I want to give a BIG Shout-Out to Valentin Rautescu at AUDI of Downtown LA Service Dept. for doing an excellent job AGAIN of taking care of our 2021 AUDI Q5 recently. He went above and beyond to take care of us. We called AAA and towed it in from Marina Del Rey to AUDI DTLA because of Transmission Malfunction Warning Light went on and the car Loss Power so I pullover. Fortunately, Mr. VAL was there and immediately inspect the car and check our service history. He decided to try to get an approval for the warranty even though our CPO warranty expired last year and it will take awhile maybe days or week for the approval, diagnosis and parts (not to mention Labor Day) but assures us that he will be on top of it along the way. Excellent Communication and Follow-Up with Texting and Phone is always there with Mr. VAL through out those days and we truly trusted him with our past maintenance service that he already done as we feel like he knew our AUDI Q5 by heart. Mr. VAL made it possible to get the TCM Module approved by the Warranty Department and were so greatly appreciative for his decision. In short, our 5 year old with 55K plus miles AUDI Q5 is fixed and back to normal again for my wife's daily driver. Highly recommended! read more

Unfortunately, my experience fell well below the standard of professionalism I would expect from a luxury automotive dealership. From the moment we began our interaction, several concerning behaviors stood out: * Eating while speaking to me - Jay was actively eating during our conversation, which came across as dismissive and deeply unprofessional in a customer-facing role. * No greeting or invitation to sit - At no point was I offered a seat or made to feel welcomed. A basic courtesy in any sales environment, and it was completely absent. * No eye contact - Throughout the interaction, Jay failed to maintain eye contact, which made the experience feel impersonal and as though my business was not valued. * Overall lack of engagement - The interaction lacked the attentiveness, enthusiasm, and customer-first attitude that you would expect when making a significant purchase decision. It's clear that Jay may have received some level of sales training, but his execution suggests a serious need for retraining -- particularly around basic professional etiquette and customer hospitality. I would not recommend working with Jay if you plan to visit Downtown Audi. That said, I cannot speak to the other sales staff, as some may offer a far more professional experience. If you do visit, I'd suggest requesting a different salesperson. Downtown Audi as a brand deserves representation that reflects the quality of the vehicles they sell -- unfortunately, this visit did not reflect that standard. read more

This caused my oil change to last +3 hours. -1 star So I'd definitely not recommend waiting for car. That said, the service rep and service team did do an excellent job once inspection was made. Courteous professionals thru the entire team. Service did find a coolant leak upon inspection. Cost to repair: $4800. C'mon, I am not the one. This was my first time at Audi DTLA--I usually go to the Fairfax/Bev Hills location. The area is pretty congested, with a lot of dealerships nearby, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. When I pulled in, no one came to assist me or gave any instructions, so I had to get out of my car and find someone. A little frustrating, but once I got connected with my service advisor, Pablo, things turned around. He was great--informative, helpful, and made sure I was taken care of. He even ordered me an Uber to and from the dealership, which was a nice touch. The waiting area is solid, with espresso, coffee, tea, water, and an ice machine--definitely appreciated while waiting. One issue, though--after I got the email saying my car was ready, I still had to wait another 20-30 minutes for them to pull it out. Not sure what the holdup was, but I just made a latte and waited it out. Overall, not a bad spot, but the initial service process could be smoother, and the pickup delay was a bit annoying. any audi dealer can sell cars - audi makes great cars! but audi downtown la has the most professional service department of any audi dealer i have used in: nj, ma (e&w) or ca (nors) i've bought or leased 8 audis since 2001. 21 scheduled services, 3 unscheduled repairs, and 1 recall. most of these years i had at least 2 audis (2 mercedes & a macan as well) audi downtown la did service on my 1st audi, an 2006 allroad (reached 120k) and i met val. he immediately booked my appointments whenever i call. he listens to any concerns and reports exactly what they find and his recommendations. he has never replaced parts which had not reached their replacement time unless they were defective in any way in which case he covers them by warranty. the service is completed when promised unless a part is not available or the review detects unexpected wear or problems in such case he provides loaners. this week they texted me a video showing every check point and narrated by the mechanic. produced like one would expect in hollywood! i could see the working parts and received a summary report with tread & brake-shoe measurements. val is a no nonsense pro and he realizes my time is valuable. polite and detailed and always appreciative. 2007 & 2008 i drove my allroad cross country just to let val and downtown do my service when i should have done in princeton audi. val was worth it!(my daughter in usa). every time i drive away from audi downtown la.........i feel like i'm driving a new car!!! read more

