For my 28th birthday I hosted a bar crawl in Downtown Las Vegas. After going to a handful of dive bars we landed at Commonwealth because the music drew us in. They were playing my favorite songs from classic reggaeton artists, R&B was in the mix, and hip hop too. It was a good choice to end the night here because it's a pretty big club with a downstairs dance floor and rooftop dance floor too. After my group of 10 got our drinks we made our way upstairs and danced for hours. Be prepared to swear through your clothes during a summer night in Vegas dancing on a rooftop from midnight to 3 am.

I love commonwealth! Tables for sale for your parties, don't forget the upstairs as well. Usually the downstairs and upstairs have different music to fit your needs. I do not believe they sell food so make sure to come fed because the drinks are great and average priced for Fremont. $10-$20. Such a fun ambiance to come out and hang with friends.

Stopped by Commonwealth on Fremont Street with my wife, and it quickly became one of our new favorites. The atmosphere was electric -- great music, awesome crowd, and the bartenders were top-notch. We couldn't resist trying their world-famous habanero pickle back, and it did not disappoint -- spicy, bold, and exactly what we needed. This spot is definitely staying on our Vegas must-visit list. Highly recommend checking it out when you're downtown!

Commonwealth is an awesome venue on the corner of Fremont street and conveniently located beside a parking lot It's a huge venue with 2 stories so great for larger groups of people And did you know they often have burlesque shows here too???

Came in tonight 4/28 because a local friend recommended for the music. The first security guard we encountered was very nice and right before he was going to let us in, another bouncer with shoulder length hair and ear tunnels came out the door and declared that my REAL California ID was a fake because he "couldn't see my ears in my picture" which, huh? When I stated that it was real and that in the 4 almost 5 years I've had my current ID I've never been told it looks fake, or have had any other issues including when using it to travel internationally. To which he replied "No, I know it's a fake" and I asked if the had scanners and he said "No, we are certified ID checkers, I do this everyday". So me being the determined person who loves to prove people wrong, especially when I KNOW they are wrong. I went looking for a police officer to scan my ID. When I found the cops they immediately said it looked real but they would scan it for verification. When it came up clear and REAL the cops drove over to let the bouncers know. So pretty much they are letting people in and not based on how they feel. I only stayed to prove a point as my friends said because the bouncer was so rude and adamant about my "deception"that we should leave. While we were there they played good music and the DJ and bar tenders were nice but the one guy at the front definitely needs an ego check. Also I'm attaching a picture that I took this same night, where you STILL can't see my ears, sorry my ears don't stick out to the side but have a VALID way of checking before you call somebody a liar, lucky he didn't try to throw it away or destroy.

Can I give more than 5 stars???? I was looking for a nice place to celebrate a birthday with my wife and some friends. This is hard to do, and surprisingly so! We live in the Entertainment Capital of the US. So finding a nice place , not to clubby, or overrun with singles looking to "Hook Up" where adults can relax, dance and enjoy the evening is more than challenging. Not going to a bunch of places like this it's hard to tell from websites and reviews. For some reason when. I reached out to Zokie, he answered my concerns and made me feel pretty confident that this spot would work out! He was super accommodating and advised us as to the main floor vs rooftop for the comfort level we were searching for! So we made the table reservations and set our sights on the Birthday event! When we arrived they had already sat some of our friends without questioning, which is great as this was a surprise situation. When we arrived i was introduced to Rebecca, who was our server! To say she took care of us is a gross understatement, she excelled at meeting our needs! She took care of my group of 12 with ease and a smile! She never left me waiting for a drink, and at my request kept plenary of waters handy! We danced for hours, the DJ was perfect. He mixed several styles and genres together to it was constantly pumping but not "trans music " annoying. The bar is also large, very stylish and unique! The pictures do not portray the class of the place, as I mentioned earlier! For a fFriday PM they kept the crowd at an energetic but not crammed-overcrowded level! Pleased beyond words! I recommend whole heartedly that if you are looking for the right spot to celebrate, large event or small, you would be hard pressed do better than The Commonwealth!

I have been wanting to go to this bar for a while now but it's always so busy, this time I made a reservation for the piano bar on a saturday night. The piano is bar is just so beautiful and luxurious with the chandeliers. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks, the bartenders are just awesome and make great drinks and are very friendly. When 10pm came we tried to go into the rooftop bar and this is where I am very disappointed on Commonwealth. We were told by security that we are not able to go up without a stamp, which we can get for $20 a piece , it didn't seem fair since we had spent a significant amount of money in the bar already but we said ok fine. Then we were informed that we must go out of the bar get in the long line and pay then to get in again. It really bothered me because we were inside already , it didn't make any sense so we decided to leave. I really like the bar and the staff but it's not worth to go and spend money and try to spend even more in the other bar and we are told to go back outside and wait. According to the security it's a management rule , i hope this changes in the future.

Ask the Community - Commonwealth

What is the dress code?

