I bought a Chevy Bolt in September 2025. I was required to pay for accessories that were supposedly "already installed" on the car. We completed the paperwork and then waited for the RYR program to process everything. About a month later, after everything was approved, we returned to pick up the car. When I picked up the car, I noticed the door guards had not been installed. The salesperson said they must have forgotten to install them during the preparation phase--an absolute joke of a service. They told me the person who installs the door guards wasn't there and that I would have to come back. I returned a week later for my scheduled appointment, only to find out the installer still wasn't there. I ended up bringing the car back a second time without an appointment, and they finally installed the door guards. I had to call three times just to get the door guards I had already paid for installed. I even asked if I could simply get a refund instead, but they refused. I will never do business with this dealership again. This is exactly why dealerships have such a bad reputation. My husband wanted to bring me here after looking at cars and talking to a helpful associate. The experience I had endured was not as pleasing as my husband had. My husband was talking and texting with someone who was as helpful and informed us he would be present on the day he told us to show up. Guess what...he wasn't present at all. In fact his manager told me that he attended a wedding the night before and was too hungover to come into work .... The associate who has decided to take us on a test drive was in training which means he should have a manager with him on the test drive. I guess the manager decided he could go out on his own which made the experience lass than pleasant While my husband test drove the car I had a couple questions such as what's the difference in costs between the basic model vs others, how much would it be to install a charger and would Chevy do it for us and other simple questions. The associate could not give any descriptive details and was on his phone the whole time while we were driving. Then the finance manager came out to greet and I shared my experience with him disappointed that my first time at the dealership wasn't pleasing. I would not recommend this dealership. I do not recall the salesman, though he was definitely new because of his lack of knowledge of the car, but the General Sales Manager we worked with was Jason Higgins. Our experience there was not the greatest. Aside from the salesman being uneducated on the car, we had other complaints. First was when we had our truck evaluated for a possible trade in. When we denied the trade in, it took a long time to just get my keys back. From my truck. That I own. It was ridiculous to have to continuously ask for my keys back. Aside from that, the financial lady we worked with, was not friendly at all. She seemed to have an absolute attitude the entire time. Seemed to give us attitude when we took our time, asked questions, and even asked for a print out of everything we signed. Unfortunately, we did not receive all the paperwork that we initialed/or signed. As we drove off the lot, the car was fine. Of course it is a 9yr old car, understandably there will be a couple small issues to be noticed by anyone. But the major issue was when at around 80 miles, my engine coolant thermostat fan went off randomly at the signal, on a cold morning. Then about 100 miles in, the check engine light went off. Now that is very suspicious, how it went off at exactly 100 miles. Our only assumption is that the company illegally and absolutely unethically cleared a check engine light and did not disclose this information to us. When we tried to work with them to get the issue resolved, their only thing was they would fix it, but of course we would have to pay for it. We ended up deciding to cut all ties with the dealership and deal with the issues ourselves. We went against the extended warranty because we figured if they screwed us once, they will do it again. I even went so far as changing out my license plate frame, removing their name off my name. Caution if you go. 4 stars. Not a completely honest, "straight shooter" dealership, but also not so shady that I wouldn't do business with them. I had been tracking used C8 Corvettes prices on multiple car websites for about a year, trying to find that perfect combo of the right sub-model, right trim level, all the options I want, low milage, clean CarFax and a price that was lower than what Kelly Blue Book said I should be paying for it. I found my dream car in a GarGurus ad listing for Community Chevrolet. So I went to the dealership and told the salesman that I would buy the car at their asking price if they agreed to not tack on any "dealer add-ons", like "paint protection", "service package", "anti-theft device", "extended warranty", etc. The Salesman says, "Well, all of our vehicles already come with a paint protection package applied and an added GPS tracking device". So I say, "You know Corvettes have built in GPS tracking in the MyChevy app, right?" And he says, "yeah, we can get all of those fees waived". So I said, "Ok, I'll buy it". Then he comes back with preliminary numbers for downpament, monthly payment, etc and the vehicle sales price he uses is $2,000 higher than what was advertised on Car Gurus and on the Community Chevrolet website. I point this out