It was creamy, had a good strong matcha flavor, and the salt added a nice touch! The drink was comparable to other popular matcha spots, and I'd definitely get it again. The tiramisu I got was also delicious - light, creamy, and not too sweet. The workers were helpful when I had called about the cake, although unfortunately their cake decorator had left for the day already so I wasn't able to get writing on my cake. They did provide complimentary candles which was nice. The bakery is inside of a shopping mall, but there are seats inside. I didn't stay to enjoy my drink, but you definitely have the option to. Yesterday, I went there to buy a few slices of cake to celebrate my mom's birthday and Mother's Day. Since my mom has diabetes and needs to control her blood sugar, we didn't buy a whole cake. Instead, we bought two slices of cake (one slice of sweet potato cake, and mocha cake) and two salt bread rolls. I buy bread here often, and I always like this bakery because everything is delicious and the staff is friendly. The garlic cheese bread I had this morning was especially so delicious. When I went there yesterday evening, they told me that donuts, sandwiches, and salt bread were 30% off. I thought about buying a sandwich, but I didn't because the sandwiches had ham in them. Other than this location, I used to go often to the Concerto Bakery inside Hannam Market in Koreatown LA. When you go there in the evening, they sell three or four breads for $10, so I used to buy bread from there often. But recently, some of the bread stayed in the refrigerator for more than two weeks, and I ended up throwing it away. Concerto Bakery is a must try if you're looking for Korean style breads/pastries. They have so many salt bread flavors to choose from. I highly recommend the Sweet Potato Salt Bread ($3.75)! They had so many unique breads and pastries here. They also had a lot of different Castella cake flavors to choose from. The Triple Berry Yogurt cake slice ($7.50) was very good, but too pricey. I also recommend the Kona Ice Coffee ($7). It had a good Kona coffee flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. You get up to three hours of parking for free. Just make sure to park in the City Center underground parking (not the H Mart parking side) and remember your license plate number. Typically, they can be overwhelming and take away from the taste from the salt bread, but this one was not too sweet and there was a really nice sweet potato filling that was made with real sweet potatoes and not cream. My wife and daughter were craving salt bread from Korea. We first discovered salt bread in Myeongdong and fell in love with the crunchy, exterior and the soft, pillowy interior with salty buttery bites. The problem was that we weren't in Korea. With low expectations, we found Concerto Bakery in K-town, because c'mon, how could anything be better than the original? We read on Yelp ahead of time that there were two separate parking structures. We knew ahead of time to enter on Mariposa Ave but we missed it and ended up in the Hmart parking structure. This was fine with us because we planned to shop anyway and knew there was a $30 spending for free parking. The bakery was situated directly in front of Hmart with an open design with two to three counters of pastries. We zeroed in on the salt bread. At first, my daughter was sad because they didn't have the strawberry salt bread, but I noticed a small sign stating that the pastries can be ordered at the counter. My wife reflexively grabbed the original salt bread and savory breads (mentaiko, garlic) and I grabbed the sweet salt breads (milk, anko, sweet potato). My son does not appreciate salt bread yet and grabbed a twisted donut. We paid at the counter, and they were really sweet answering any questions we had. My wife bit into the original salt bread, paused for a second, and a smile spread across her face. The crunchy exterior combined with the soft, buttery, salty bites were EXACTLY like the bites in Myeongdong. We tried all the other breads, but honestly, nothing can beat the original. A close second was the milk salt bread with soft, fluffy cream contrasting with the flaky, salty bread. The mentaiko salt bread offered an explosion of salt. We ended up at the counter a total of four times because 1) my son wanted another twisted donut; 2) my wife got more salt breads; 3) we got drinks; 4) and my wife got even more salt breads. Really disappointed with the bakery inside Hmart today. I ordered a drink and noticed right away my cup wasn't even filled properly, especially compared to my friend's same order, but mine had noticeably less. That already didn't feel right. On top of that, I bought several sweet breads, including ones with whipped cream, and they packed everything into a box that was way too small. By the time we opened it, the cream was all smashed and the bread was a mess. The service also felt very unhappy and careless, like they were just doing it because they're paid to be there, not because they care about customers. We didn't make a big deal at the time, but honestly this kind of experience needs attention. For the price and expectation, this was pretty frustrating. Honestly this is one of my favorite coffee spots in LA they do coffee so well here. The drinks