We got the brown sugar pop tart (I forgot to take a picture) the pastry was flakey and messy but good. My husband got the breakfast burrito which was a bit pricey at $14 and a bit small but he said the sauce was bomb and he got a coffee. My friends go the avocado toast and a chai and latte but the espresso machine was down so her drink took a while and when my friend went to check on the drink the lady gave a little bit of an attitude saying the machine was down. My friend said her chai wasn't that good. We came back another day and I got the carrot cake muffin and it was good but it had raisins and nuts which I don't care for but it was good!
Component coffee is a wonderful place in downtown Visalia! Food is fresh and delicious, coffee and tea is amazing, staff is wonderful! Great place to have breakfast and meet up with friends/family!
Came in around 10:30am on a Thursday. Parking is a little difficult as there is a parking lot in back (Apple Maps took us there) and looks to be for use of another business-we parked there anyway. The building is really cool and interior is nice too. There was a small line but it went quickly. We ordered a matcha latte unsweetened with oat milk and an ice coffee with an extra shot of espresso. It took around 15 minutes to get our drinks. Matcha latte had a really strong matcha flavor-YUM. The ice coffee is nice and strong with the extra shot!! (There are standard up charges-light ice .50$, alternative milk, etc) There is a large outdoor patio area-which was crowded today. Our server was friendly and helpful. Overall a great coffee and matcha!
After my one star review, the owner immediately reached and we exchanged a few emails. His follow-through, his commitment to customer service, supporting his team and his game plan for resolution took my breath away. Like I told him, always a fan! Highly impressed!
Great service. Very friendly. Love this local down to earth vibe. The coffee taste so smooth. The foam is creamy. The taste is right on. Lightly sweet & the coffee doesn't taste burnt or bitter. It's perfect ph. I can tell they take care of their equipment with proper cleaning & descaling. The roast & brew is not too acidic. Again perfect. Thank you Component & the barista who made my cup. Five stars all the way. See you some more on Yelp 2026
Boo on the customer service here it's basically non existent The two times my husband and I have ordered ahead and paid for "side of crema" for the breakfast burritos they haven't given it to us. In fact the second time I went to pick them up and saw there was no side of crema I had to flag down a BOH member since the baristas just looked at me instead of offering help. I asked for the side of crema and was told "it's a 1.10" and he walked away. After getting his attention again I told him I know it's 1.10 I paid for it. He gave me one. I asked for another since I paid for TWO burritos with TWO sides of crema and he reluctantly gave them to me. Just rude all around honestly. I would be more understanding except for the fact that it says ON the receipt that's on the bag "SIDE OF CREMA" Just some very frustrating experiences for 32$ (2) burritos.
I love this place . Me and boyfriend stopped here on the way back from sequoia as a little pick me up for the road . The vibes in here were super cute . The coffee was super delicious as well . The service in here was very friendly and they made us feel welcome .
The plants were amazing touch the coffee was okay the seating was pretty comfortable and it was pretty quiet and great place for studying or remote work or just to read a great book. Service was amazing they had my coffee made before I even paid for it. As soon as I received my receipt I received my coffee, fast service.
The food is amazing, I liked my chai latte and husband liked his drip coffee. The ambiance is great, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Only wish they had cushions on the chairs. The service was okay, the beverages and butter croissant were serviced right away and my avocado toast was served too late for me to enjoy with my chai. They might want to work on the timing of the beverages and food. My avocado toast was amazing, loved the crunchy toast and seasoned poached egg. Overall, great place and will returned. Loved seating outside.
So hard to find good coffee - most shops focus on pastries and sugary drinks. They have those but they have REALLY good coffee!
Came to this coffee shop while visiting Visalia and am so happy I did! Our favorite was their breakfast burrito which was so tasty!! The place is very cute and a great spot if you want to complete any remote work/studying.
Despite being a coffee lab, I find Component's food to be the star aspect over their drinks. Regardless of the time of day, Component always appears full. There were outlets indoors and free wifi for guests. The service is limited but friendly. There was a self serve station for take out boxes and condiments near the register. *Matcha Latte: I've tried it both hot and cold, and both skewed milky. The matcha was very weak and clumpy, especially iced. The only tolerable form was when they had a seasonal strawberry matcha latte. *Chai Latte: similar issue with it skewing milky. The chai wasn't fragrant and it was missing the spiced aspects. One of my least favorite executions of chai. *Breakfast Burrito: top tier burrito. This was stuffed with egg, potato, bacon and onion and smothered in their chipotle sauce. The ratio of egg to potato was ideal and the chipotle sauce should be bottled. Everything was wrapped in a warm tortilla and it had some heftiness. *Potatoes: the side was tasty, especially with the chipotle sauce but it's a bit dry on its own. Still seasoned well though. This was a good study spot as most patrons are quiet and respectful. I would visit prior to noon in order to enjoy their food menu. Otherwise I wouldn't stop by for any of the beverages.
What a hipster place! This place is poppin, lots of seating inside and in the outside patio. Got a few coffees and a donut, the service was great and fast. It does get really crowded so be prepared to not have a seat. I got the almond milk latte - yum and the chocolate filled donut hole was really tasty. Dogs allowed! read more