Our dress code allows for jeans, tee shirts, sneakers, dress shorts and fashionable club attire. It does not allow for jerseys, sleeveless shirts, any athletic wear (which does include leggings and yoga pants), sandals, flip flops or beach or pool…

What type of music do they play on Friday & Saturday nights?

We have a DJ in our main room and our rooftop patio on weekends. Both play open format which vibes to the crowd in each room.

Is there currently a dj on the weekends?

We have a DJ in our main room and rooftop patio on weekends starting at 10 pm.

Is it 21+?

Yes, we are a 21+ only establishment.

Is Happy Hour still 7-9, Tuesday through Friday? What's the HH menu like? Thanks!

Happy Hour is 7 pm to 9 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings with discounts on well drinks and select draft beers.

I know commonwealth is open, is there any dj? any dancing allowed? is the rooftop open yet?

There is a DJ. Unfortunately no dancing is allowed. The rooftop remains closed for the moment.

As of 6/13 is commonwealth open again?

Yes, it is open. Currently they are only opened on the ground level with a limited capacity.

How do I make a reservation for the laundryroom?

702-701-1466. Text that number and ask politely for reservation!

Is there a cover charge on Thursday nights?

Commonwealth does not charge a cover Tuesday through Thursday evening for our main room. We do have promoters and select DJ’s that we utilize on our rooftop patio that do charge a cover from time to time. I hope this information helps.

Do they ever have karaoke nights?

No karaoke ever....trivia on Tuesday is as close as allowing public to perform any type of entertainment

What's the smoking policy?

I'm glad you ask! That's one of the things I love about this place; no smoking indoors. So smokers have to go outside or rooftop patio. And yes, people smoke cigars too.

Is there really a cover charge for guys to get in? And extra for the rooftop? Sounds ridiculous.

some nights they do have a cover charge (usually Saturdays). If you arrive before 9 you can usually avoid any cover. Most nights there is no charge.

Is there a dress code?

Not really, it gets a very wide range crowd, mostly dressed nice casual but since there is dancing and live music, and a proximity to freemont experience, you see all types.

Is there a bullring an hook pub game in the upstairs bar area?

They removed it a few months ago to make room for a beautiful, new painting!

What are the happy hour hours? Are they different for different days of the week?

I believe it's 7-9PM, all days that they're open.

Our waitress was super friendly and really encouraged us to try some things because we really weren't sure about the menu. She was super attentive and we really appreciated that. The reason I'm giving this a three star review (and I feel bad doing so) is because I genuinely hated the drinks. Like viscerally hated. The menu really was a struggle as someone who's a gin drinker. There wasn't a lot on the menu which I'm often used to, but the drinks were either cloyingly sweet or incredibly tart and bitter. There seems to lack of balance and there were a lot of really weird flavors that really didn't seem to go together. Now I can't speak on every single drink on the menu, but I did try a couple that are either premixed or on tap and I really struggled with them. I was excited about the ginger drink, and I was given a taste of their homemade ginger beer, and it felt like it was going to burn a hole through my stomach. Which is typically not my reaction to anything gender flavored. I just think the balance of flavors are not quite right and so certain things overpowered other flavors. I ended up really not wanting anything on the menu because everything was so rum based and I really don't like rum, so they offered to make me a cocktail with some flavors that I liked. They told me they had passionfruit, which I was really excited about. It usually is a really nice combination of sweet but not too sweet and good fruity flavor. I had a passionfruit gin drink made, and it was absolutely gorgeous coming out. Unfortunately, what I didn't know was that the passionfruit that they have is on the very sour and tart side (contained by a staff member later), which has never been my experience with passionfruit in the past. One of the things that I told the waitress was that I really don't like sour. I like citrus but not something that is so overly sour that it tastes like I'm eating a warhead. And the drink that was made for me had both lemon and this really tart passionfruit to the point all I could taste was this awful sour flavor. I felt bad and drank it and was not about to ask it off the bill because they were so kind about everything. The drink ended up only being nine dollars and I genuinely wonder if they undercharged me, but I felt a lot better that that's all I paid for it. Aesthetically it was beautiful, but it tasted horrible. I tried my friends drink, which was a play on a margarita with Mezcal, and that was also incredibly bitter and sour. I'm not someone who needs disgustingly sweet drinks, hence me not liking rum, but I do need a balance of sweetness with the other flavors. My friend thought her drink was OK, but she said she wouldn't order it again. I would definitely give this location another shot if I could figure out a drink that would work, but it seems their drinks either are very sour or very sweet and I'm hoping that at some point they will be able to find a good balance between the two.