and he says, "Oh, they must have just lowered the internet price on the car and we didn't know about it at the dealership yet". So he goes and reworks the numbers. A few hours later, after all of the paperwork had been written up, I go to sign the paperwork in the finance manager's office and all of these "dealer add-on" fees are there in the paperwork, totaling around $5,000 higher than the agreed upon price. I tell the finance manager that the salesman said there would be no additional fees. She said the saleman didn't have the authority to waive those fees. So she calls the salesman into her office. He acts dumb, like he never said the fees would be waived. Blah, blah blah, back and forth, wasting more time, more pressure to sign the paperwork. So finally I said, "Sell me the car at the advertised priced, without any tacked on fees, or I won't buy the car." The finance manager left her office for a while, came back and reworked the paperwork. In the end, they did sell me the car at the advertised price, but they also made me waste a few extra hours at the dealership -I was at the dealership for more than 4 hours- and they forced it to become an uncomfortable, aversarial business relationship to make the deal work. I just finished helping my mother purchase a car here through the replace your ride program. First the good, our initial salesman Daniel was a wonderful fellow. He seemed committed to the customer experience and apologetic about the unpleasant parts of the purchasing experience. He was helpful in scheduling and test drives with a good attitude. Now the bad, this place is fully committed to the legacy model of how to sell cars where margin is extracted through the traditional sales process. It was made clear that participating in the replace your ride program was onerous for them and that they were not likely to make any concessions on price. We agreed to pay the advertised price. When we sat down to go over the final numbers we were told that it was advertised below what they needed to sell it, at so they had added more than 10% of the purchase price of car in miscellaneous high margin add-ons. These were mandatory and not advertised or explained during the test drive process. They fully leveraged their position as one of the few dealers participating in the RYR program to get us to agree to pay for them after a marginal discount. Two hours after this we were taken to work with another finance manager who offered additional high margin options that we were able to decline. Having to wait 2 hours to sign a few forms was disrespectful of the customers time. The dealer holds onto your car as it works through final RYR approval which was to be expected. The disappointing part is how ignored you felt as a customer asking questions during this period. We needed a copy of the temporary registration so my mother could file for her utility rebate but there was no urgency and this took weeks to procure delaying her receipt of the rebate unnecessarily. Daniel did eventually follow up with the needed documentation but management routinely ignored any questions. Gate keeping assets and milking you as you work through the winding road of completing the sale is depressing and stressful. It's a feature not a bug that we had to pay more than advertised to get a car using the program. This was made worse considering the participants in the replace your ride program(like my mother) are of limited means where thousands of dollars are material in their well being. This program sends significant revenue to this dealer yet the participants are treated like a burden and seemingly preyed upon by management. If you must use a legacy dealer, I'd recommend negotiating the out the door price on any cars that you're interested in prior to arrival so you're aware of the true price of the car prior to walking in. read more

They kept my car for almost a month, and when I finally got it back, I thought everything was done properly. Less than a month later, my car started leaking oil. When I brought it back, they claimed it was a "separate issue" with the oil pan gasket and wanted to go through my drivetrain warranty to do the repair. That didn't sound right to me, so I told them to stop the work and decided to get a second opinion. I took my Tahoe to a local independent shop, and they immediately found the real problem -- a loose oil pan plug, not a gasket issue like the dealer said. Even worse, they showed me that the transmission oil pan, which the dealer claimed to have replaced with a new one, was damaged and clearly not new. This is dishonest and unacceptable. It's obvious that Community Chevrolet either did incomplete or deceptive work. I'm very disappointed and concerned about their lack of integrity and accountability. I strongly recommend avoiding this dealership. I've been a loyal Chevy customer for over 35 years--ever since I got my first Chevy at age 16. In all that time, I've never had an experience as frustrating and unprofessional as the one I recently had at this particular dealership. I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change and brake service. While that part went smoothly, something clearly went wrong during the visit. My vehicle's alignment and tire sensors were knocked out, though I didn't notice until later. When I returned to address the issue, I was met with the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Carlos, the service