Beware of this place. I took my MacBook Pro here for a battery replacement. Less than 1 month later the battery they installed is loose fitting and rattles inside the computer as they used cheap adhesive. The battery no longer holds charge and the bottom screws to the cover plate on the laptop have become loose leaving the cover plate unsecured. When the man behind the counter initially quoted me for the work he promised to use a genuine apple replacement battery. I recently learned that this was not the case. Also, the computer was handed off to a kid who performed the work.. THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF AND DOES SHOTTY WORK! They basically ruined my laptop over a simple battery replacement. read more

They were willingly to buy my old 2010 MacBook Pro and 2015 iMac. In addition, they gave me a good offer in buying my iPad Pro 9.7 inch unlike Apple which they lowballed me. They are located across the Centerville station. Parking is behind the building. Great service. read more

I came in because my laptop was shutting off prematurely and needed to fix it as soon as possible. Being new to the area, I was nervous about finding a new repair shop. Walking in, Brian (the manager) knew exactly what was going on and had all the parts on hand already and went out of his way to let me know and reassure me it would be fixed next day (and he kept his word). On top of fixing the original problem he decided to fix a lot other underlying problems (adding more RAM and was nice enough to give me a battery since mine went bad). On top of trying to fix the original problem with my laptop Brian and his people wanted to maximize the hardware optimization. So if you're looking for a place that will fix your computer problems and make sure your devices are running their best on top of everything, you've found the place. The price to fix was extremely reasonable also. It was a blessing finding this place. Trust me when I say I highly recommend this place. read more

I personally did not go here. But I dealt with the aftermath of the work performed. I personally have a background in Manufacturing IT which is one of the toughest areas to support especially if its for the company that makes cars in CA.... My father went here after he looked around a few sites/reviews. Apparently he came in and he was "taken care of". He had an issue on his harddrive (1TB Seagate Barracuda) on his desktop. The work performed: Swapping the HD for an SSD Windows 10 installed on SSD (Home) Fan Heatsink cleaned up All Data recovered and scanned and tested okay... When I went to see this "repair" I was pretty appalled by the quality and workmanship that was done by this store. Even a High School IT person could do better work than this store. I will go one by one on each of the items performed and the conversation provided by Brian. HD to SSD swap = The HD is a couple years old, but its a tried and true Seagate drive. It was removed and in its place...was a not so good quality SSD. Not even a Patriot or ADATA (which are not as great as Samsung or San Disk/WD but better than a silicon power SSD) I asked Brian about this drive and its quality, he replied with a "oh ive used these drives numerous times and they never break and there office is local; which it is in Fremont" - the price of the SSD = 18.99 on Amazon. His price = 49.00. Brian comment = "oh an SSD is light and doesn't need to be secured and does need to be fastened to the chassis (yikes)" Then some blabbing about not to worry and warranty....also the 3 yr warranty is part of the SSD price at CW". Amazon shows that SSD with a 3 yr warranty @ 18.99. We ended up getting the HD back. Good. Windows 10 install = Software no biggie does what it should. Fan Heat sink cleaned up = Not performed whatsoever. I will attach pictures of the "cleanup" Not even remotely close. Argument was made that it was a "rush job" and the store was busy and my dad wanted it done fast. Apparently today (9/11) Brian explained that one of his "workers" performed the job and did not clean the inside...he was also surprised why we did not bring the PC in...hmmm.... Thumbscrews were missing as well from the door. Brian argued initially that the PC never came with thumbscrews. BS. The paint marks of the screws going through the anodizing are on the door (pic attached). At least we got the hardware back along with the HD. All Data recovered and scanned and tested okay: A line item on a invoice. But no "proof" no snap of the end result from whichever program they used. No certification. When asked Brian: "In my 23 years I have never had to provide a certificate, show me this certificate so I can use it as well". If that isnt sarcasm or attitude I dont know. But quite a few IT companies provide proof. Lifelock provides this. Check google. Pretty appalled by that comment. In the end, he offered to "look at the computer again" I told him to have the HD and parts ready for my Father. His response was: "oh why are you having your Father come here and back and forth? Lots of smoke and ash and hes old." "have him come by on Monday @2" Not needed and not cool. Thankfully im smarter than a IT guy running a shop with lots of one star reviews. I run my own business along with supporting a manufacturing site during COVID. I really do not need your "comfort" Plus my father can do things himself. Minus that wonderful experience; I reached out to a few IT professionals ive personally worked with and they quoted 95.00 for the entire job. With them coming by socially distancing and working on the computer. Computer World invoiced for 193.00....there isnt need for a refund/reply (Brian might reply. W/E). Overall, id really recommend to go to Central Computers or even Geek Squad. Or go on YouTube and DIY.The overall explanations/attitude and behavior smells like OSH back lot on a clear summer day. read more