Can we just talk about the amazing combination of food and coffee? The food is substantial, satiating, and savory! I'm impressed at a coffee shop that is able to offer the best of both. I was extremely satisfied with both my coffee and food and will definitely make component coffee a stop whenever I visit Visalia! read more

Wow so cute and delicious food and beverage items! I would totally work here and come here everyday if I could. I had an iced almond milk latte and avocado toast. They were both to die for! The avo toast comes on a brioche type bread and is extremely tasty. Lovely outdoor and indoor seating and to top it off, amazing service =) Believe the hype! read more

The most beautiful and delicious latte in Visalia! This coffee shop is gem tucked away near downtown! The staff is super friendly! read more
I'm a sucker for boutique coffee shops. They accept online orders and have outdoor seating. I had the matcha latte here and I really enjoyed it. I like how they don't fill most of the cup with ice and a little bit of drink. You have to get the sweet latte. It's delicious. It has espresso, but their formula works. read more
I'm not a huge coffee guy so I can't speak too much about the coffee but the donuts here alone are worth the trip. Donuts - they have only started making these for about a month, the cashier said they sold out by 9am the day prior. I came right around opening time and managed to snag all the donuts that we're coming out. I probably went overboard as these definitely taste better fresh. But it was really good. I highly recommend the strawberry and peach glaze ones. Another surprising menu item is their kombucha by Whalebird. The pamplemouse flavor is so good. If you haven't tried this brand and like kombucha even a little bit, this is the kombucha to get! Highly recommended to go if you're in the area! read more

Stopped in for a Chai and pastry. I really wanted to try their donuts but they were already sold out when I arrived. I came on a rainy day and it was packed inside. Luckily I was able to grab a seat. Tables are really close together. It was a little awkward with the couple at the table next to me. My chai came out but my pastry was forgotten. I went to the counter, it took awhile but I finally got an employee to acknowledge me and get the pastry. Overall it was an ok experience. I'm sure the lack of customer service was due to being busy. Chai was ok. Pastry was good. read more

Ordered the asada torte sandwich. The bun was burnt. It was missing radish, lettuce, sour cream, and almost no pickled onion. Literally a silver of onion. The sandwich was $15 with no other sides. The person who gave me the order said something that was unintelligible when they handed it to me and was definitely not friendly. This was a disappointing meal to say the very least. It is very deceptive to list ingredients you have no intention of putting into the sandwich. I won't order the sandwich again and probably won't recommend it. read more
This is a little place I ran into when I went to Visalia. This place is small and super packed. I like their theme and food, however, their coffee didn't "wow" me. I wanted a vanilla latte and I was told they don't use syrup flavors, which is super cool. So I ordered the "sweet latte" and asked to please add another shot of espresso since I am not a fan of super sweet drinks. My coffee was still super sweet and the flavor became overwhelming after a few sips. I was disappointed I couldn't finished my $6 dollar coffee. The mocha was also super sweet and overwhelming. Perhaps we didn't know how to order? On another note, the food was amazing. I really enjoyed my avocado toast. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles. Wish I had taken a pic of it to show you all. If you are a coffee snob like me, you will be left with an average expectation. read more

I found this place when I was looking for a new breakfast location. On our first visit, I ordered the breakfast burrito, sweet latte, and a lavender donut. My mother ordered avocado toast and a latte. We shared our food and pastry, it was a very delicious breakfast. Also, great customer service, very nice people willing to answer questions about the menu and make adjustments. We enjoyed our experience at a new breakfast location. Pros: Delicious food, simple menu, great interior, inventive pastries (ex. pb and j donut, lavender donut) Cons: Parking can be a bit difficult to find, I suggest parking in the public parking lot and walking to the location. The location itself is a bit difficult to find, there are two entrances and the coffee lab is in the middle of the entrances. One time one of the entrances was locked and we had to walk to the other entrance. I recommend this location for its delicious food and great coffee. Great for breakfast lovers and coffee aficionados. read more

Hands down the best chai tea latte I've ever had! It's the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Their regular lattes are just as good. Not to mention how awesome the food is! The team is always attentive and friendly, creating a consistently enjoyable atmosphere. read more

