Component Coffee Lab is a must-try if you're in Visalia! My dad and I visited and tried the Sweet Latte, which was absolutely delicious. I think the shop was a little understaffed (2 lattes took 15-20 minutes) but it's clear why this place is so popular. I'd love to come back and try their food items. read more

*a tad pricey. *quality drinks, food, and pastry *plenty of employees *great system *IMO don't like the vibe here. I'm sure I was the only non-lefty person in there. Seems highfalutin for just being a coffee shop, but that's more on the guests that the shop. I've read about inconsistencies with the burrito. One comment said it didn't have much sauce. I'm going to say mine had way too much. Everything else about it and the experience was good though. read more

A great mix of vegetarian and vegan options in an area where they're hard to find. Yes, they're busy - they're popular! Honestly surprised to visit Visalia and found such a charm! This coffee lab is nicer, better, and cooler than so many coffee shops in LA! We were just here for a road trip and looking for things to do and this popped up on google. Since I am a barista myself...I have to check it out. Can NOT believe the quality of their coffee and skills are very high! Honestly its higher quality than some coffee shops in LA! Especially in a town like this with more cows than human. They serve pourover, drip, espresso, and more! P.S. Pourover?!! Like so many coffee shops in LA don even do that cause they are not that into specialty coffee...this says a lot. I loved their oat milk latte and their chai latte. Lots of options for food and also options for alternative milks (oat or almond) I am also surprised that this is their only location. They ARE local! So 100% recommend you to visit here if you in Visalia! read more

The environment here is amazing! I came here on a Saturday morning and it was packed. The service was friendly and quick. I got the mocha coffee with a breakfast burrito. Fantastic Food/Coffee! We were staying in the area because we were doing multiple day trips to Sequoia National Park and King's Canyon. There's not a lot of breakfast places in downtown Visalia, but I'm sure glad this place was here. The coffee is roasted on site and freshly ground. Breakfast are made fresh to order. The place was so good that we came here multiple days for breakfast. It seems like a local favorite as there's always a line so come early. read more

I waited an hour and thirty minis for my food, left and noticed they didn't give me my Avocado toast, so I had to go back, then waited 20 more minutes for it. I get to my sister's and the Avocado was black. if any of you are in Hanford "where I live" hit up "Hola Cafecito" it's 100% better than the component, and cheaper, the food and coffee wasn't worth the $50 I spent. read more

I don't come here often. Only during weekends and holidays a little. Good coffee but service is still very 2015. Unkept employees with bad attitudes will keep me and friends/families from continuing to return though. Coming from the coffee and service world, get better at service or the $5 cup of coffee will tilt to being unjustified... again. read more

In the Central Valley of California, there's not a lot coffee wise. I mean, unless you like disgusting mass produced drive through options (shocker, not a fan) but this spot right here could compete with the best of them in a big city. Coffee is solid, conversation areas are great, plenty of table space if you've got homework to do. Let's not forget they have roasting on sight too. The atmosphere is so on point and it's tucked away in a quiet zone that sets it apart. Shade and greenery all around for hot days. The only potential downer is that they cut off when they serve their food. Totally understandable, but if you need a solid mid afternoon meal, your options with be pastries only. Not a dis, just something to know. ;) 10/10 would recommend. I will be a regular here. read more

I don't understand the hype with this place at all. The Service was good but the coffee was honestly one of the worst I've ever had. I got a vanilla latte and a matcha latte and both were so watered down. There was no coffee taste or matcha taste what so ever. The food was decent. I had the breakfast sandwich and burrito. I also got the blueberry poptart which has zero filling. It was all sugar bread. The almond croissant was good though. read more

Nowadays it's not easy to find a coffee shop that still caters to true coffee aficionados who want an espresso drink that's crafted to precise traditional standards. I was overjoyed when I found Component Coffee Lab in Visalia while visiting there recently. My beverage of choice is a cappuccino. Their preparation of my drink was perfect, with balanced proportions, and served at just the right temperature! They offer off street parking, and have both indoor and outdoor seating. I found the place quite comfortable to just sit and enjoy my drink. I was only in Visalia for a weekend, but managed two trips to their shop during my stay. On my second trip I walked out with a pound of their Stereo Mix beans. I was told these are the beans they use for their espresso. It's a medium level roast, which is just what I like. I've been using these beans for pour overs and can say this is a versatile roast, that's equally good in shots or as a pour over brew. I will definitely be stopping by their shop the next time I find myself in the neighborhood. read more

