This winery is a gem in Lancaster! Not to mention Megan was super helpful and provided some of the best customer service I've ever had! Came for the wine, but was not expecting their food to be so exquisite! The flatbread was great and followed up by a lemonchello dessert was like a cherry on top! Their wine flights are well priced and it comes with 3 servings per flight. The ambience is quite cozy and inviting, definitely a great place to bring a date.

Great great spot! Their food is delicious and they have a great selection of drinks! I don't drink much but tried one of the sparkling reds and was very impressed. I've been there for dinner and brunch. The service and food has been excellent each time! And the velvet chairs are so comfortable and really fit the casual yet upscale vibe!

Complexity Wine offers a fantastic wine list, amazing cheeses and a relaxing ambiance for any occasion. I've visited twice for brunch and had a wonderful time both times. First time, I ordered crepes with a sparkling rosé wine, with coffee to finish. Second time, three of us shared a chef's choice charcuterie plate and a caprese flatbread. I would definitely go with the second option; the flatbread was fantastic and the cheese and sausages seemed to be perfectly chosen to compliment one another in the charcuterie plate. My Pinot Grigio was great as well. We shared a large French press coffee at the end, rich and delicious with no bitterness whatsoever. We also split a lemon chiffon cake, the perfect sweet ending to our brunch. Service is fantastic, attentive without being overbearing. All of our questions were answered quickly and requests attended to promptly. Free parking in the lot. The Antelope Valley is blessed to have such a lovely wine bar nearby. Highly recommended.

Hey my fellow Veterans and Others! You really have to make your way here. Dan the owner has a really great place here. The food is top notch, the service is even better. They have a wine list to die for. Oh if you like a place that is not noisy , this is the place to be. PS I really like the wine on the right

This place is a cute little wine bar that also serves food. I like how they let me taste a few wines before picking a glass. The food was good. My favorite thing was the Brie and apple appetizer. My only complaint is the food came out about 45 minutes after we ordered it. But, I would go back!

    Ribeye

Honestly what an upsetting experience overall. Please look at the negative comments first before coming here because they're all true. My husband ordered a ribeye with a side of Mac n cheese and truffle fries. First off, all steaks are al la carte.... 55$ steak with sides for extra $$.. not even broken bit does that.. anyways when we got his steak it was already cut into slices which tells us whoever is in that kitchen cooking does not know how to cook steak because why else are you cutting into a steak before you send it out? then we both notice the steak is completely blue and RAW not even rare , RAW. He asked for medium rare, anyone can tell by the picture that it is not medium rare. And it was all fat! This picture is after we asked the waitress take it back like they didn't even do anything to it!! My poor husband tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried it and he spit it out and said it's cold, mushy and very bloody. He even wanted to take it home because he didn't wanna make a big deal out of it but I was like hell no we are not paying 60$ for something we cannot eat. We heard them laughing in the back and we decided to leave because it was straight up ridiculous to the point we felt like whoever is in charge here just completely disregarded us as customers. And acted like they didn't give a f*** about fixing it. We've never had to walk out of a restaurant before ever due to the lack of customer service. I want to know who is in charge of the kitchen bc surely whoever is does not care about this restaurant and what they send out. The mashed potatoes were 100% 99cent store box mashed potatoes. The truffle fries had no truffle!!! Nothing no salt, no seasoning not even oil it was so dry my husband had to chase it down with his drink. And to top it all off we were so upset about the steak we didn't even realize till after we didn't even get the Mac n cheese he ordered!! ! We were so shocked about the steak and fries that we didn't even realize it till we got home. I was upset to even pay for my entree. It was ok I ordered the shrimp scampi but nothing special what this restaurant makes it seem. 100$ down the drain for two appetizers ( very small portions not even worth it), one very tiny glass of wine that I finished within two sips, a lemonade and one very fishy shrimp pasta.. thxs! Ps: the picture attached is what they brought us after we asked them the first time to re cook it.

Nice to spend on a Friday night. We went for a friend gathering/baby shower. Considering it was a party of 20, Costumer service was good but we were all served at different times. My husband and I ordered the charcuterie board for two. The amount was perfect. We most definitely will go back to do their Sunday brunch.

Sassy shrimp with polenta, cheese bomb, lobster bisque
    Sharay D.

This is solely based on a to go order.. Although the vibe inside was really nice. This is solely based on a to go order. When you walk in you are greeted by a wall with nothing but wines And a cheese selection in the back. I ended up getting the sassy shrimp, lobster lobster bisque, and this thing called cheese bomb. I will start with the lobster bisque, very flavourful with actual small chunks of lobster not just the lobster essence like some places use. The cheese bomb is a sourdough bowl cut up baked with cheeses and herbs that was actually good also. I did not try the sassy shrimp too much because I was already full although they give you big shrimp served on a bed of polenta. So i tried the shrimp...couldn't finish because I found a hair in it that was not mine! So I had to throw it away only s few shrimp in and meal was ruined...

    charcuterie board

The service was amazing. There are so many options of wine and food to pair with. We chose the chef picks and it was great. The restaurant was beautifully decorated as well.

Are they still serving brunch on sundays?

Hi, we are no longer serving brunch on sundays. We open at noon and serve our regular food menu. Mimosas are still available.

Can I purchase a bottle of wine to take home?

