This is the third time I could write a 5-star review for Computer Solutions in Sunset Hill. The 1st time was years ago when I was living in the country taking care of a family member. My computer was having problems, and I couldn't leave home. Someone drove all the way to where I lived and repaired my computer in a single visit. I was so relieved since I really depended on my computer. The 2nd time was last year when a different computer (a very heavy 27" iMac) needed to go into the shop for repair. There's no way I could have carried the computer, so someone from Computer Solutions came and picked up the iMac and took it to the shop for repair and afterwards returned it. Again, such a relief! The 3rd time was last week. My computer had crashed, and not only was I facing the loss of my computer but, more importantly 10 years of precious data. I had conferred with Apple tech by phone, and they were unable to do anything. I brought my machine to Computer Solutions, and in a very short time they were able to repair my computer and thus preserve all of my data. It felt like a miracle, and I was thrilled. My special thanks to Michael who was so knowledgeable, friendly and reassuring. The cost of the repair was much less than I had anticipated and, best of all, my computer was up and running. I have always needed assistance when I purchase a new computer and its associated gear. I want help appraising what I need and what tech best fits my needs. I want help getting the new system up and running (which includes transferring files and cleaning up directories). I want coaching as to best operational practices. I have been an Apple/Mac guy since the mid-80's. I still am but when the Apple Stores dropped their genius bars the services I listed above went away. Apples On Line and Phone assistance remains the best but the Apple Stores are little more than showrooms now with a sales staff. Other places sell Apples/Macs but the competency of their staffs is always questionable. Several of the more trustworthy companies are long gone. I got all the help I asked for at Computer Solutions. More importantly one of their staff spent significant time with me identifying my needs and then guided me through the options that would address those needs. I was up and running with a MacBook Air in less that 24 hours after a short afternoon at their shop working with that same staff member who quickly brought the new computer AND me up to speed. That staff member, Andrew Bader, guided me SO Well! This has been the best experience with a new computer that I have ever had. A bonus.....he helped me clean up my old computer making it an ongoing asset. I will go to them for all of my computer needs. Unfortunately, Apples are such good machines that they last for a long time so my future business with Computer Solutions is likely limited BUT I can recommend them to others for overall excellence. read more

Originally found this place when Apple was replacing phone batteries. A few years later was having an issue with my Macbook and decided to bring it here. When I brought it in they took a look and saw that it likely had some spyware issues. Left them with the computer and they got it fixed quickly. Customer service was great, they took the time to explain what was wrong and what they did to fix it. Even made sure it was in working order before I left. Would definitely recommend and will return, hopefully not for a while though ;) read more

If you are looking for a company to solve computer or wireless issues, call Computer Solutions. After a couple of experiences, I am a happy customer. Initially, Computer Solutions was called regarding wireless issues at home. The local cable company was unable to provide consistent help after several visits, but a tech from Computer Solutions had a resolution in less than two hours. I subsequently had issues with my PC. A service company was called and after a couple of hours working on it, made no progress. I was charged for the service call, and told they would do some research on my problem. After a few weeks there were no answers. As a small business owner, an operable PC is vital. I called Computer Solutions at 9:00 on a Monday morning and had a representative on site by noon. By 1:15 my PC was working like new. When you have a problem, make Computer Solutions your first call Sales Rep Andrew Bader will do whatever he can to help you out. read more

This authorized Apple repair station is tucked away in old Webster. They do a great job here for both warranty and non warranty Apple repair. They installed a new drive in my old laptop that I supplied, and did a great job without asking were the new drive came from. they also do the work in a very timely manner, so this is a great alternative to the Apple store. read more

Spilled coffee in keyboard of my LAPTOP. The customer service I received was the best ever.....and the technical support was just amazing. How they managed to save all of my data is like a miracle to me. The cost was such I had them recheck because I thought it would be at least double what I was charged. NEVER going any place else. I couldn't have been happier with my experience! their team was able to recover my data from my failed drive from a late 2011 15" MacBook Pro (which of course I hadn't backed up as recently as I should have), put in a new solid state hard drive, and had me back up an running at a very reasonable price. I was most worried about my photo library, since I take tons of pictures of my kids. it's a bit of a unsettling feeling when you think that all the work you put in for years might be compromised. all the anxiety melted away, though, once I got the phone call informing me that they were able to recover all the data. these guys are awesome, and I would definitely recommend going straight to them and skipping the Genius Bar. read more

After being disappointed by not being able to get macbook keyboard replaced through the apple program due to liquid damage-I was further saddened by a diagnostic fee. After expressing my frustrations(that were really my own), I was contacted and asked what could be done to better my experience. My wife and I went up to get her phone looked at for a possible battery replacement. They said over the phone to come up Monday through Friday 8-6 and they could look at it and they would need to order a battery. Then we would need to make an appointment to have it installed. Go up there at 5:50 and the 3 people there would not look at it because they were closing soon and didn't have time and to come up anytime between 8-6 and they could look at it. What? My iMac 27" late 2009 was running slow and not keeping up with the programs in my Adobe Creative Suite. I did not want to buy a new computer at this time. I was very pleased with some warranty work done previously by Computer Solutions, so I contacted Nick to see if they could install a hybrid/ssd type drive in addition to my regular hard drive. My iMac is now lightning fast and I should be able to go another couple of years with my current configuration. The staff is very professional and the service was outstanding. read more