have a perfect balance of flavors even with the flavored lattes through thr milk and flavors you still taste the coffee uobto the last sip, and its great coffee. I dont live close and I seriously make the hour drive sometimes just for a coffee. I'm bummed they dont always have the pastries I want though. Feels like they've changed or they have less options. Thr classic sweet potato i haven't seen in a while I go a little later in the day so maybe they're sold out but the pistachio Malasada was amazing I drove there (1 hour) 3 seperate occasions just to look for it and this last time they told me they don't have it any more. In other words, there are 2 choices 1) go to HMart and spend $30 to get a free validation for 1 hour free 2) pay on your own. I was there for about 15-20 mins and I had to pay $5!!! I wasn't too excited about paying $5 on top of what I spent at the bakery; a whooping $45. Mind you, the bakery does not validate period. In regards to the pastries, there was a lot of variety; I did enjoy the corn bread. The sea salty and truffle bread was light: light in texture and in truffle taste. Haven't tasted the other items that I got: red bean with a slab of butter, garlic bread, ham & cheese croissant. I got a pistachio latte and surprisingly it was really good. The espresso/beans itself was strong and not burnt taste. Comes with a price tags of $7. Overall, the place is better than decent (lots of fresh pastries, donuts, cookies, cakes) a nice typical Korean Bakery but the parking payment itself would deter me from going back/or make a special trip there. My friend picked 6 and received a discount which I thought was nice and quite affordable. We also got a sweet potato small cake to try in store and I liked the texture and how moist it was, but I was a bit disappointed and hoped the sweet potato flavor was stronger. For the salt breads, all of them were good flavored and I loved the texture. For the past few months, I've been seeing an abundance of Instagram reels featuring shio pan, or Japanese salt bread. It's been incredibly hard to find in the Bay Area, so when I saw that Concerto Bakery offered it down in SoCal, I made a point to stop by while we were in the area. I had high expectations -- and to be perfectly honest, the shio pan tasted like a glorified dinner roll. It was a bit fluffier, and I appreciated the hint of saltiness in each bite, but it's not something I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way to get again. I imagine the one I had had been sitting out for a while, and this is the kind of bread that would benefit most from being eaten fresh out of the oven. In addition to the salt bread, I tried their choco banana latte. I really enjoyed the cream on top -- but make no mistake, this drinks more like a dessert. Espresso purists will likely be offended, but if you're someone who loves a Starbucks frappuccino-style drink, this one will hit the spot. If you're curious about shio pan, you can definitely check it off your list here. Salt bread, soboro, ube (or maybe it is purple sweet potato) bread with custard inside, macarons, honey almond croissant, blueberry maritozzo bread, injuimi mochi- I don't even know where to start and how to review! They are all so good. The iced dalgona latte is one of the best lattes I have had. I would visit just for drink. I like that it is still strong than sweet as the dalgona pieces and pastries are sweet enough! i will comeback to try their lavender lattes. Staff there were very attentive and friendly. I think I just found the most amazing and inexpensive bakery that sells the viral salt bread, the prettiest cakes, matcha drinks, and more. It's tucked away inside the H Mart in Koreatown, and I could not believe the prices and promotions they have going on. Like cakes are expensive in my mind and some of them looked like they were gonna be $90 or more, but they have monthly cake specials for 50% off so the August mango cake is only $23!!! The owner also specially sources coffee beans from his OWN farm in Kona, Hawaii, which they roast everything in house, and the matcha they use is one I've never heard of before called MULBERRY MATCHA, which gives a more fruity aroma rather than the usual earthy taste. And don't even get me started on the pastries. Their salt bread is super unique here, with a crunchy buttery crispy bottom while still having the texture of a fluffy cloud. I highly recommend coming early because some of the things will sell out! And a PSA: Do NOT park on B1 of the parking structure. It is for H Mart customers only and it is $5 every 15 mins. Located inside City Center on 6th this cute bakery and coffee shop is on the first floor across from H Mart. They are well known for their salt bread of so many unique flavors. I tried their tiramisu, blueberry cream and the original one. So soft and spongy and very great flavors. They have a lot of other Korean baked goods as well as cakes by the slice or full cakes to purchase. I ordered their matcha Einspanner and it was so yummy. There was a very unique after taste from it, and I can't pinpoint if I liked it or just tolorated it if I'm being honest. But I didn't hate it at all. The girls behind the counter were so nice and efficient . The line was long to pay and order but moved pretty quickly.
