Fun Hog Ranch. Fun time cheer! One of my favorite dive bars in Las Vegas with great drinks, happy hour, beer bust, events, and specials. Located on Twain Avenue, between Palos Verdes Street and Paradise Road. Their AYCD Thursday Nights (9PM to 1AM) is incredible and similar to their Sunday Funday beer bust, 4PM to 8PM. Located directly next door to FLEX, FHR offers more a rustic vibe, very leather/levi bar welcome of all. They have great bear nights, support local on goings like Las Vegas Pride, Smokeout Las Vegas and numerous others. The bartenders as well as the barbacks are plenty personable, with a lot of personality. Jukebox is solid and you can even download the AMI Play app which works for their Jukebox and similar digital Jukeboxes wherever you go. I got a couple of songs in. It can fill up fast depending on the night, time of day or day of the week and/or weekend. I can tell you Friday through Sunday was very busy, especially Saturday nights. It was great to hangout with my buds back from LA, run into friends from other states visiting for the weekend and make some new ones as well. Cigar friendly, but it can get a little smokey inside, even with the doors open, you can smoke outside as well, just no drinks allowed outside of the bar. There's plenty of parking, though rideshare or a great designated driver is your friend. Reminds me a little of some of my favorite gay dive bars in Los Angeles, as well as other areas and states. No food, but they offer Nuts... lol. Like peanuts Service is best when I come in to see either Uncle Timmie or Adam. Place gives Animal Farm vibes but with a crowd of 55 and older hairy retirees. I usually go with my husband. read more

This is long overdue. I'm not a bar person, BUT... so many of my friends from out of town and in Vegas, go to this bar, for one reason, and one reason only, and that's Adam! He's the best bartender I've ever seen! Friends of mine that haven't seen him in years, will walk in, and he tells them their drink, aka the usual. Incredible! Sure, the place is dumpy and smoky, but the drinks, are good, and cheap. They give you a good bang for your buck. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, are nights I'm happy to meet any of my friends, or be their designated driver, since I don't drink anymore. Adam makes it a fun, and safe place to be. He is what every bartender should be. They are LUCKY to have him. So many of my friends that own bars, want him, to work for them. I've never met the owner, but he must be a great guy. Adam is very loyal to him, and treats the bar, like it's his. He cares about it! It's always clean, when he's on shift. I've had a lot of fun, over the years, here. Of course it's better when I win, on their video poker machines. Been DEALT aces, with a kicker, several times. I won't talk about when I lose. This bar, with Adam, at the helm, is a guaranteed winner. No doubt about it. I'm born here. NO ONE knows Vegas like I do. I know ALL the good spots. We travel the country patronizing local gay hole in the wall dive bars. Bar tenders are great. Cheap/strong drinks. Clean/functioning bathrooms. Some darker areas/corners for socializing would be good too... Our issues are the cancer filled air, crappy sound system and scam jukebox. Needs functioning air cleaners and/or an outdoor environment for smokers. Sound system sucks and PA is not understandable. The jukebox is expensive; doesn't tell you what's in the que and prioritizes the app over all others even if paying premium. read more

Fun Hog Ranch looks like a Southern roadhouse in Louisiana instead of being way off of the Las Vegas Strip. It's a dive, but in a good way. Enough widescreen TV's to entertain you with music videos and sports if the bar-t is in the mood.  Lots of men who look and act blue collar although they may be professionals in "real life". In old school terminology FHR may be called a Levi cruise bar. This place may be the closest as you're going to get to a leather or Bear bar in Las Vegas.  On their website, there seems to be a "Leather Night" on the first Saturday of every month where leather, uniforms, rubber is the theme night  Anyway, it's a down home man's bar where you can come as you are. Looks like a man cave without any pretensions. Bartenders are friendly as well as many of the customers.  4 stars for what you see is what you get.  PS Be ready for acrid cigarette smoke in your eyes and on your clothes and hair. read more

The bartender and his buddies were very rude. They treated the customers the way they probably got treated in high school. Heard him yelling at his Doordash driver for calling him while he was working. The otder said "Leave at Door". This guy was a weirdo. read more

I've really got low standards for gay bars. If you've got vodka that tastes like vodka and fair prices, you get 5 stars. ;-)

Bar is well worth patronizing. Friendly bartenders, music on jukebox. Gets a masculine leather-Levi crowd on weekends. Open 24 hrs.

Always a great spot just off The Strip to have drinks! Drinking is by far the number one activity here but they have TV's, Bar top gaming and a super friendly staff. I stop in almost every time in Vegas and always enjoy the great drinks, excellent price and friendly service. read more

I just realized every single bar and casino allows smoking out here in Vegas lol. The stench is just terrible as my sinuses have been out of control here due to the smoke. This bar is a total dive and I'm fine with that other than the smoke. 2 for 1 happy hour is awesome but the stench of smoke is just terrible. It really brings this place to its lowest level. Been awhile since I've been there but when I'm in Vegas I always go there! Divey bar but I love that. Mostly locals go there but it pulls in a crowd and everyone is friendly and the staff is attentive. It's off the beaten path but I like that. This is the only gay bar I go to in Vegas. If you don't mind smelling like an ashtray and enjoys the scene, cheap drinks, and just lively atmosphere than I'd say this is the spot! Ive been going to fun hog for over 10 years. My friends hate the bar and I always beg and force them to go because it's my favorite in town....until tonight. I went to buy a drink, they said that they were accepting cash only. I don't carry cash with me...especially in a dodgy neighborhood. I use credit cards, and they don't usually work with ATMs. I thought I'd hang out for a minute and wait for my friends. I told them to stop and get some cash. No big deal...or so I thought... I was kicked out of the bar because I COULDN'T order anything...which was no fault of my own. If your cash machine is down...you should consider making exceptions to the rules. I was polite about the situation. What happened to the gay safe spaces? What happened to the gay community and just being polite to one another. If someone is alone on Christmas Eve in your bar, you don't kick em out. I left...and I will never go back. I spent my 33rd birthday there earlier this summer and I guess that'll be the last good memory I have at fun hog ranch. Just add to the huge pile of why the gay scene sucks in Vegas. Honestly, was pretty intoxicated upon arrival to this bar. I don't remember much details, but I know I had a good time with the crowd I was with. I was drinking water at this point, but I recall them having a good beer bust deal. I've since returned, but then too is beyond my recollection. Air ventilation. They have fans but don't work. Too much smoke in the bar. Low ceilings. Sad!

So I came today. If you are not a regular you are left out waited for a drink for an hour and got ignored for the regulars but even through we were tipping good for the drinks. So you will feel left out as a outside. I played a lot on the casino machines and left was left out. So I would recommend just to order you drink at the bar and hopefully you will get served. Hopefully they can change and pay attention to the outsides and not the just the regulars. read more
