I ordered a brand new Asus Strix GL502VS from CUKUSA on 09/07/2016 for a great price. I ordered it stock without any upgrades at the time then anxiously waited. Since he computer was a brand new model that was just hitting the market, I kind of figured it might take a minute but that was fine. I'm in the Army, so right after I ordered I went on a training exercise for over two weeks, and expected the computer to be there when I got back. After almost two weeks, while I was in the field, I still hadn't seen much movement according to the site, I tried contacting them via their online Contact Us link but wasn't getting a response. I'd had an email from the support side and shot them an email from there and got an instant response. It turns out there is an issue that they were having receiving contacts from certain email addresses (I put in my Yahoo email first, then communicated with them after that through my iCloud iPhone email). They immediately apologized for the inconvenience and ensured that my order was promptly pushed forward (thanks Tyler!). When I got my computer, there were some deficiencies however. I knew since I'd ordered it stock, it was nothing on CUKUSA, so I contacted them again via the Support email I'd been using. They tried to help me resolve the issue but unfortunately it was just a defect with that particular computer (I've read in other places of similar issues with that particular model). I let them know that I wanted to return it. I loved the computer and wanted the same one, but obviously one free of defect. That, and because of the constant contact, I intended to place another order again from CUKUSA, but shelled out some bucks for an upgraded SSD, so at least then they could see if there would be any issues. After getting my refund, I did exactly that, and it's going to arrive at my house today. My experience with them has been really great (thanks Tyler and Todd!) and they have really gone out of their way to ensure that this customer was fully satisfied. I would definitely order from CUKUSA again when I'm ready for another computer! (Edit: Just wanted to add too that all this was taking place when Hurricane Matthew was tearing up the East Coast as well. I'm not sure about why some have had bad experiences, but I'd also like to point out that despite my frustration at the situation, I didn't get nasty or anything. I ordered a prebuilt pc though this company back in winter of '21. I was surprised by the appearance of this build due to its lack of airflow and small case. Under closer inspection I noticed that name brand parts were used on the big stuff like an asus gpu, Intel cpu and msi motherboard. But the reason I have to give a bad review is because they built a pcie 3.0 motherboard in with a 3070 ti which is supposed to be pcie 4.0. That being said, my gpu is very much bottlenecked by my motherboard which is causing me to need to upgrade my parts all over again, I also need a new case because my gpu, cpu and psu can't breathe. I had even called customer support before the computer had arrived to see what brand of parts they were building for me. After giving my order number and info on my computer customization through the website, the man told me he did not know where to look for this information. I do not recommend this company to build a computer for you. They do not know gaming pc's. read more

Purchased an HP Omen 15t gaming laptop from them (ckusa.com) and chose to upgrade to 32 GB ram and 256 GB SSD. They responded promptly via email when I had questions about what brand the SSD was. The price on their website was great and better than on Amazon. Laptop was shipped on time and works perfectly fine. One area of improvement would be to list the actual parts on their website (e.g. if it's an SSD, name the brand and type). So far I'm happy, but if I experience any problems, I'll post an update. read more

Bought this computer brand new for almost $3300 after taxes. From unboxing it crashed then after trying to update everything still no success. Now i'm having to wait in a repair que after being with a broken computer for 2 weeks to wait for my computer. When i asked if i could be move to a priority since they sent me a 3k metal box. I was told i have to wait for all the current orders to go out and then a repair que. Would not recommend to anyone have been devastated waiting for this computer i saved for so long for. The computer my husband bought seems to working just fine but issue is with the business itself. So we ordered at Christmas time and we knew it would take a little longer (it originally said arriving 27th of December) That wasn't a big deal though because it wasn't a gift. The issue we had was that it was ordered on the 10th of December, about a week later my bank said the transaction was pending then all of a sudden it wasn't and the money wasn't taken out. Very weird but according to them there must have been a glitch in the system but ok not a huge deal. The problem we had was trying to contact them sending numerous emails and nothing. They took our money on the 23rd but when we tried to track it all it said was a label was made it. Email after email and no response. On the day our package was supposed to arrive it now said January 7th the new arrival date yet still no response. We had paid for the expedited shipping and when I looked at the tracking information it said it was being sent ground. Maybe it was an innocent mistake or maybe they were trying to pull fast one. So we continued to send emails trying to figure out what was going on, still no response. Finally I was able to talk to someone and they said they had to wait on a part but they didn't bother to tell us that and why did they make the label and take our money if it wasn't ready to go out. Makes no sense to me. The guy I spoke with was supposed to have his manager call me but surprise surprise he never called. The package was shipped later that night and it arrived via ground on the 7th almost a month later. I did receive an email apologizing for the inconvenience and because we had to wait so long they refunded the expedited shipping cost. They must think we are stupid! They made it seem like they did us a favor for refundeding it when in reality they never sent it expedited like we paid for. This is just poor customer service and we will never buy from them again nor would we ever recommend them to anyone! read more

