the $150 credit for old glasses can be redeemed for insurers and not just for non-insurers. I've been going to Dr. Chen since 2015 and I can confidently say that she & her team are some of the best in the business! Every time I go, I feel welcomed & appreciated as a customer/patient and they are very thorough with information, working with my insurance plan, & answering questions I have. The exams are straightforward & usually time-efficient so I feel safe that things will go smoothly in terms of punctuality. All factors considered, I've always been happy with my purchases whether it be glasses or contacts - and I've had a wide variety of frames, lenses, and contacts that they've helped me purchase so it says a lot about how much I can count on them. If I had to say anything less-than-stellar about Concourse, all it would be is the parking situation if you go around lunchtime since it's a rather dense part of town with the surrounding businesses, but they have a reserved parking spot that you can call them for so they can open it for you, so that level of initiative is greatly appreciated. I was nervous to keep my appointment because of the number of COVID cases in Orange County. I thought I would go and see what kind of precautions they were taking and leave if I wasn't comfortable. Every single staff member was masked up so I thought I'd at least go inside. First, you have to have a mask on to enter. If you don't have one, they will give you one. They have sanitizer as you enter also. They take your temperature and then let you enter. They offer you sanitized pens to fill out your paperwork at your own little desk station. Once done, all of the equipment is sanitized with alcohol wipes right before you are asked to touch anything or put your face on any machine. You keep your mask on the whole time you're being tested. They will wipe down anything they ask you to touch. They clean every pair of glasses that a customer touches in a sanitation bath before returning them to the case. Dr. Chen is so amazing. She has been through a really difficult 9 months, having to close and furlough her workers and reopen under very strange COVID circumstances. Let's help keep her business alive.
