    My D.

I hesitated on writing this review because I was in shock for a while after this experience. I came here last summer and I was appalled to say the least. First thing I was asked was, "How long are you in the country for? You don't seem like you're from around here." I'm an American citizen, but that is irrelevant to the service I am requesting for my laptop. A week after the laptop was fixed it broke again. The next person who looked at my laptop said the previous person removed the screws and taped the parts together.

    Hp 230 fixed and working!

This place is great!!!! I kept getting blue screens on my pc. I called the shop, he said come right in. I left my pc over the weekend, he mounted things that were not mounted, he put thermal goo stuff on my graphics card and heat sink!!! And upgraded one of my ram sticks(that was the problem) and didn't charge me for the mounting or thermal goo stuff. Nor for the upgraded ram stick. And he charged less than his own quote!!!!! Definitely fast efficient and honest local business. If you're a goofy at computers like I am, please take ur pc to this dude!

I'm a fan, and I trust Matt Horon and his company implicitly. He's dug my machines out of the holes that I've managed to dig them into a number of times, always with a steady hand and straight-ahead counsel. He's one of those rare (these days) service providers that is more interested in what's good for his customers (maybe I should call the relationship one of clients?) than ringing up another invoice with an opp for an upsell on the side. Let's face it, most peeps don't go to shops like this for random visits, it's almost always due to a problem, at the worst time. I'm sure he's got his share of drama, but he keeps an even keel. Oh, and don't let his phone demeanor throw you, he's just a bit more binary than the average tan-bed salesperson, but that's what you want from someone in his position! Go there. Use them. They'll take good care of you and your toys!

Now I…read moredon't need to pay 2 arms and 2 legs for a new laptop in the middle of the 2026 rampocalypse. Daniel was able to replace a dead, swollen battery and a bad speaker, at a price which I considered reasonable, and with amazing speed (considering that those items are glued into the top case of the laptop). He told me which day he would be able to start the work, and arranged with me to bring it back in on that day. The work was completed exactly as promised, and I had it back in my hands before I even missed it. He also gave me some excellent advice. For example, this laptop has the famously flaky "butterfly" keyboard and it was typing double-letters. He was very clear, before starting the work, that the job to replace the keyboard was difficult and risky (again, because it's glued into the top case). It's hard to source a good keyboard, and might result in a keyboard that would just go flaky again. So he just stuck with the agreed-upon battery and speaker fixes. (Later, it turns out that I was able to replace the individual flaky key switches myself without having to remove the keyboard at all.) His most valuable advice was to teach me about the existence of a third-party tool ("OCLP") which would allow me to install OS 13 onto the laptop even though Apple only allows OS 12 on it. After getting the laptop back from the battery replacement, I tried it, and it's working great on OS 13 now. This was important and well-timed advice, because Chrome is going to stop releasing updates for OS 12 this month. And while I was in the shop talking to him, he was multitasking and helping other customers, too. He matter-of-factly fixed a bad audio driver on one lady's Windows laptop as they stood there at the counter. I'm very impressed and satisfied with the work. It's like having a new laptop again. So if you need your laptop repaired, definitiely bring it in and have him give you an estimate. I wish I had done it sooner.

Given the fentanyl and crime rate in the area this extra level of safety reassures me. The store is always clean and well displayed and the staff are knowledgeable. I think this store attracts a specific personality type and I noticed that some staff focus more on the specs of an item rather than focusing on the customer. It's hit or miss. Having come from sales and the service industry, I think that the emotional iq aspect could improve. I'm not giving this location a bad rating. I hope that my feedback can serve as a learning opportunity if you want. For example, I often have to find an associate to find something if there isn't one at the front by security. Based on my recent experience with Best Buy, I foresee that coming. I intended to purchase a Bose Smart Soundbar at the Northgate Seattle Best Buy. I called Best Buy, only to be connected to a completely frustrating and useless AI assistant. It took several requests by me, and several unrelated responses by AI, to finally speak with a human being. I asked that human if a particular model of the sound bar was available, on display, and set up for listening before making a purchase at the store. I was assured that the store had the sound bar set up. I asked the customer "service" representative if she was absolutely certain because I didn't want to drive 15 miles to get there and find out the product wasn't available or set up for demonstration. I was assured it was. When I got to the Northgate Best Buy I found that there wasn't a display model set up. The model in which I was interested was sitting in box on the shelf. I asked the sales person how difficult the item was to set up. "Really easy!" I asked if it could be set up so that I could listen to it before purchasing. The answer was "no." I was encouraged by the manager to buy one of several other models that were set up. When I explained that I was told by customer "service" that the sound bar WAS set up for demo, the in-store staff told me the call center has NO connection whatsoever to the stores. When I asked if the store had a direct number I could call in the future I was told "no." There's only the call center. That would explain why the call center rep sounded like she was based in India. The lack of customer support is appalling. The inability to speak with a store employee by phone is equally appalling. I decided to purchase the sound bar I want from another retailer on line. If Best Buy believes that its customers don't need customer service, then the retail chain doesn't need my business.

This should have tipped off the clerk that I was not tech savvy. As I suspect many of there customers are not. She told me the toggle was under the mouse. I got the set home and did not see a toggle under the mouse (latter I found out she was saying dongle). I looked in the battery chambers of both the keyboard and mouse and did not see it. I called the them and was told to check the battery chambers of both the keyboard and mouse and once again I didn't see it. I was told that this would be a once in a lifetime that a chip was not with the keyboard. I brought the unit in and we looked in the keyboard battery area next. Then we looked we looked at the mouse and they pointed out a built in dongle compartment in the battery chamber of the mouse. I was never told there could be a built in compartment when I was in the store or later on the phone. I have since find some YouTube videos that explain where to find the dongle. This tells me I'm not that only one to have trouble finding it.

It was a University Book Store exclusive printed/embroidered on '47 brand Hat. There is a reason I am telling this story though! While I was there, I looked around and see what kind of merchandises they were selling and I noticed that they have done collaboration with quality brands such as Lululemon, Champion (reverse Weave), Adidas, '47 Brand, New Era, etc. Clearly, whoever is in charge of designing the fan gear here knows what they are doing.
