Anyway, she somehow broke the molded piece where you insert your power cord. No idea how she did that, didn't even know it was something you could break, but there you are, it's The Queen. Anyway we took her computer in to Chat Tech Solutions to see if they could fix it, The office is small but so cute. Very open space and lots of natural light. The gentleman who was working there was very pleasant and offered us beverages while he assessed the damage to the computer. He called someone because he was not sure if the repair could be done and it turns out, they do not do that type of repair because it requires soldering. However he was kind enough to recommend another place of business, which is where we ended up going to get the repair done. For me that shows a wonderful regard for taking care of the customer, even though they did not make the sale. I will definitely consider them for other work that they can take care.

I bought it in and explained the issues. Three days later, they called me and said it was ready to pick up. When I brought it home, it worked like a gem. I can honestly say I've had no issues since that time. The work they did was amazing and they even threw in a free mouse at the time because they were worried the one sent to me by the manufacturer was adding to some problems. As proof of what I'm sharing, here's the service sticker atop my computer. Note the date. Simply put, they are miracle workers. Yeah, you may have to wait a few days but it's well worth it!!!

One thing I would say to anyone bringing in electronics is to be clear about your expectations and what you want done. Once we were on the same page, the team here was extremely respectful and easy to work with. They installed the battery accessory I brought with me, carefully stabilized the housing and arm with epoxy, and made sure it had plenty of time to cure before sending me home with it. The headset now feels solid again and works just the way I hoped it would. What I appreciated most was that they were willing to work toward a practical solution instead of pushing an expensive full replacement. A lot of repair shops try to upsell or turn small problems into big bills, but that was not my experience here at all. Friendly, professional, and fair. I'm very happy with how everything turned out and would gladly recommend them.

HE'S WORTH DRIVING TO NO MATTER WHERE YOU RESIDE IN CHICAGO. I have a beautiful hp media notebook. It was screwed up from bugs and software that needed to be setup from the day I bought it. The owner reinstalled windows 7 for me. He didn't have my printer. Anyway it was done in 24 hours. The virus(s) were gone. Everything works better than ever. The unexplained idiocyncricies are gone. No more blank paper running out of the printer. He seet up Wiindows (Micorsoft's) Fax & Scan. Is that feature wonderful. Everything I scan can be forwarded to your emails archives and be saved forever. That prevents loosing your files if there was a crash. He charged me $75. I have no more hang ups, stalls. I no longer have to clean the browser. I thought I was a pretty good at maintaining my p.c. Well I have nothing to maintain anymore. It's all done for me. I used to waste hours with emptying the files, cookies, defraging and disk cleaning. The printer was always screwed up. 3 programs would want to open when I scanned something. This must be my 5th p.c. All came screwed up from day 1. God forbid if I ever have to puchase another, I'm bringing it to him before I take it home. He gave me a quote, an estimate on time of repairs and everything worked out wonderfully. I did mention to him that I had a large screen TV at home which didn't work, so he gave me the number of a friend who would come to my home and take a look. The guy's name is Roman Szarek. I contacted him the first time during winter in 2014, and eventually he came over to the house to look at the TV. I had already purchased a lamp for the TV, but it wasn't working, so Szarek took the TV home and promised it would be repaired as soon as possible. In December of 2014I also had a problem with my dryer, whose drum wouldn't turn any more. Roman indicated he knew how to fix such problems because he used to be a service technician. He did replace the belt around the drum, for $80 (2 hrs of work). I was going to have him repair the DOG EARS on a Kenmore Washer I have in the basement, but because he didn't fix my TV within the promised time, I didn't have him work on that. When I would call him, he would say that he had ordered parts from All Pro TV parts in Georgia and one part was defective; he claimed he had trouble getting reimbursed for the defective parts. So he had to order a Color Wheel from another place, and he indicated that would cost $110 dollars and would take about 3-4 weeks to deliver. He indicated fixing the TV would cost me $250 dollars. Well weeks and months went by and Roman never contacted me again regarding the TV, or whether it was useless and not cost-effective to repair it. So he kept my new lamp which cost me about $50, and the huge 55" TV. It is now 5-5-16 and he has never again called to tell me my TV is fixed. I might as well consider it a loss. But if you get a recommendation from One Roman to the other, DON'T USE HIM.... you now know what he is.

Actually I was going in for an estimate but he immediately started working working on the usb ports and they just needed adjusting. He fixed them with TWEEZERS. Then I went ahead and allowed them to install windows 10. They charge $60 for labor. The light skinned guy was very professional and persuasive. I ended up spending $140 last week. They definitely knows about computers. I bought a $400 desktop computer from the Dell company. I would NEVER buy anymore of their products ever again!!!!! I had to get a hard drive replaced after two or three months of trying to find out what the issue was because Dell did not help me AT ALL. Then they sent me a broke hard drive. The hard drive needed Windows reinstalled. It took a month for that to happen. The windows was not activated. Dell did not help me on that. They kept sending me the wrong recovery flash drives to install windows 8. Then told me that they didn't know why my windows was not activated or the product key was not working so I had to buy another one. THEIR FAVORITE SAYING IS WE CANT HELP BECAUSE YOUR WARRANTY IS OUT OF DATE!!!! Even if you contacted them and asked them how to do one simple thing on your computer they would not help. Go onto the dell's facebook page and you will see how many people have issues with their systems.

He asked me a few questions and then told me how I could go about fixing the problem by getting an inexpensive device from a computer store. Rather than taking my computer and doing a fairly expensive fix the man helped me get my problem fixed in less than 30 minutes for $30. I will 100% use Triple Check Techs for all of my computer repairs in the future.

It sounds like the business is run out of the various techs' houses; they prefer to pick up your computer and the fee for doing so ($69) is applied to the service. Tim came by a little later than he'd said (well, it was a Saturday) and was polite and professional. He called Monday with a price; computer was repaired the next day and dropped off where I work. There's a 30-day warranty for most work. Included in the $190 or so price: removing a virus, providing advice on how I got it, a reminder that our internet provider gives customers free antivirus software, a complimentary data backup, and pickup/dropoff. Hope I won't be back soon, but I'll call these folks again if I have troubles. Checks and credit cards OK.