I spilled a coconut water drink on my trusty old macbook air and took it in to see if I can replace the sticky keyboard. I was told that it's a simple job, and it would be ready in 30 minutes. I was besides myself, as you can imagine. I took it home and found out the mic is not operational anymore. So I took it back and was told that there is a cable that is specific to the 2012 circa laptops. That replacement didn't do the trick, and I ended up using my phone to conduct my remote video sessions with my clients. I was very stressed. Since it was now Friday, I was told that I had to return on Monday. Stressed out again, I returned on Monday only to be told that there was nothing else he could do for me, and that the problem is due to the program I was running. I had used Zoom for over 4 years on this laptop, never having trouble with the mic. I had already paid the owner Soleiman over $300, which was $100 over the original quote at this point and although my keyboard was replaced by another keyboard from another laptop and was working, now my computer wasn't. He never correctly diagnosed the issue, or tested it after replacing random parts. Since I didn't know what else to do, and Soleiman seemed convinced that he had done all he could and was adamant that he had done a good job, I told him I wasn't satisfied, and that I would now have to go and get a new laptop. As I started to leave, he told me to "Get the fxxx out of here!". That was not necessary and left me feeling robbed and abused, vowing to never do business with a shop owner who is not only incompetent, but also abusive toward his customers. read more

Do not go here. allegedly They will steal your MacBook parts and sell them and avoid picking up your calls. Not to mention, allegedly it took me a while to get my Mac book back and only to find out they stole shit from it and messed it up more. I forgot to mention this happened a year ago. When I got my new MacBook I remembered what happened and wanted to let you guys know not to come here. Edit: not to mention the guy wouldn't even give me a refund of the money either. Also the owner messaged me threatening me that he's going to report me to the police when all I speak is the truth. I should've gone to the cops when they were avoiding to return my laptop, but didn't want to go through the trouble. Edit #2: the transaction isn't under my name it's under my sisters. Now, from your reaction calling me a liar I wasn't going to file a complaint now I am. I also have a receipt that I need to find also I'm going through my sisters bank statements too. Computer World - Wow, amazing isn't he? - Computers Near Me - Fremont, California

The old skool saying...I know a guy... This is the guy you wanna know...meet Brian! or as I call him Maestro (it's on the receipt). We were referred to him by many people... Everyone in town likes this guy and his business, that is pretty amazing. Then when I looked him up on YELP and seen so many 5 star reviews I thought he had to be The Guy! So we want an old laptop screen replaced since I still have photos in it I want, he gives us a quote I think it's high, my husband thinks it's fine. I feel people should be paid for their expertise so we agree. The Maestro says come back in a few hours, I'm in no hurry and think a few days is fine, but okay. We returned later that afternoon it was ready. He offers to update it if we bring it back another day. Wow that is an impressive offer! I checked in on YELP but we all got to talking and I forgot to use it. It is $15 off the service fee! So if you go in use the check in offer, don't forget like I did. It must be said that this great business doesn't have it's own parking lot. Thanks I'm sure to our great City of Fremont! They took it to expand the Railroad plaza. Goodluck finding a spot in the nearby businesses. If you park in the Amtrak lot it's $3... I will not ding him a star for parking. I'm sure it is not his fault and he said you could park free in the dentist spots since most visits to his shop are pretty quick. And he did a great job! read more