This place has a cute indie vibe. Avocado toast was good, but would order an extra poached egg. My kids liked the bagel sandwich and daughter loved the strawberry danish. The child's hot cocoa came with a little roasted marshmallow on a stick! All of our drinks were good. My husband was very sad about his breakfast burrito though. He did not like the chipotle crema (which had a sour taste) and said it was mostly potatoes with a little bit of egg and bacon. The fruit was fresh and a good mix: strawberries, bananas, apple, mandarin slices. Service was good, not over the top, but it was early and people were probably still waking up I'm guessing. I would go here again though and just not order the breakfast burrito. read more

Great service. Great ambiance. Excellent, well made 6oz cappuccino. We also got the watermelon lemonade and it was delicious. We sat outside on the patio and the kids enjoyed running around in the contained, shaded patio area and playing on the community piano. It was the perfect stop to get refreshments and stretch our legs on our road trip! We plan on visiting the Fresno location when we drive through there because we liked it so much. read more

This place gets a 5 for its staff. They have all been very nice. Honestly they seem like a happy bunch! Even when I messed up my own order and ordered something that I was allergic to. I asked them to change my order and without hesitation they were more than happy to help me out. They responded quick and professional. Also, I was surprised to learn they have breakfast options too. They have a simple menu. The breakfast burrito, the avocado toast, and the pastries were all great options. Strangely, the coffee here has disappointed multiple times. It feels awkward to say this mostly because they are technically a coffee shop. Particularly, the cold brew was just too bitter. I can't tell if it's the coffee they serve or how the way it's being brewed. I try to not be crazy about it but yall know your coffee has to be on point in the morning. So, I would go here for the ambiance and the simple breakfast options. Maybe try a coffee option other than the cold brew, since my experience has been not so great in the taste department with the coffee. Heck! Just try it out yourself and see if you like it. read more

I enjoyed the simplicity and clean lines of the interior. It's functional and cozy. I also enjoyed being able to check out their roasting setup while drinking my Colombian pour over. Ample seating both inside and out. The staff was very kind and our drinks came out quickly, even as the line grew right after we walked in. read more

Anyone visiting Visalia from SF and missing SF cafe vibes?!? Component coffee lab is a really nice cafe located in downtown Visalia and really has that hip SF coffee house vibe! We ordered the SWEET LATTE which has quite a bit of milk and cream to it, but to be honest I couldn't really taste the coffee flavor. Overall, it was a great drink but wasn't as strong as I had hoped it to be. If you're someone who prefers NOT to have bitter or stronger flavored coffee, this won't bother you. In regards to AMBIANCE, it's quite spacious, has outlets, and has big tables which makes it a great study place! I love how the walls are made of bricks! There's also plenty of succulents inside too, so this place also makes for a great coffee date too! :) read more

A trendy little coffee shop in this small town and surprisingly serving up great coffee. They have a cute little outdoor area with water misters to cool you down because it gets freakin hot in Visalia! I ordered their seasonal, non-caffeinated drink called lavender hibiscus spritz. What caught my attention was that they use topo Chico seltzer! Sooo good if you haven't had a chance to try it yet. This was super refreshing on a hot day and I'm hoping to try and recreate it at home! read more

This place is a gem to Visalia & I'm so happy they pushed through this horrible year & made it possible for us to continue to visit. I was a fan of the lavender latte at first. Not too sweet and not too dry in flavor. The lavender latte has started to become common, but I had it here first back in 2018! Lol Recently, and pictured below I tried then iced mocha which is typically not my jam. It was good! I'd forsure pop another shot of espresso to balance the sweet. The menu is traditional and small, for food reason. The fundamentals of coffee made simple for them but the food is always a great mix. read more

Component Coffee lab is, in absolute and relative terms, an incredible food establishment. If it was located in LA/SF instead of Visalia this review would be the exact same. Stumbled upon this place after a backpacking trip in Kings Canyon. We weren't expecting much and ended up being BLOWN AWAY by how good Component Coffee Lab is. Good in all the ways: -Beautiful, inviting space that is perfect for eating solo or as a group; chatting or doing work; sit down or to go -Phenomenal food. The burrito here was so dang tasty. The avocado toast on the homemade bagel was also memorable -Coffee was very good -Service was excellent I wish I could go here every week. Next time I'm nearby I'll insist on returning read more

What a hipster place! This place is poppin, lots of seating inside and in the outside patio. Got a few coffees and a donut, the service was great and fast. Established in 2017.

Started as a coffee roaster under the name "Slow Train". We've been roasting coffee since 2012. We specialize in small batch, single origin coffee that is roasted to profile. In 2017, we moved into the mobile espresso game, at the Visalia Farmer's Market. We are now located in Downtown Visalia in a lovely brick and mortar building. Serving tasty coffee treats and breakfast items from 7 am - 4 pm.

I kind of wish there had been a bit more engagement at that point, like suggesting a popular item or checking with the manager about anything for Yelpers.