I purchase a computer from www.CUKUSA.com on 5/30/16, my card was charged 6/1/16, note they called on 6/1/16 to verify card information. Received no updates whatsoever after that, I called persistently on 6/3/16, sent several emails but no response. I called several times on 6/6/16 also with no response, they finally decided to give me a call back on 6/6/16 in the afternoon only to inform the computer I ordered a week ago was not in stock. Any reliable company would not have unavailable items listed on their website, if the item some how slipped the cracks and did not get removed for whatever reason you would think a reliable company would contact you immediately prior to charging your card to inform you that the item is not in stock. CLEARLY Computer Upgrade King is not a relaible company. I read many negative reviews but decided to give them a try due to low pricing. The price was great, service responded quickly to a minor problem I had. PC is made with quality components. The unnamed m.2 SSD, for example, turned out to be a Samsung 950. I am highly, highly disappointed with your product and your lack of customer service. My "replacement" computer arrived today, and is no better than the first one. This one will turn on, but the computer will not under any circumstances connect with any of my 3 monitors. There is something defective making it impossible for data to be sent to the monitor. Amazon can't help me because of your return policy. It is not my fault that you send out inferior products. I want a computer that works and can't get one now because I have to wait until I can ship this 2nd faulty computer back to you. When I reached out for help with the first one, I didn't get an immediate response. Same with this one, I won't be able to get any help from you until Monday at the earliest. I work a full time job. It'd be nice if you were staffed well enough to help on evenings and weekends, because your current hours do me no good. I've learned my lesson, I will only buy from brick & mortar retailers from now on, especially for something as delicate as a computer. My poor son, who saved up his money diligently for months so that he could purchase this item, is laying here on the couch in tears. Ordered a laptop off NewEgg Marketplace from CUKUSA. Everything worked well and it was an amazing price, until 2 months ago. There was some sort of fault in the motherboard which caused the machine to essentially fry. Now, I never buy anything without a warranty, and the listing on NewEgg plainly stated that it came with a 1 year hardware warranty on it. So I shrugged it off knowing these things happen and began the warranty process. I contacted CUKUSA and was told that it was a manufacturer's warranty and I would need to contact them (Clevo) for an RMA. Again no issue with me, so I asked what the contact info was and I was only given a link to Clevo's site. After calling every number on there, not only did I not receive an answer, but there was no automated system to deal with incoming calls.... The phone just rang for about 2 minutes then the line dropped. So I shot them an email, never had a response. Went to CUKUSA about this and they said "We're sorry, but since its a manufacturers warranty you the customer will have to get in contact with Clevo."...... I explained what happened and was give that exact same response for the 3rd time. I tried to be polite and explain that if they had some form of contact with Clevo that I could be directed to, I would be more than happy to handle it from there, which again (4th time) I got the same response. Now fed up, I went to NewEgg to handle it. Essentially its been 5 weeks and the case is STILL open. If this thing isn't resolved by the time the warranty is up, which is now soon, I will be filing a BBB claim against CUKUSA, and regardless of the outcome I will never be using them again for anything. read more

I'm thoroughly impressed by CUK. I found an amazing deal on a custom Stratos Z370 machine, and couldn't be happier. I ordered the dual GTX 1080ti SLI setup, and pretty much got the entire computer for the current going rate of just the two graphics cards. My first impression is that the computer arrived very well packaged. They even used tamper-proof tape on the outer box. All original manuals from all of the components were included, as well as spare cables, etc. A nice touch was a sheet that was signed by the technician who put it together, along with checks and a signature by a separate Quality Control person. The computer itself is stunning, and you can tell they spent the time to pay attention to the smallest details - all of the cables are neatly tucked away, all of the tiny screws are tightened properly and not stripped or scratched anywhere, etc. The case itself is beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's entirely made of metal and glass! That's right, not plexiglass but real glass that is slightly tinted, and it looks amazing. Perhaps most importantly, they used very good components inside and matched the suppliers where possible. The motherboard is a higher-end MSI Z370, and the graphics cards are also MSI 1080ti's. Overall I think I got more than my money's worth, and CUK paid attention to every little detail in this build. I am very happy and would highly recommend them to anyone. One last little detail that I noticed - most of the bad reviews seem to be centered around some laptops that people bought from them through amazon... it seems like CUK might have just gotten their hands on a bad batch of laptops and got dinged heavily in the reviews as a result. And while in that instance they are a re-seller, when it comes to custom desktop builds they do all the work themselves, and it appears to be very high quality! read more

