Our favorite punk band, The Mormons, happened to be playing here which is what drew us in. Loved the atmosphere with dollar bills and some R rated photo strips hanging around the bar area along with various stickers & graffiti filling the rest of the space. Truly feels like a quintessential Vegas dive bar. Bartenders weren't overly friendly, just there to do their job, but they served beers / cocktails quickly. We had a few PBR's which were $5 each. Fellow patrons were really friendly. I even made a friend during the show! For anyone with sensitive ears, the speakers are LOUD, so be sure to bring your ear protection. I loved the loud music, but my husband was suffering a bit. As per a usual dive bar, it is also smoky inside. If cigarette smoke bothers you, snag a spot near the entrance since they leave the door open for fresh air. This was everything I expected from a dive bar with a small stage for cool bands. We stumbled in, from the bright afternoon sun and were immediately greeted by the bartender and other anonymous drunks already lining the bar. It reeked in true dive bar fashion as we bellied up to the bar and threw a $20 into the ancient video poker machine. The friendly bartender slapped a Bud Light bottle in front of each of us with a smile and and let us be. The beer was ice cold in direct inverse proportion to the warmth of the bartenders kind heart. The VP machines were tighter than usual, but it was probably just an off afternoon. They can't always be winners and it won't stop me from coming back! No joke. Simple, quick, and it hit exactly the way it needed to. Sometimes that's all you want. This place isn't fancy at all, and that's exactly why it works. It's a break from the Strip. No pressure, no over the top pricing, just a real, old school Vegas feel. You walk in and it's got character. You can tell it's been around and has history behind it. It's one of those places that reminds you Vegas wasn't always about high end everything. There's still spots like this that keep it real. It's the world's only 24 hour Tiki Bar, opening its doors in December of 2008, nearly 18 full years ago. It has a spacious but limited parking lot, bright neon sign, cool outside entrance and even more wonder inside. True to tiki decor with island themed fixtures, tables, patterns, seating and ambiance. Hints of surfing culture, rockabilly and retro. Perfect signature original or classic tiki drinks via their menu as well as full bar, soft drinks and beer. The Makalele Knockout is probably one of my personal favs with rum(s), lime, hibiscus and a incredible blend of flavors. However the Tiki Bandit, Frankiestein, Dr No, ScruV and numerous others might speak to you. I've been to Frankie's a few times about 10 years ago, so it was nice to stop in with a group of buds and share some convo as well as meet up with my oldest best friend and her wife, who ironically is who I came to Frankie's with those first times a decade ago. All tiki drinks are currently $15 and well worth it. You're able to drink, gamble (at the bar), smoke, converse, sway (good music) but limited space and enjoy the night or day away. Seating goes quick at night, especially on weekends, but arriving earlier (before 8pm) can help. Sometimes tables, seats and areas open up faster if you're patient. All the staff, including the bartenders and door guy are thoughtful and personable. We eventually got part of the area that's slightly enclosed with a great view of the entire bar especially being a group of 6 to 8 at once point. High recommend.

We were drinking and enjoying a framboise lambic that I regularly have at home. He said well if you like that you have to give this a try. So, we did. He didn't mention the cost and we didn't ask. The lambic we were were drinking cost $14 per bottle/glass. We ordered ONE bottle of his recommended beer "Framboise 2022" (which was not as good as the $14 one we were drinking, btw), at a cost of $35. We were heading to a show so when the bill came we were in a hurry so paid it without reviewing it. Our bad, but much more so the bartender's as he ensured 1) a larger bill for the owner, and 2) a bigger tip for himself. I have meant to stop by to discuss with the owners but the opportunity has not presented itself.
