If he worked at a funeral home he'd have been less helpful than the deceased. However, tonight at around 7-8 pm, on 8/12/2026, I had a wonderful experience. All my questions and needs were tended to in a professional, efficient, friendly, attentive and timely manner. I believe in taking the time to recognize when an employee goes above and beyond, especially when no one is looking. Alyssa was the staffer's name and she was awesome! So much so that's it's very difficult to envision her as on the same "team" as that other employee. I hope Alyssa's boss reads this. She needs to be recognized and rewarded immediately!!!

Wanted to charge me $99.99, so I told them Massachusetts consumer law requires stores to sell at lowest advertised price, they said someone could have moved it. I told them it doesn't matter because you're not the one who can decide that. Actually in Massachusetts the only one who can decide that is a judge ( I called the attorney general hotline and that's bar for bar what they told me.) Anyways that doesn't matter cause I told them they could check the cameras and see that I can upon it already there. Anyways, Orville lied to me about that, said he was the only manager on shift I could speak too. Then basically told me that there was no resolution for me besides illegally charging me the $99.99. So here we are, someone on the autistic spectrum with a HUGE anxiety disorder having to get a resolution from the AG. Would love it if the store manager could call me to figure this out. As the way he made me feel was horrible and inexcusable. Protect your consumer rights people. If you don't, they'll get trampled on.

Long story short, they charged me $180 bucks and now my computer is as good as new. I'm actually kind of angry at myself for going to Geek Squad in the first place; I consider myself a fairly savvy consumer, and Geek Squad's conflict of interest is glaringly obvious. If you're told your computer is beyond repair while standing in a Best Buy, chances are you're going to buy your new computer at that Best Buy---instead of being satisfied with your piddling $180 for repairs they'd rather scam you into dropping 1K on a new computer instead.