Hands down the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Solid, flavorful, a unique mixture of ingredients to create a beautiful dance of different taste experiences with every bite. Their coffee was equally delicious and strong. The service was great and they worked fast despite a consistent line out the door. Plenty of seating inside and out too. It was the perfect stop before heading out on our day adventures to the national parks. read more

I drove all the way down from San Francisco and was able to buy a bag of their Ethiopian guji beans. It's a shame that Component is so far away because it was, hands down, one of the BEST beans we've ever had in our lives. Yes, and that's in comparison to beans from LA and SF! These beans are bright, fruity, and have a very smooth finish. This gem of a roastery is not to be passed up, especially if you love yourself a light-medium pour over. I'm only sad that we're just finishing the bag -- after just one week -- and that I won't be down in the area any time soon to pick more up. read more

Great spot to work on homework, read, write, or hang out with someone. The service was not the best, it could've been that they were extremely busy? but I was still expecting the best service, since everyone raves about this place. They have plenty of seating inside, couches, chairs, bar stools. They also have a lovely patio, plenty of tables and chairs, patio is similar to your moms backyard, nice and homey :) My latte was warm and it got cold within 5 minutes of sitting down. I asked if they can warm it up, but I was told they did not have a microwave. Other than that I really I enjoyed my visit. read more

Component coffee is a beautiful location, very on par with some of the hip locations in the Bay. They also have a cool selection of gift items for sale. The staff is friendly, tons of seating, solid menu offerings. I had a pistachio rose and cinnamon donuts. They were both delicious! Subtle in their flavors which is good with such bold combinations. However, I was disappointed that those were the only offerings left, despite them not closing for another 3 hours. I also had a sweet latte with oat milk. I'm happy they offer oat milk, however the coffee was just a tiny bit bitter in after taste. The serving size is generous though. I'd return if I was in the area again. read more

The ambiance alone won me over. Attractive friendly faces were a plus! There was no side-eyeing or crazy looks that I have experienced here in Visalia ( back in the South we call this the racists eye). I had the spiced latte which is a seasonal beverage and if you don't feel the essence of fall on your tongue - ha ha - omg! I don't know what to tell you! It was like thanksgiving morning hugging my tongue - All it needed was a little more sugar but the drink was well flavored. The coffee cake was definitely home made. I suggest you heat it up before consumption b/c it was kind of firm.. also if you are expecting a muffin that's NOT on a diet plan (gluten-free, dairy-free, negative energy-free) then this is the wrong muffin. This muffin is definitely on a DIET. VERY HEALTHY! But it's good ( shrugs ) There is seating inside and outside. The parking is a little bit on the thin side and there was a small wait for your order - nothing too extreme. I say all this to say- go and patronize this business. Good energy! Desserts that are actively dieting, beautiful ambiance, diversity in the staff ( that's a plus ) smiling faces, non racist stares, good service.. hey - it's a win. read more

We came here for breakfast, they had limited menus choices due to covid precautions, but were pleasantly impressed with the available options! My sister is a vegetarian and was able to modify the breakfast burrito, replacing the meat with avocado. No indoor or outdoors seating available as expected due to covid precautions. Excellent service, would come again. read more

I saw this place on Yelp and wanted to check it out since I like going to new coffee places. I went with my friend and we got there at around 10am so it looked pretty busy but we were able to get through the line fairly quickly and order our items. We both got the Sweet latte but I got mine with oatmilk, then to eat I got the almond croissant and she got the burrito (sadly forgot the name of it). We decided to sit outside at their nice patio seating and while we waited the line got really long, so this place was definitely busy on a Saturday! They finished our lattes and brought them out to us, and with just one sip we were amazed at how good they were! Very accurate description on the menu for them because sweet but not too sweet is exactly the flavor the lattes had. I really liked the espresso they used too it had a nice strong scent and the flavor really showed throughout the latte! The only slight downside I felt the latte had was that by the time I had a small amount left in my cup, the espresso flavor started to be taken over by the milk, but I think that's because I got the 16oz and not the 12oz so there was just more milk in general for my drink. For the food, the almond croissant was super good! Very flaky with a good amount of almonds and almond filling inside! I only wished it had been warmed up for a bit longer because it was slightly on the cooler side even though they warmed it up, but the flavor itself was great regardless! My friend's burrito took a while to arrive but they packed it with quality ingredients, so it was a good size and very tasty! The flavor of the potatoes, egg, and bacon, was really good and we could tell it was seasoned very well, also because it was so large my friend couldn't even finish the whole thing and took the other half to work lol. The staff was also very friendly and quick with getting through the orders despite how busy it was! Overall would definitely go back and the only reason I give it a four star is because it was a bit on the pricier side since for the four menu items plus this one sticker I bought I spent about $30, which surprised me . read more
