And at the end I came home to find out he didnt give me my computer back but instead gave me another one that looked almost exactly the same. I know nothing about computers, but I do know which dents and features my computer had. And the one he gave me does not have those dents nor features. I am really impressed, amazed and grateful for Brian! He responded to my message at night and the next day I came in with my broken screen of an air book Mac. He told me it would take 40 mins. So I left, within minutes he called back saying it was fixed. My laptop screen was fixed under 10 minutes. I still don't know how it could've been fixed that fast because my laptop screen was pretty damaged. So this place is a computer repair along with invitation printing. I did not use there computer repair service so I will not review that. What I did come to Computer World for was wedding invitations. Here's my review: Upon entering, very crowded store and little help. It was only one guy working and he had 4 or 5 people that needed help. He quickly gave me the binder for wedding invitations. My fiancé at the time and I looked and made our decision. He showed us a sample of one that a customer refused to buy. And the whole time he kept trying to sell those same invitations to me. He kept bragging about the color and quality of the invitation. It was written in gold!!!! I mean seriously it was way out of my league. He brought up the invitations up atleast 4 times that day. So finally, we made a decision and he said it will take 1 week and he will call me. He said give me x amount of dollars for deposit and the rest will be due at time of pickup. He emailed me proofs and there were many spelling errors that I mentioned to him. He said he will correct them and email me the new ones. Again, it was the same thing he just sent. Two or three tries later he finally got it right. Seven days goes by and no word. I call him and he says he's still working on it. Ten days and still nothing. 4 weeks later!!!!!! I took my daughters Apple laptop for repair of water damage to get a quote. He (I didn't get his name) gave us an understandable explanation of what needed to be repaired. He had the laptop open so I can see the water damage to the board. My daughters iPhone 8 was also cracked and I had seen another customer picking up a bunch of phones that had been repaired . I inquired about what had been done to the phones and he said I repaired all of the phones. So I showed him my daughters phone and he said I can fix that for u also come back at 7pm to pick up the items. Once I said yes you can repair the laptop, he started working on it and a couple hours later I was given a call to pick up everything. He takes checks and Venmo and I'm sure cash. I asked my daughter this morning to let me know how everything was working and she was pleased to let me know that everything was restored and working well. Excellent service. Great guy. I needed a new battery for my laptop, so I purchased one on ebay. Couldn't manage replacing it myself, so I came here, where Brian replaced it in an hour. Unfortunately, the battery was dead. To make things right, he offered to replace the next one at no charge, and gave me several tips on where to get reliable batteries. He assured me that he could save all my data and fix my computer. My laptop had a problem getting power into and I was looking for a place to figure out why. Geeksquad couldn't help me at all and some of the other places were going to charge a pretty penny just to look at it. So what first sold me to this place was the fact that they do free diagnosis. And this applies to anything you bring in. I kinda already had an idea that maybe the motherboard was shot on my laptop, or that's what everyone was telling me, and that I would have to get a new computer. But I brought it into this place and within a couple of days they told me that my problem was fixable. But if it wasn't fixable, they we're ready to trade my laptop in for something that would work. Upon further diagnosis, it was discovered that my screen was bad and I had spyware upon my computer. For $160 they replaced the dc power port, replaced my screen, cleaned out my computer and tested all the other devices I had. Plus, these people were very patient with me. They had my computer fixed and ready for pick up almost a week after I dropped it off, but I could come get it until three weeks later. So they kept it on standby until I was eventually able to come back for it. read more

They have been at this location for many years, it seems they're doing something right- even though you couldn't tell by the reviews. My personal experience was simple and painless. My husband dropped his iPhone (2nd time in a month)... and we found this little spot that does repairs to iPads, iPhones, laptops, towers, etc. The owner took care of us and was kind, business-like, and did exactly what he said he would do. I am a Professional DJ in today's music world. My hard drive got corrupted somehow (maybe moisture but honestly my laptop flew across stage). I have my music backed up until May of this year but there was a lot of other things I wanted to retrieve from my HD. Nobody I knew could get it revived. Computer World is near my brother-in-law's house so I gave it a shot. Brian, the owner and operator of Computer World was so nice and helpful. Not only was he able to retrieve all my data of my HD, he also fixed up the fan, hooked me up with a new HD, and only took a day. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. I then went back to put some more memory in my wife's laptop. He said it was easy to do and even showed me how to install it in case I wanted to do it on my own in the future. What a great guy and the customer service is fantastic. He also sells used laptops and ipads that he fixes up and they work brand new. I bought my wife an ipad too. I really appreciated their skill and quickness. Our 5 year old laptop screen was having some display challenges. They were able to bring it in the same day and replace it quickly. It turned out that the new LCD screen they used in the replacement couldn't achieve the same high resolution as the original screen, which was an issue as my son games on this laptop. When I called about it, they were incredibly responsive, inviting us to bring it back in and replacing the screen again, very quickly, so that we could get our original resolution, all at no extra cost! Recently, me and my fiance went in to this establishment because I heard that this computer repair shop also orders & sells wedding invitations. It was a horrible experience! Details: The first time that we went in and decided on a wedding card design, "Brian" (according to his business cards) informed us that we couldn't place an order until we had an exact idea as to how many cards we wanted to order, which was understandable. A few days later we went in with the knowledge of knowing how many cards to order. We patiently waited for about 10 minutes, and he walked over and asked us if we had an idea what exactly we wanted to write in the card. We had a general idea as to what kind of card we wanted to order, but we needed some assistance from him. After we told him that, "Brian" was eager to make us go back home and figure out exactly what to write instead of offering to show us his templates and examples of words to write inside the card. We weren't happy about that because he initially promised us to provide examples & that he would assist us more with the cards this next time that we came in. He was anxious to get back to his other customers that were there for computer repairs. So to get rid of us quickly, he scribbled our names across new order form, wrote some card details down and told us there will be an additional $90 fee for printing fee on-top of the price we were paying for the cards themselves. Me and fiance were confused as to why he wanted to charge us the $90 additional fee, but we initially agreed b/c we were running out of time. After putting down a deposit and leaving the establishment, we realized shortly later that night that he was trying to overcharge us with that additional fee. The very next day, I went in and luckily was able to get our deposit back after he and I verbally sparred back and forth about the reason why my fiance and I didn't want to do business with him. He basically told us that we wasted his time, even though HE wasted our time by making us come in twice without wanting to properly assist us. Our overall impression wasn't too good of Computer World because "Brian" had this cocky attitude about him. I recognized his ethnic background and wanted to be respectful, so I greeted & spoke to him half the time in his native tongue, but I guess he thought it would be cooler to respond in English when I would speak in his native language. His computer shop is a little messy and he's lucky if no one trips over the random stuff on his store floor. The store has a musty smell. This gentlemen in his 40's needs to learn how to communicate clearly and learn basic customer service skills. Furthermore, he needs to know how to be kinder to his customers and not insult them. "Brian" needs to learn how to take responsibility of his mistakes instead of blaming his customers. He speaks English with an accent and ends almost every sentence with the phrase "my friend", and unfortunately he didn't treated us, his customers, as friends. read more
