Absolutely amazing spot! We just moved from Texas where there were a lot of coffee shops and coming into the city we only saw one and it was slightly depressing. But the first thing I did when arriving here was head over to component coffee lab and I'm so glad I did because it's absolutely stunning outside and inside! Many coffee shops in Texas didn't have a place to sit outside obviously because of the heat but having this place with such beautiful aesthetics and a friendly environment really makes it welcoming to keep coming back. I got the sweet latte which was absolutely fantastic so I can't wait to come back and select out of there variety menu food options! There's plenty of seating inside and the decor is so comforting and homey! Outside is beautiful as well!! There's so many palm trees and lights setup to enjoy the environment. Customer service was really great too! Smiles all around. If your in the area I highly suggest you come check out this place and if you don't know what to get just ask one of the staff members they are definitely very willing to help! A total gem! As an avid coffee shopper, I look for certain things in a cafe: good vibes, great coffee, outlets, parking, and plenty of seating space. This place meets it all! They made a MEAN cardamom latte that I dream of, the cozy interior is perfect for meeting up with a friend or grinding on some work. There are plenty of outlets as well. I love this little hole in the wall coffee shop. It's so easy to just drive by and not know it's even there! But totally worth the stop! The fresh pastries that sell out daily, I still haven't been able to nab a chocolate croissant, they sell out every time! But this time I got a peach danish, that was so flaky and flavorful I want to know who the baker is and where I can order a dozen! I ordered an Americano, we waited around 15-20 minutes. It was pretty crowded, but I'm assuming that was due to the weekend and people were probably going to national parks. Americano was mediocre at best, it tasted kind of sour which I didn't like. I also ordered a cookie, it was also mediocre. It was more sweet that I expected. We stopped by Component on our way home from visiting Sequoia National Park. For a Sunday morning, almost all the indoor and outdoor seating was packed. A few people are on their laptops doing work, while some people are conversing with others. Cool, hip interior. The menu has a nice variety without being too overwhelming. I ordered an iced sweet latte with oat milk and my boyfriend had the cortado. My drink had the perfect blend of creaminess and sweetness, whereas my boyfriend found his drink a bit too bitter for his taste. I love this place I come very often. The staff is so friendly and kind. They always remember my name. The food is amazing, great options for a quick bite. The pastries are also always freshly baked and delicious. I feel like everything is priced perfectly for what you're getting. The overall vibe and ambiance of the place is very chill, relaxed. Stopped by before heading back to the bay and did not regret it. Got the breakfast bagel which came with a fried egg, avocado, bacon on an everything bagel. Really yummy and shareable with a friend! Also got the flash cold brew and my friend got the chai, which she was really impressed by. The cold brew tasted pretty standard so no complaints. Cute atmosphere but pretty crowded in the AM even though they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend visiting if you want a pick me up and you're from out of town. read more

I have had drinks from Component Coffee Lab a few times, and have really enjoyed each one.  I am a fan of their iced Sweet Latte with a sub of Oat Milk.  This drink is well balanced, and always hits the spot with just the right amount of sweetness for someone who does not like sweet coffee.  Today's order was made with a $1 sub for Oat Milk, and I am a fan.   I actually came in today hoping to have breakfast in their outdoor patio area.  Unfortunately, quite a few others had the same idea because the patio was packed.  Indoor seating was available, however, it was very stuffy and warm inside.  The outdoor tables were completely filled, and were very close together, although the patio area is quite large.  There were 3 additional tables that were properly distanced, but they were roped off from use.  Perhaps, it is to limit capacity. I ordered my breakfast burrito to go.  The tortilla was a bit on the burnt side for my taste, but the burrito itself was delicious.  The staff was extremely friendly and the space is nice.  There is a bit of what looked like storage in plain view, which should be hidden.  I am removing one star for being a bit overpriced.  $18 for a coffee and a breakfast burrito is a bit steep for the area.  They also do not accept cash. It is a nice local coffee alternative to the epic chain coffeehouse with the green awnings. read more

I adore this coffee shop, it makes me wish I lived in Visalia. It has a good amount of seating in a pleasant patio and there is some inside seating. Staff is masked and take precautions. They are old school baristas but someone will stop what they're doing to help a newbie out. As for coffee, I ordered a pour over of their Guatemalan beans that was perfect. No cream or sugar needed. I also ordered a chai latte. It was good (not the usual sub par). The chai was not special but would love to sit and leisurely try every pour over available :) We also ordered food: a big a** burrito, bagel breakfast sammie, jalapeño cheddar cheese scone and lemon donut. My family stopped in for a quick coffee run. Wow, was it busy! Did that impact our wait time? Absolutely not. Our drinks were made perfectly and delivered with a friendly smile. We loved the flash brew iced coffee and herbal iced tea. My father in law reported that the mocha was just sweet enough. It was a huge bonus that there were caffeine free options as well as extra caffeinated options to suit everyone in our party. We will definitely be back to try the food! read more

