I found Computer Janitor on YELP and based on reviews, I called Rodney to schedule an appointment to set up new computers for both my parents and myself. I explained to him that I really was interested in having my Mom comfortable with a new machine and that he spend the needed time to accomplish that. I also informed him that my computer had an abundance of music and digital photos and that would take some time to transfer from the old computer. Rodney spend the entire morning at my parents home and was extremely helpful and patient with my Mom. In addition, he gladly returned the next day to help my Mom convert over some old files so she could access them from the new computer. In the afternoon, Rodney came to my home to work on my computer and didn't leave until late in the evening until all the transfers were completed. He also returned the next morning to finish up installing the virus protection and other assorted programs. For the level of service he provided, I felt his rates were extremely fair. I have been sitting here for days trying to come up with a special YELP review for Rodney. After reading the 68 outstanding yelp reviews how does one begin? Let me start with my favorite review: "On the 8th day, God created Rodney. He is the computer savior. If you have problems with your computer, contact this guy first." I contacted Rodney over a year ago and was impressed with him then but for whatever reason never followed up. I chose to stay local and to bring my computer in to a place of work rather than someone into my home. At the time I just was not sure about switching because I was comfortable with the local person and I do not like change much. Well folks I was dead wrong. The reason I finally got back to Rodney was pain. Ergonomic pain to be exact. I needed someone to recreate my workplace. I was having major pain affecting my neck and lower back. I remembered Rodney and called him for help. Fast FORWARD to the Need -The goals was to get my business desktop and personnel desktop to share a common monitor and to do that with a switch of a button. I plan on retiring next year and did not want to 2 monitors but needed a solution to switch back and forth using ONE monitor utilizing the same ergonomic setup. Folks I cannot tell you how much time Rodney gave me while I shopped for all the pieces I needed - phone, texts hours of help without asking for a cent. Quite frankly, in the future I would just have him do my shopping it is that easy and that fair in the pricing. I finally picked up everything at Central Computers in Pleasanton, a suggestion from Rodney. His first visit was probably 3 hours. We had problems but he knew what was needed to resolve the issue and off he went to get a few additional items. In the meantime, I started having problems with my new monitor so in between all of that he came back tested my new monitor, gave me a replacement and took the other one back to Central Computers. Rodney told me that when the new Monitor came in that I should tell Central Computer to test for the problem before I left the store. Well I never had to go back because Rodney called me in less than a week from Central Computers as he was there for something else and had them test my new computer. He brought it back to my home that day and set it up. BINGO it all worked AND then after all that I had some resolution problems (my problem) not his, but back he came to resolve it for me asking nothing except to make sure it worked for me. I do not think there is much more that I can say about this man. Will you find anything like this in the Bay Area--NO. I was "very" impressed with Rodney. First, he responded to my Quote Request with a direct message response containing "useful information" about my PC problem... NOT the typical reply of "Call me and let's chat" or "You'll need to bring it in".