Had a very polite and professional experience interacting with Jonathan when I was browsing between a used e-tron and the Q5e. He was on top of most of the knowledge interacting with the Audi user interface and spent the right amount of time with me going through the interiors. I made a note to him that I was perturbed by some superficial issues (white stains) on the e-tron I was looking at as well as a random candy wrapper tucked away in a storage bin that appears to have missed their intake inspections. The Q5e available that day was new and in good condition, and I was pleasantly satisfied with the opportunity to inspect the interface differences and the spaciousness of this SUV. Jonathan was professional and I had no concerns interacting with him. I was irked being introduced to their finance manager Ayman because he began explaining it cost them a fee to participate in the soon-to-expire used EV tax credit program that were not in line with the very clear instructions for dealers on the IRS website, and that none of their used inventory would be eligible for such a program (several vehicles in stock appeared to qualify at the time within the constraints of the IRS rules). This was merely a walk in visit as I was passing by that day and wanting to continue my research and explore the Audi brand. I appreciate Jonathan for the time spent. read more

Went for a check on my clutch, they charged me close to $5,000 and two days after engine light went on. Took it again just to be lied that it was my fuel pump when they really didn't even check, how do I know the tech sent me a video of what he did and recommended an oil change. How is that so, but when I took it the first time they did an oil change. I waited 4 days for them to diagnose the car and got tired of chasing them for answers. 2/5 stars, would be 1 star if not for Johnny. Our car has had a recurring battery drain issue for years. This is now the 3rd or so battery we've gone through, including the original Audi battery. The car is driven nearly every day with 1+ hour drives at least twice a week, so this is not normal. We came in about a month ago for a windshield wiper motor replacement. During that visit, Eugenio told us the battery was bad and needed replacing. When my fiancee asked if it should go through Audi, he told her to go through whoever installed it, which was a third-party contractor via Audi roadside. She did. The battery died again shortly after. My fiancee went back to Eugenio and he told her our warranty had expired and to go through the contractor again. Before coming in for the diagnostic, she called to check if it even made sense to bring the car in. That's when Craig told her the battery should have been covered under Audi warranty regardless of the 40k mile expiration, and that he was just as confused about why Eugenio directed us to the contractor. So Eugenio sent us through an unnecessary process with incorrect information from the start. Craig comped the diagnostic fee given the confusion, which we appreciated. We also suspected the wiper motor installation may have introduced an electrical issue and had already ruled out our dashcam. We wanted a real answer on what was draining the system. Due to our previous negative experience with Eugenio, we requested a different advisor. My fiancee checked in with Val, because Craig said that was the earliest another advisor was available. Val kept insisting on passing the service to Eugenio. Since Eugenio was standing right there, she let it go rather than make a scene. That turned out to be a mistake. Val noted a vehicle electronics malfunction error when he turned the car on and suggested the dashcam might be drawing too much power. My fiancee told him it was configured to minimize drain. He had no follow-up. Val also told her the battery configuration had to be done by Audi, the exact same thing Eugenio told us. We looked into it ourselves and found any reputable shop can do it. It's hard not to notice multiple service advisors giving customers the same incorrect information that conveniently steers them toward paying for Audi service. The diagnostic concluded the wrong battery had been installed and it was faulty. We were told to replace it and run battery adaptation via ODIS scan tool. The actual drain issue, the whole reason we came in, was never addressed. We're no closer to an answer. I came in around 12:30pm to coordinate with the contractor, but Eugenio was at lunch and the contractor only had 5 minutes before leaving for another call. Johnny stepped in and was the only person who gave me a straight answer on the battery issue. I told him I wanted another diagnostic to find the root cause of the drain. He said he'd loop in Eugenio and I'd get a callback. I never heard back. I called multiple times between 2pm and 6pm. Every time, the service department option sent me straight to Eugenio's voicemail. I had to call sales just to reach anyone. I also found out the service department closes at 6pm, not 8pm as listed on Google Maps. The only reason I could pick up my car after 6pm was because someone in service left my keys with the sales floor. Without that, I would not have been able to pick up the car. Eugenio gave us incorrect warranty information, could not explain the battery issue, and went completely silent. We still don't know what's draining our battery and wasted a visit finding out nothing useful. We'll be going elsewhere for a proper diagnostic. Johnny, if you ever move into a service advisor role, you'd be excellent at it. Bottom line, do NOT go through Eugenio if you expect your service advisor to actually know what they're talking about or follow up on anything. read more