I'm a local and live nearby, so I was looking forward to finally checking it out. Unfortunately, the experience was soured right at the entrance. The security guard(black dude) wouldn't allow us to bring our water bottles and canteens inside. Given the Las Vegas heat, I found this policy unreasonable, especially when we were simply trying to stay hydrated. I didn't feel like arguing with the guy about it, so we decided not to go in. For context, four of us had walked about 25 minutes to get there. It was disappointing to make that effort only to turn around without even getting the opportunity to experience the place. We ended up at a neighboring bar that didn't complain about water. I understand businesses have rules to follow, but the way policies are enforced and how customers are treated at the door matter. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

Located in the Uncommons, I parked in their parking structure. I hung out for longer than 2 hours so I think that's why I paid $3 for parking at the end of the night. Entrance located in the Quad Area. Our waitress Bella was sweet and recommended the right drinks. We tried the Li Hung Hula margarita, Monkey In A Tree piña colada, and the Oso Panda signature cocktail. All drinks tasted amazing and looked very good. I loved the ambiance of this place. They have outdoor patio seating and inside seating. It gives a comfy feel with their seat cushions, small tables, and stools. I noticed it got busier as the night got later. They have one T.V. that they had on when I came in but was covered up by the time I left. I definitely recommend this place. Glad I came after dinner as they do not serve food here. I would definitely come again!

I will say on weekend nights, I had always seen this place crowded and lively. I was for sure curious. On a weekday evening, I strolled into this venue. It had great chill music and had some customers, but not busy at all. The weather had been a little more humid than usual and with the full opened walls/doors to the outside patio, it was a bit warm, little muggy sitting at the bar. The decor is really nice though, a really good tiki vibe. The bartender addressed us right away and we were first looking for an espresso martini but they had a Carajillo, which was explained to be a Spanish version of an espresso martini. The bartender said it was really good. We got it - and you have to expect something that is the same as the espresso martini. The flavor was alright, but the knock for me was that it was all ice. There was very little drink in it. The agua fresca was a winner - the Sundown Sipper. It was refreshing and a great blend of juices. Not tart, perfect amount of sweet tropical flavor. I did really enjoy this. If you're not a drinker, you have options here.

The atmosphere immediately took my wife and me back to our early adult years in the best possible way. The dim lighting, mellow crowd, and music all worked together perfectly, and somehow the playlist felt like it matched the crafted cocktails and overall vibe of the room. One of the things we appreciated most was being able to actually sit together and have a conversation without having to yell over loud music or a packed crowd. It felt relaxed, mature, and genuinely enjoyable--a breath of fresh air compared with so many bars that seem focused more on being loud than creating a good atmosphere. The cocktails were excellent, the bartenders were top-notch, and the entire experience felt thoughtful from beginning to end. If you're looking for a place with a mature vibe, great drinks, good music, and an atmosphere where you can actually enjoy the person you're with, Velveteen Rabbit is a must-visit.

I feel like this place can be easily missed since the building is all black, but definitely worth stopping in for. Vibes are very dark and intimate, yet lively. I am not sure how to explain it, but I liked it. Lol Somehow you can make a reservation, but I haven't looked into it. There were a bunch of seating against the wall on the couches but they were all reserved. My friend and I ended up at the bar in the "standing room" which was fine! Their seasonal menu is Conspiracy Theory based. I from that menu and my drink was called the Moon Landing Hoax, which was recommended to me but pretty strong in my opinion. I will say that the aesthetic of the drink was super cool with the astronaut. My friend ordered from their regular menu. She enjoyed her Repo Espresso Martini and she would order that again! All in all, I still like this bar a lot! I would come back again.

We invited two friends and we had separate reservations but they were able to seat us together! We enjoyed the welcome cocktail, which was tequila based and presented in a coconut kinda thing that was overflowing with dry ice for effects. So fun. They gave us these books for menus! Each cocktail had a story like description and a gorgeous photo. They have two parts to the cocktail menu, with the back end ha I g market price cocktails. Watch out! The market price old fashioned was $295 due to the vintage old forester in it. The cheapest cocktail I saw was $38, the velvet moon, which my husband has had many times. He had it again, as his second cocktail, so that I would try it; it is so good. His first cocktail was the Passion's Serenade $45. What a cool idea and it was tasty. Most drinks were around $60. I took my time and ordered the Liberty's Torch. I had no idea they would bring the elements to the table and make it right in front of me! Wow! My second cocktail was the Maison de Luxe $70. Our friends had the velvet moon as well! And they had some sort of Mexican style drink like a cantarito which came with a little sombrero hat that they got to keep! I was impressed that they brought a second snack set for our friends who joined us a little late. I was glad I could eat everything and not have to share! Haha This place is so unique but very expensive. We asked for the check so we could get on to dinner and they surprised us with four gelatin shots! Thank you! We will be back.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with beautiful decor and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The service was outstanding. Our bartender was super friendly and every drink were crafted and presented beautifully. The cocktails are definitely on the expensive side, but you're paying for the entire experience. They also bring out complimentary snacks and dessert jellies, and everything is served with incredible attention to detail. It's a small space, so I'd recommend making a reservation. If you're looking to treat yourself to a unique cocktail experience in Las Vegas, I would definitely recommend The Vault.