They offer great coffee made with local farm Rosa Brother milk it's the little things that will set you apart from the healthy competition and Component Coffee dose just that from there coffee to their food it shows house made donuts and breakfast burritos! The extra mile isn't always a whole mile away and they have mastered it here with house made Hot chocolate my favorite because it's made with there very own house made chocolate sauce (I've only experienced this at one other place Rymers in Three Rivers) and it NOT being powder packet like other shops, Components Hot Chocolate is actually healthy for you and your children a win win in my book lets care for the people who care for the youth there needs to be more of that in this day an age. I've visited component coffee lab several times, since I have to go to Visalia relatively often for work. The acai bowl is great, but be warned, it is huge and you will not be able to finish in one meal! I've also gotten an iced latte here several times and it is consistently very good! Additionally, the shop itself is very cute and I've been able to sit here and get some work done. They've got outlets and free wifi for customers. Service is always friendly as well. High quality and freshly made which brings me to my next point - because it's made upon order and they only make food on the weekend , wait times are prolonged. Worth the wait! The keto banana bread was good too. They make home made donuts that look so yummy. Would like to try one soon. I bought some Peruvian coffee beans as well. The notes were appealing (fudge, sun sugar tomato, brown sugar) the taste was bright, smooth, NOT bold but substantial amount of caffeine. Since moving to Visalia, I wanted to explore the local coffee shops. This place did not disappoint! PARKING: Google may take you to the entrance on Main street, which is a little difficult to see the entrance that is IN an alleyway. You can do street parking there, however I recommend going on Center (just behind) to access their FREE parking lot! Follow yelp directions! COVID-19 RELATED: They are offering lines for mobile orders and pickup (go to the right of the building) and a line for in-person orders. Workers are wearing masks here as well. There are some tables/seats outside in their shaded patio, however there's not a ton (~15-20 seats). After ordering, you wait outside on their patio where someone will come out and call out your name (or place your order on a table). Outdoor patio seating was first come first serve, self seated. ICED SWEET LATTE ($4.75): This latte is crafted with their house made simple syrup and comes in a 16 oz. It comes with whole milk, but they also have oat/almond milk (+$1) and breve (+50 cents). When asked if this drink is too sweet, they said no so I got it as it is typically made. It was really really delicious! Would totally get this again! I may try to order it with less sweetness next time just to see the difference. As a side note, you can order the LIL' SAMSON which is a 32 oz to-go order of oat milk cold sweet latte to go. Brunch served only on the weekends until 12pm. BREAKFAST BURRITO: Comes with potatoes, peppers, onions, sharp cheddar, eggs over medium, bacon, and a chipotle like cream sauce wrapped in tortilla. Sad, they didn't have ketchup (those ketchup lovers out there know what a heart breaker this is haha), but this burrito did not need it. The chipotle sauce that it came with is pretty flavorful especially with the sharp cheddar and it was very filling/heavy for me! I had to eat each half at different times. It was good, but I would order light sauce next time due to personal preference. read more

We came in early in the morning after I decided on this coffee shop due to the rad reviews. Great vibes, really good food and drinks. The staff were very nice and went out of their way to make you feel at home. If I were to ever open a business, I'd want the company culture to be that of this coffee shop. I love the decor and layout of the store, and how simple and beautiful everything is. It's clear that this coffee shop is a well-loved gem in this city, with great employees staffing it. We ordered a breakfast burrito and pumpkin bread muffin to share, and I got a matcha green tea latte with oat milk that only comes in one size, which looked like it was 12 oz. It would have been nice if they had larger sizes. My husband ordered an iced coffee flash brew, and the cup looked a little taller which probably is so in order to accommodate for ice. They even have vegan options, for any plant-based Yelpers out there. Our total came to $25.88 which includes a $2.00 tip. We sat outside and enjoyed the morning sun as we waited for our food. The pumpkin bread muffin wasn't warmed, but it still taste fine. I did overhear another customer at an adjacent table ask if they could get their cinnamon roll heated up, to which the female server was a bit reluctant to do so, but did say they have the ability to do so in a toaster oven or microwave. I do feel that this service should be offered when you're paying for the pastry, not waiting until customers ask if it's even an option. I would've liked our pumpkin bread muffin to have been heated up but didn't ask since it wasn't presented as an option to us when we ordered it, and I didn't any to be a bother. The breakfast burrito was delicious and came piping hot, wrapped in foil, and cut into two pieces. It had some chipotle-esque kick to it from a sauce that is added to it, and it rounded out the flavors very well. I don't eat meat and it had bacon in it that I didn't realize when we ordered, but I just picked it out and gave it to my husband. TLDR: Really great coffee shop with awesome vibes, plenty of outdoor seating, and good food and drink. Come check it out yourself! read more
