A negative score would rate my experience better!
Well, as much as it pains me to write bad reviews, it's necessary for the everyday hard working people like you know potentially what you may walk into. First, I must preference that this location has many options of new/used products to choose from as well as provide great work as it pertains to repairs for your devices. I have bought over the past 4 years specifically this location as well as received technical support for all my devices. I recently visited the shop around a week ago to get a laptop looked into for a virus cleaning. When I pulled up to the location the owner was pulling up as well. We both got out of our vehicles at the same time. (Strike 1) I was not greeted or acknowledge but hey to me, I'm not that big of a stickler because I know what I'm coming to get done and much was necessary but will go a long way for an customer experience. When I got into the store, I proceeded with sharing my concerns with my computer as well as interest in a keyboard. (Strike 2) Now, while I was speaking to the owner, he proceeded to "work" as he later called it instead of stopping "work" to tend to "his customer". I sensed the owner flustered, agitated, and a bit under stress due to the perspiration I noticed on his face so I asked politely, is everything ok, which at this point his back was turned to me still "working". He said everything was ok, I'm just busy so I said to myself, hey he's human, we all are entitled to a rough day but things got more ugly with my experience. Again, as mentioned due to the products that are refurbished and resold, I started looking at other items. My 7 yr. old needs a personal tablet for school and I found a pretty decent one with no information so unfortunately for me I had to ask the owner more questions and his frustrations went through the roof. At this point, I was very upset and felt like why am I wasting my time and money with someone who hasn't even acknowledge me since walking into the door and showing me no respect my attending to my needs as a customer in his store. When I brought my concerns as a last chance gesture for him to make it right for my comfort (Strike 3) he said what do you want me to do, I'm busy working! At that point I realized he just ruined a 4 year committed customer whom might I add has 3 referrals purchase items and get repair work done as well whom may also have referred their family and friends so on and so forth. I have received a commitment from my personal referrals never to walk foot in that hoarded space again. I'm sure in all Compu-Tech may have lost 4-10 customers with the lack of empathy, compassion, respect, and customer service that this owner has.
There is a young white male who works there whom is much better at handling customer service, but unfortunately he was present in my moment to remedy or mediate the experience. I thought I would give it a shot on his accord and my previous experience with him but in the end, he's just an employee- The owner is the brand! My money will get better results elsewhere.
That elsewhere is right across the street on the side of Lee's Chicken, there's a shop named Integration Computers. The owner there goes by the name Mike, and I've worked with him in the past before as well. HIs approach to customer satisfaction aligns with my personal viewpoints of exceeding a customer's expectation.
I can't tell you where to spend your dollars, but I can provide you with my experience. Don't be that person that reads this, then go spend your dollars are time with Compu-Tech and find out damn, I should listen to that review.
Be Blessed,