Yes! They are a wine and cheese shop too!

    Do they have bottomless mimosas?

Hi Gary, we do not do bottomless, we do bottle service where a bottle and 4 different juices is $25 for brunch.

There was plenty of parking in this lot. The entrance is located through their patio, which can be a bit counter intuitive. We came at opening and the restaurant got really busy during our time there. Initially we were looking at the sandwiches because it was lunch time, but then we were going to a wedding that night so we decided to eat something more filling since the ceremony and speeches always delay the eating. All entrees here are served with black beans and rice or congri, and 3 fried plantains. My boyfriend had the Ropa Vieja ($28) with the congri and I had the Lechon Asado ($25) with the rice and beans. Our food came out pretty fast after we ordered. My boyfriend's Ropa Vieja is a Cuban braised beef. The congri is basically a mix of the rice and beans. This dish was super tasty and the shredded beef was so tender with the bell peppers and onions. I can really taste the red wine and tomato sauce in the base. I took a few bites but in general I preferred my dish more, and vis versa he enjoyed his dish more. My lechon asado is a roasted pork that is super super tenderrrrrr. It was so sweet with the grilled onions and it had the perfect amount of fattiness without being over bearing. SO GOOD! Love the plaintains too. I'm glad I got the rice and beans option because I would have gotten too full too quick with the congri. I barely touched my beans and only got through half of my rice. Both dishes came with this super tasty garlic butter sauce that I poured on my rice and made it even tastier. It was so good. One thing I didn't enjoy about the experience was the flies attacking us and our food. Since the door is open and connected to their outdoor space, it leaves the opportunities for flies to come in. We had to play defense with the flies the whole time. The service here is a little slow. Especially when I was trying to get back on the road I wasn't feeling too patient. I waived down multiple staff members too. Also I got hit with an undisclosed 3% surcharge for using my credit card. I only found out after I got the receipt. I would have paid in cash if I knew. *dislike* LOVE LOVE LOVE the food. Might be the best Cuban food I've ever had... and I've been to Florida where there was a lot of Cuban spots. Room for improvement with service, flies prevention, and the disclosure of the credit card fee.

The food quality is spectacular! I always get the Baracoa Cubano sandwich and it never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh and organic with each dish I've ordered. Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed! Honestly, I've never heard of someone caring for their guests so much to do that--truly everyone should visit this establishment and experience true fine dining. I don't think I'll ever eat anywhere else for a special occasion ever again.

This is a review in two parts. First, lunch…read more Maxdons claims to have the best steaks in town. Pretty bold statement. However, the place has been around for a long time and the rumor is that it is pretty darn good so I figured I would try the lunch menu. I will be returning this weekend to try the dinner menu and report in on any differences that I may find because this lunch experience was somewhat unique and definitely worth writing about. Upon entering, I was washed over with a wave of nostalgia. It reminded me of all of those semi-fancy places I got to experience with my parents in the 1970s from the lighting to the ambience to the music to the general overall feel, which is very welcoming. And if you are as old as I am, will definitely take you back. And that is a great way to get an appetite started. However, that's when things got a little strange... On a Saturday afternoon, they had exactly one young lady tending bar, working the grill, and acting as a server for not only the interior but for the outside patio area. I'm not sure whether or not this is a gimmick or just a very inefficient way to save money, but let me tell you that that young lady worked herself crazy to take care of everybody and under the circumstances did a fine job of it. Unfortunately, the grill is out in the main dining area and an open fire grill unattended can create somewhat of a safety issue. In addition, an old gentleman well into his cups decided to go over and place his face 6 inches above the food that was currently being cooked, which I thought was a little unsettling. Based on all of this, I decided to order a cheeseburger in that I did not want to risk $50-$60 on a steak that was not going to be attended to consistently. That, dear reader, will come to pass this weekend when I go in for dinner this weekend. Now that we have a basic understanding of the layout, I want to mention a few awesome things: The cocktails were very well made. Generous pours, but they didn't overdo it and the result was delicious. I, myself, enjoyed a Mai Tai. The salad bar was modestly stocked, but did not have a bunch of unnecessary, ridiculous items that people seem to think makes a salad taste better. They also had a soup of the day. But, at 95° outside was not on my list of things to eat. Again, that will be Saturday. The cheeseburger was surprisingly delicious due to the fact that I don't think it was looked at more than twice and flipped more than once, but it was pretty darn good with a great char, and medium as ordered. Upon requesting the check, it was noticed that the dinner salad listed on the menu at $7.99 was charged at $25. After three different conversations, the overworked server / cook / bartender realized the error and immediately made things right. All in all this place is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The research I did shows that the locals just love it. You can go on a classy date or something casual with some friends, and you will still have that sophisticated, refined throwback to an earlier time when going out to dinner was truly an event. The only concern I have is for a staff member having to deal with several people and wear several hats with no backup whatsoever. The inability to stay on top of a grill that is consistently going in the main dining area is a safety concern, but not the fault of the server herself. This is a management decision and I would definitely recommend that a second person is always on whether it is lunch or dinner. She did mention that in the dinner time cycle, there is another person who comes in to assist and that is the reason I'm going back Saturday. I want to see how the dinner turn and burn works because the burger was really good and I imagine that the steaks are gonna be just as good as everybody says they are. It is definitely worth a visit. Until then....