I ordered a gaming laptop from CUK for a good price. I would normally order from newegg but I didnt want to deal with the MiR which would have had the same laptop at a comparable price. Well on to the bad side, I ordered this laptop over a week ago and it has just been shipped today. The reason why it was shipped today is because it was not in stock but this was not listed on their website as being out of stock. I will receive the laptop 2 weeks from the order date which is crazy.They should of put rush or priority shipping to make up the delay but they did not. I'll know in a week if the laptop works and if it is good Ill add a star maybe. read more

Brought a set up from online and you see oh 1-5 days shipping cool. But then they don't tell you wait 1-3 days for processing where they call you to confirm which was 3 days later for me. Then email you saying waiting 30 days for a tracking number and than tell you oh we're sorry we're out of stock we can't make your set up you paid for and say wait until another shipment which took 5 business days cause they don't open on weekends. than they wanna be like oh we're putting your pc together which takes 30mins max even for a slow person took up to 4 days. and finally ships it taking 4 days to come so you're basically waiting basically 30 days I would never ever ever ever brought anything from this place if I knew how bad the online store was. read more

No proactive communication regarding status, but they did respond when asked. I would love to write a fantastic feedback, but I just cannot. Ordered a laptop (~$1200) with great configuration and price. I have read about the seller's stellar feedback, so having no reviews on this item before, I decided to take the risk and invest into this computer as my B-day gift. I am also a teacher and to prepare my online videos, I needed a better computer. So, I paid for this item on 5/11/15. It was advertised that ships within 6-10 days, so I said OK, I will have plenty of time to work on my videos. Then I saw that shipping label was created on 5/22/15 with a tracking number stating that I can expect it anywhere between 5/26/15 and 6/3/15. I anxiously kept checking every single day when it arrives and wanted to make sure that I am home (since signature was required), and the time of starting my class was fast approaching. It was yesterday, 6/1/15, when I realized that no advancement has happened since 5/22/15, and that was caused by nothing else but the seller (I blamed it on the long weekend first, then flooding that took place in the south, etc.). I contacted them on 6/1/15, they replied on 6/2/15 stating that the tracking information was entered by mistake (sorry, we all know what it means...), and that the 500 SSD will arrive on Friday (6/5/15!), and it "if the wait has been too long" they can cancel the order, so I cancelled. Yeap. This is how simple and easy was for them. Just cancel it! Never mind guys that people and their work might depend on you! What can I expect from a seller that has not taken any step to notify the buyer about the delay? What can I expect from a seller who under false pretension created a shipping label when the item was not even built yet, just to satisfy the description requirement that the item is shipped within 6-10 days? This is misleading business practice. My head is livid, because I am behind my work, and now I have to wait days to get back my money and purchase a new one. From another seller. More time lost. I understand that this is not the most expensive computer on the Earth (hence still not Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing!), but not the cheapest one either. Sadly, not all buyers comes forward with the negative feedback, and if there is, a bad feedback can be edited later after negotiation with sellers. IMHO, it should not be allowed. I did not have many issues before with sellers, but when I had, we were able to work out with the satisfaction of both parties. And this company just lets people to cancel. I don't think they are interested in customer retention, or doing a great business with anyone. Sorry, as I wrote before, my head is living (as I have now less than one month left to work), and I am very disappointed. I won an ebay auction of a laptop from these guys in Virginia. Thought it was a great deal until I went to pay for the item. All of a sudden California sales tax of 9% is added. Whuut? I checked the listing again and it still says the item location is Virginia. I contacted the seller and was informed they have warehouses in 7 states including California. I just find it funky that a small seller on ebay claims they have locations in 7 states. What a bogus claim to suck up extra revenues from unsuspecting customers. read more

Since the 1st time I shipped my laptop back to CUK, I've experienced all of the same issues that I have since the day I 1st booted up my brand new out of the box laptop. I've paid to have it shipped back twice now. I've been without my laptop for a month at this point while they have conducted tests. The SSD has been replaced. The RAM turned out to be no good and was replaced and the same problems persisted despite whatever stress tests were conducted. After shipping this laptop back a 2nd time they claim that there were no problems found through testing and as a result had the motherboard replaced. Stress tests were conducted again with no meaingful results. Next step was for ME to perform a factory reset on the laptop as a shot in the dark to address any possible OS issues. I don't know why that wasn't done while they had it in their hands the last time I shipped it back. I was told they didn't want to delete any necessary files, but I had already removed or backed all pertinent data to prepare for such an effort. If they had reached out to me to ask they would have known and could have gone forward with the reset. Here we are today. First day working on the laptop again and it's crashed within 10 minutes of use. CUK refuses to grant me a replacement machine or a credit towards a different option altogether. This is clearly a defective product and I'm stuck with it. I'm seriously disappointed in all of my wasted time and money. I'm currently waiting for a remote session so that I can spend more of my time trying to fix a broken machine that I bought brand new from Computer Upgrade Kings.