Update: got a nasty message from the "manager" calling me a liar. To the manager, your message definitely reflects on how you run your business. Sketchy and messy! I don't have much to say, it's extremely messy, the people who work here are very rude and give off a bad vibe. Computers stacked up, power cables hanging off tables, on the floor. Dirty floors. I was greeted with... nothing, just a stair, I said hello, no response, then two employees started chattering in a non-English language. Everything here seems to be junk/broken, this place feels more like a front for loan shark then a computer store or repair shop. 1/10, 0 stars. Don't go here! They didn't even answer the phone when I tried prescreening this place. read more

READ HIS 1 STAR REVIEWS. Brian is great at lying and pretending to be a friendly man. If you read the 1-star reviews, they all say similar things: Brian took my laptop for 6 MONTHS, blocked both my number and my partner's number, lost my charger, would not send me a receipt, and kept making excuses on why my laptop would take longer to fix. I took it to Fasthuma IT and got it fixed within 2 weeks. Messy store, FAKE 5-star reviews, shady scammer, do not trust! read more

Hello everyone please don't make the same mistake I did and read all the bad reviews before going to this place. This place is being ran by a scammer named Suliam saberi. I took my gaming Pc to get a diagnostic done and ended up getting scammed for 700$. He sold me some unnecessary parts I didn't need, when I asked him for a refund he got mad and very aggressive. I personally plan on pressing charges it's not about the money I could care less, But I personally think it's unfair this scammer is taking advantage of innocent people. Hoping Karma one day comes to this scammer!!! read more

Brian is the BOMB! I am not tech savvy AT ALL and was in desperate need of assistance. I searched Yelp, called and Brian must have heard the desperation in my voice because he told me to bring it in and he could help. OMG, help is not even the word. Brian was EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE and more importantly patient with me as I know nothing more about computers other than power, getting on the internet and typing in a document. Let's say I'm a young dinosaur but Brian thoroughly explained everything to me and ensured I understood. This shop is 30 minutes away from me but I'd make the drive again and will tell my family/friends and fellow Yelpers, Brian knows his stuff! read more

A very bad experience and wish no one need to go through it ~~ - hard to work with - not answering phone call, nor checking voice msg - not following his own words We dropped our iPad on Tues for battery replacement and was told it won't be worked on until weekend. 0.5 hour later my husband called and left a message to cancel the order. However, next morning (Wed) when we went back to take the iPad back, the store manager refused because he said "he already opened it" ! After hearing we left a message to cancel the order 1 day earlier, the store manager then said he will check his voice msg and get back to me soon. He never call us back, nor answer our following calls. We eventually have to pay $20 to get the iPad (not fixed) back simply because the store manager claimed he had ordered the battery,.... read more

