Excellent old-school dive with friendly locals! It doesn't hurt that we won some money too

Great neighborhood bar, good beer selection with plenty of food options in the historic Huntridge Shopping Center.

Cool dive bar full of locals only on the north side of Las Vegas. Stopped in here on a yelp recommendation. I was not disappointed. Looks like they have live music in the corner a lot of the time. This is truly a local dive bar where they know your name. I find it funny that basically every bar in Las Vegas has those cheesy little slot machine poker games on the bar top. The drink prices were good, the bathroom was clean, the parking was plenty full, and there were no annoying drunk tourists. What more could you ask for.

We tried out the Haunted Tavern and really enjoyed our evening! Being scary movie/story/ghostly stuff buffs we had moderately high expectations! We got our money's worth! You are served 4 rounds of delightful cocktails to accommodate four stories of local gore and macabre! The host/story teller for the event did a great job! The props were cool and we all recommend the show!

This tavern is situated inside a strip mall and it has a single door entrance that you would miss if you weren't looking for it. It's a pretty dim rustic bar but they did have some live music there. The bartender was fairly friendly and got the drinks to us in a decent amount of time. The clientele there That the place seem to attract left a lot to be desired.

Las Vegas, Nevada --- Day 100 "DUSA Tour 2016" Bar 2 of the day ... "Huntridge Tavern" (since 1955) may be the oldest continuous bar in Las Vegas bartender today is young and not a good reason to return reputation of "Huntridge Tavern" is the neighborhood is a bit tough they do sell "Hamm's" beer in can for $1.50 after this visit, I would mot be a fan of the place, the bartender, or the customers #RunAwayBill #DUSATour2016 #LivingLarge "Run-A-Way Bill" was here! 07.20.16

I am a fan of this dive bar! It is what it is.... It could have the potential to be very smokey, I am a little weezy today, if it was packed with smokers I would not be able to stay, however I will return and hope for the best. The location is in a rough area, and as we stood outside there was deep contemplation, and we were both glad we returned and walked through the door! The bartender she was great and I wish we got her name. Sometimes when you enter a neighborhood bar you could be made to feel like an outsider or perhaps a conversation is carried on before you are served. Not here, she acknowledged us right away and guided us to what was offered. I loved that she included the vodka special, $2 a shot! One cannot go wrong with that! She heard us talking about how hot we were, it was 108 outside and she suggested a table near the fan! The drinks we had were mixed great and we had huge smiles.... $6 for two drinks including a tip in Vegas! There is a lot of cartoon artwork on the walls and those were fun to read. The bathroom was a walk down a hall and they were surprisingly remodeled and very clean. Yeah dive bar clean! There were collages of past events down the hall and people know how to live here! There was a mixture of old timers and two of them encouraged to enter earlier in the evening. One bought us a drink and that really made us feel welcomed! Hipsters, musicians, unemployed, you will find it all here and everyone was happy. It is an old school down to earth bar I thought that disappeared. They will be having some fundraisers for the theater and I hope to return for those. This is off the path, but I will return!

Our favorite punk band, The Mormons, happened to be playing here which is what drew us in. Loved the atmosphere with dollar bills and some R rated photo strips hanging around the bar area along with various stickers & graffiti filling the rest of the space. Truly feels like a quintessential Vegas dive bar. Bartenders weren't overly friendly, just there to do their job, but they served beers / cocktails quickly. We had a few PBR's which were $5 each. Fellow patrons were really friendly. I even made a friend during the show! For anyone with sensitive ears, the speakers are LOUD, so be sure to bring your ear protection. I loved the loud music, but my husband was suffering a bit. As per a usual dive bar, it is also smoky inside. If cigarette smoke bothers you, snag a spot near the entrance since they leave the door open for fresh air. This was everything I expected from a dive bar with a small stage for cool bands. We'll be back!

We stumbled in, from the bright afternoon sun and were immediately greeted by the bartender and other anonymous drunks already lining the bar. It reeked in true dive bar fashion as we bellied up to the bar and threw a $20 into the ancient video poker machine. The friendly bartender slapped a Bud Light bottle in front of each of us with a smile and and let us be. The beer was ice cold in direct inverse proportion to the warmth of the bartenders kind heart. The VP machines were tighter than usual, but it was probably just an off afternoon. They can't always be winners and it won't stop me from coming back! It's the world's only 24 hour Tiki Bar, opening its doors in December of 2008, nearly 18 full years ago. It has a spacious but limited parking lot, bright neon sign, cool outside entrance and even more wonder inside. True to tiki decor with island themed fixtures, tables, patterns, seating and ambiance. Hints of surfing culture, rockabilly and retro. Perfect signature original or classic tiki drinks via their menu as well as full bar, soft drinks and beer. The Makalele Knockout is probably one of my personal favs with rum(s), lime, hibiscus and a incredible blend of flavors. However the Tiki Bandit, Frankiestein, Dr No, ScruV and numerous others might speak to you. I've been to Frankie's a few times about 10 years ago, so it was nice to stop in with a group of buds and share some convo as well as meet up with my oldest best friend and her wife, who ironically is who I came to Frankie's with those first times a decade ago. All tiki drinks are currently $15 and well worth it. You're able to drink, gamble (at the bar), smoke, converse, sway (good music) but limited space and enjoy the night or day away. Seating goes quick at night, especially on weekends, but arriving earlier (before 8pm) can help. Sometimes tables, seats and areas open up faster if you're patient. All the staff, including the bartenders and door guy are thoughtful and personable.
