We talked for awhile, got the problem diagnosed, the guy at the desk called the owner to confirm the part being ordered, great. Get to a week later, I call back about the part because I need it replaced. "Oh, $, we never got that ordered. I was mowing my lawn when he called me and..." Oh boy. Not good. Let's review: * Immediately refunded my deposit * Continued investigation and found they DID get it ordered * Did not demand a new deposit * Continued tracking the package, even though it seemed to be lost - well beyond the expected Tuesday-Wednesday timeframe. * It arrived while I was at work, really didn't have time to fix it. But he called me up to let me know and we worked out a time - he personally promised to set that time aside for me. I showed up, he confirmed it was the right screen, we went through some tests - it was glitchy - then he rebooted and it seems to have unglitched. As I now touch my screen to confirm, Device Surgeon got it done. They fought the mail, they put the customer first, and navigated a tricky situation successfully. The person working there was standing barely two feet away, talking to someone sitting on the couch. Despite my presence, he made no effort to acknowledge me. No greeting, no eye contact, not even a simple "I'll be with you in a moment." After standing there for what felt like several minutes without being acknowledged, I finally approached him to ask if someone could look at my laptop. His response was dismissive and arrogant. He said they were too busy and that someone could look at it tomorrow, ending the conversation with what seemed like a mocking smirk. I completely understand that a repair shop can be busy, but being busy is no excuse for being rude or disrespectful. A simple acknowledgment and polite response would have been enough. Basic courtesy costs nothing. Unfortunately, that seemed too much to expect here. Very disappointing customer service.