I went there to get a quote for a computer repair (required by my extended warranty). The computer spent in the store a week, and every day the guy there promised to return it "tonight, or better yet, tomorrow morning", but when I'd come to the store, he would be not ready. After a week I finally managed to get the computer back and for $39 the guy gave me a paper that literally said "repair $380. Mother board no good". The most disorganized place. I don't normally do reviews but I feel like this place deserves it. Brought my laptop here since it was down the street from my workplace. My MacBook Air had a glitched screen. I was greeted by a man named Brian- super energetic and did not waste anytime. Took my laptop, gave me a price and told me he would check if he had an extra screen. He was honest & asked when I needed the laptop to be fixed. Since I use my laptop for schoolwork, I told him I needed it fixed by the end of the day. Laughed and joked about how everyone in the area always request for same day fixes and told me he would contact me if he was unable to fix it by the time I needed it. I contacted my friend to confirm if the price given to me was reasonable and confirmed the price was very reasonable. I dropped off the laptop during my lunch at 11:30. By the time I parked my car upon returning to work, he had called and told me he found a screen & would have the laptop fixed in 20mins! I was super impressed. He also fixed the hinges of my laptop since they were loose at no extra cost. I mentioned the Groupon and Yelp check in deals shown online and he was able to honor both deals! When I came to pick up my laptop, he also gave me a free screen protector since he noticed mine was cracked. I recommend this place. Not only was Brian honest, he was efficient and charged me with a reasonable (almost a steal) deal. Awesome customer service! Thank you Brian! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Do not take your laptops or computers here please. I brought my laptop in because it had a company freeze since I wasn't working for the same company I brought it in and asked the owner if he could fix it and he said yes..he had it done and available for pick up the next day so I did and about a week went by and the computer froze again so I told him and he said bring it back I'll fix it...I did. Then he never contacted me I had to continue to follow up again and again then he would not answer when he realized it was me calling to the point I had to call from another number..he would say oh it will be done by this day so i show up 7 days later when he says it's ready and it's not ready and he promises the following day it will be ready and offers me a loaner computer then he offers to just trade mine for another one he has? So I got upset and started to wonder what he was hiding. I said no I just want me same laptop back and he said ok fine it will be done tomorrow so I wait and he never calls so I call him of course no answer until I again call from another number..he says it's STILL not ready. I decide I want my laptop back because I do not trust anything he is saying at this point. So I go down there and this man literally refuses to give me my laptop and screams at me when I won't leave without MY LAPTOP ...he shouts and tell me I'm a fucking idiot? I told him I wouldn't be leaving without my property and he would not give me my laptop and got so upset he kicked around boxes of computer parts..I showed up there at 11:45am and I called the cops so he would return my laptop and after waiting until 3PM!!!! He says this other young kid who works there was working on my laptop and misplaced the keyboard!!!! He actually keypad is gone and that he has to find it...they never found it they never replaced it they never repaired my computer I got it back not fixed and with no keypad and I have to replace it now... I had to dispute the original charges through my bank because he didn't ever provide the service nor did he return my Laptop the way I gave it to him. I visited this place as a walk- in for the first time a few days before Christmas 2020. Before going, I read favorable Yelp reviews and upon entrance I observed how busy the business was so I felt like I took my business to the right place. I was acknowledged right away. I came with 3 Laptops (An outdated Dell and 2 HP's). I needed the data from the Dell transferred to one of the HP's that needed a new hard drive. The other HP needed cosmetic repairs as both of the hinges were broken. Brian, made sure to know EXACTLY what I wanted done and we wrote up a work order. He told me he'd call me the next day for a quote after he was able to assess the details of the job(s).-.Which, in fact, he did call the day with a thorough quote specifying every detail that needed to be done to complete the job. Note: ALL quotes are FREE! The same day I visited another computer company in Hayward who was going to charge me $75 alone for a quote which they'd keep if it wasn't going towards a job. During the quote, Brian was honest about the options I had about fixing the HP with the broken hinges which, come to find out, is a common problem with the HP model I have. Everything was completed the next day and I paid a discounted price than the original quote amount and given a warranty for the repairs! I needed an android charger, so Brian threw that in for free. Going back to get so other installations on 1 HP I'm glad I saved time and Money going to Computer World, Fremont! read more

So, let me preface this review by saying that for the past 2 months I've been quarantined with my parents, who were visiting from Asia and for understandable (and obvious) reasons, can't go back. I'm also a 38-year-old single mom. I was raised in a household where the mentality was: if we didn't have to spend money, we wouldn't. Whether or not you agree or not with that mindset is irrelevant to the point of my story. It's mainly so you understand that I come from a household where rather than pay to actually fix things, my parents devised workarounds, aka little tricks to make shit work until they absolutely, positively had no choice but to either get it fixed or replaced. You have a busted charger? Use mine! Or the other 10 that we somehow acquired over the years, some of which don't work unless you wiggle or hold it in place! You can't hear audio unless I go on speaker? Well, then all our conversations will just be on speaker. As an adult, this has had two profound effects on me. 1) I chose a career in tech and promptly got divorced so that no one could ever tell me what the fuck to do with my money ever again and 2) I cannot stand workarounds. Either I'm gonna pay to get it fixed, or pay for a new one, and after I remove the hard drive, let the kid "Office Space" the old one in the backyard. My money, my choice. Computer World was fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all got my laptop fixed in the same amount of time it took to go to Jamba Juice and come back. Not only that, I've got a yearlong warranty and a new friend in the computer business. I will no longer take my laptop or any of my devices elsewhere. read more