representative, was incredibly rude from the moment we began speaking. He interrupted me repeatedly, showed no interest in hearing my concerns, and responded with heavy sighs and dismissive behavior. It was immediately clear that he had no intention of helping me. When I asked how the damage might have happened, he aggressively insisted--using the phrase "no way in hell"--that nothing the team did could have caused the issue. That turned out to be false. After speaking with a more reputable Chevy dealership, I was informed that the issue was absolutely caused by something during the service visit. Despite this, I was forced to pay an additional fee to fix what should have been a quick, simple correction--something that would've taken them five minutes to resolve if they had owned up to their mistake. Carlos also tried to upsell me services I didn't need, and once I declined, he completely shut down, handed me my keys, and walked away without addressing any of my remaining concerns. I have called and tried to talk to multiple people, no one ever calls back, the only one that has wasn't much help at all and of course called back at the end of the day (7:59pm) so that the warranty placed was already closed and left me unable to call and verify the information she gave me until the next business day. She then said she was off the next 2 days ( Wednesday and Thursday) and stated she would call me back Friday to follow up with this issue. Had a terrible experience at community chevrolet service. I had previously called and spoken to lady who scheduled an appointment for me. I explained all the issues the truck was having (AC not working, fog light malfunction, backup camera malfunction) and it also needed an oil change. She scheduled an appointment for me. I asked if a loaner or rental will be provided, she said "absolutely we'll provide a loaner if its available. If its not, we'll definitely get you into a rental". Pulled into service today, male service writer approached me and said he doesn't have time for my truck today. Told him I have an appointment. He said doesn't matter, they're backed up until next week. I started telling him the issues with the truck and he said I would need to re-schedule for next week. At this point I had no choice but to re-schedule. As he's rescheduling he started moving some wires under front foot area of the truck and said that my truck is modified. Its a brand new truck that only has 3,000 miles. I drove it off the dealer's lot with 5 miles on the odometer and it hasn't been driven by anyone else since then. The truck was never modified. He then proceeds to tell me that they can't provide a loaner or rental for the issues that I mentioned. He also said they will charge me a diagnostic fee. This is absolutely absurd. Brand new $80k truck having issues with only 3,000 miles on the odometer and the dealer's service writer trying to tell me they're going to charge a diagnostic fee and that the truck is supposedly modified and on top of all that, they won't provide a loaner or even a rental car. read more

SCAM ARTISTS - STAY AWAY I leased a brand new (faulty) car from Community less than a month ago, and already it has been in the shop twice, with no fixes. On day 1 of my lease I began experiencing serious issues with my car. Problems that would make the car's front camera and sensors disable. Problems with the battery and regenerative braking of my EV. In addition to a few other, less serious issues like the steering wheel smelling like burning plastic when I use the heated steering wheel, and a Bluetooth issue which the dealership claims Chevy is going to put out an update to fix. I brought my car in the first time, and the dealership said they "could not recreate the problems I described". I went and picked up my car, and what do you know, those exact same issues appeared as soon as I got my car back. I brought my car back to the dealership a second time, and again, the service team said that they could not recreate the issues. I'm not sure how they expect to recreate the problems with the car just sitting there on their lot, when they are problems with how the car runs/drives. In addition to having physical evidence (photo, video, etc) of my issues occurring, none of my loaners (both EV's), nor my previous Bolt EV that I drove for 3 years ever experienced these issues. Yet they kept appearing on my new Equinox EV. The Managment at Community routinely ignored my calls and emails. Both Manny in Sales and Mauricio in Service. The Sales team wiped their hands of the problem as soon as I signed the lease and they just kept referring me to their unhelpful Service department. At one point I was told that as an apology, to try and make it up to me having to bring my brand new (faulty) car in, the dealership would put in all weather mats into the car. I followed up a week after they said that to check in on the status of the weather mats, and was told the Managment ended up denying that promise and that they won't be giving them to me after all. I have escalated the issue to GM / Chevrolet Customer Care, and when I told them which dealership I got my car from, they groaned and told me they have had a lot of customers with problems from them. I would recommend going to ANY OTHER Chevy dealership than Community. Unless you want to be leased a brand new car with issues on Day 1 and ignored and dismissed when you try to have them fixed. read more