I have recently had excellent experience with the Service Department at Audi Downtown LA. They handled very complicated bushing replacement on my Audi with absolute professionalism and care. Communication was excellent throughout the process -- I received timely updates and clear explanations at every step. They also provided a loaner-car. What really stood out was that they even purchased a special tool (not required by Audi Corporate) just to complete the job properly -- and unlike another LA County Audi dealer, they didn't charge me for it. That's true customer service! It takes a month to get a loaner, very little communication until your car is "ready", says the car is the car wash but it's filthy and hasn't been touched with all of the plastic and floor liners still in the car. "We'll give you a car wash voucher." So I can come back and wait another hour for my car? Pass. Always a different answer for the plethora of electrical/system issues a $100k car shouldn't have. The absolute worst service department of all the Audi dealers I've ever been to. Completely unorganized. First off when you pull up, most dealers have a smooth check-in system - get you in and paperwork filled out. Not here. You're lucky if someone comes up to you outside at your car but if they do, they just tell you to go inside and your service provider will find you. Well that can take who knows how long, anywhere from 20-30 min even with an appointment, sometimes you have to remind them you're there. Then let's talk about how long it'll take for a normal service on your car. When they schedule you on the phone, they say oh it'll only take an hour but when you get in they'll change it from 3 hours to all day, maybe into tomorrow. I mean, who does that?? Sure, they'll call you the lowest possible Uber since getting a loaner is nearly impossible here. The only reason I've tried this service center more than once is it's location, that's the ONLY good thing about this place. Getting your car is a reasonable time, absolutely not. If you can go to ANY other Audi Service Center, I'd highly recommend that. read more

This dealership does not have the customer's needs or interests at heart at all. I went in for an e-tron but was told it was still being tweaked and that I should opt for an A5, and wait it out, they upsold me a bunch of unnecessary things that the Beverly Hills Dealership found absurd. They promised me they would be able to reacquire my A5 in a year and that it would hold value and could be traded in for the new and improved e-tron. Really they were just trying to hit a quota, had zero accountability and displayed no integrity. Additionally the guy who sold me the car was canned two days later and the GM of the branch who handled all the service issues of this car was canned shortly after that. Truly just appalled by the entire experience and would never recommend anyone buying a car from this dealership let alone even bothering with an Audi. So not worth the maintenance and it's sensors don't work consistently, alarms go off all the time and for no reason, and worst of all the key fob goes undetected mid drive, the dashboard screen freezes, apple car play does not work and disconnects continually on the rare occasions when it does work. They basically sold me a dud and did so unscrupulously. Not one thing they committed to at time of sale was honored there after. I have rubbish equity in this crap mobile and I absolutely cannot believe there is no way to hold the dealership or the brand accountable for this kind of foul play. read more

So I took a video of the noise to send to my service rep. Called once... twice... left a message... called again... left a message with reception... it's been weeks and I still haven't gotten a call back. She even messaged me again at 9:23 AM the day of my appointment to reconfirm that everything was set for 3 PM. I drove over an hour to get there, arrived late, and immediately apologized--only to be told, very awkwardly, that the car had actually been sold the day before and had already been picked up. This means that while she was confirming my appointment that morning, she knew the car was no longer available. No call, no text, no email--nothing. A manager came over to apologize, but at that point the damage was done. I was in and out in under five minutes after wasting my time, gas, and energy on a trip that could have been avoided with one simple message. If the car was sold, just communicate that. Don't confirm appointments for vehicles that no longer exist. It feels misleading and inconsiderate. read more

It took months to get the money back and it was maddening experience. They screened my calls so I had to call from friend's phones. They told me they were waiting on the warranty issuer to receive my reimbursement, but when I finally connected with the warranty issuer, I was told that Audi had had the funds for 6 weeks already.
