Great no frills local place! It felt like a big city bar with the local feel! The staff and patrons were so friendly & welcoming! Basically everyone did their thing and respected each other. The music was great and the food so good. You have to try the burgers and tots. They also have a good variety of beers on tap. I had a crisp cider-YUM!
I heard that the Hard Hat Lounge had great burgers waay after everyone else apparently! What made me rush over though, was the fact their in house restaurant (Stay Tuned Burgers) had vegan smash burgers! My spouse and I came during lunch and immediately zeroed in on the food side of the bar. I noticed the menu was very confident in it's simplicity: you could get cheeseburgers ( vegan or regular) and tatertots. We ordered two vegan singles and split tots since they were a lil pricey a $6. The burgers were amazing! I felt a strange nostalgia for when I was a kid eating McDonalds, except the burgers here were a far superior adult treat. However, the small diced onions, pickle slices and square of happy melted cheese brought me back to youth. The ambiance was very chill: nice mural, graffiti bathroom, and ol horror movies playing. The workers were all pleasantly efficient.
Looking for the perfect place, this is Vegas ! No razzle or dazzle, just a dive bar. A place for locals. This is original Vegas. Let's see, established in 1962. You can feel the age difference in this local. It's so laid back and easy. You must be 21! You definitely and definitely should bring your identification. If your 80, they will have to see it. It's Vegas bring your ID. They have a little spot inside for burgers, grilled cheese, and tots. Highly recommended. The burger spot feels the same as the bar. The adornments on the walls are hard hats. It's truly cool! Order a beer and let's cheers to a new day of life and celebration just because

I've been seeing posts about Hard Hat and glad we stopped by for drinks and a burger. We drove up and there was a lot of parking. Outdoor seating available and a few communal tables for larger groups. We sat at the bar and gambled a bit. Order at the counter on the left side of the bar. I had the single burger with no sauces and tater tots. I love smashburgers and for me, this Burger is ok. I wish the onions were grilled but the bread was very soft. The highlight was the tater tots. Crispy on the outside and the dipping sauce complimented the tots. Service was good and I washed it down with my crown on the rocks.
My husband follows a couple of Vegas accounts on Instagram. He saw this place on one of the videos posted and sent it to me. I've had it tucked away in my arsenal.... We made it there during our visit a couple weeks ago. It was 'aight. Nothing special. Your average dive bar (which I have nothing against and love me a good dive bar). We each got a burger and shared tots for lunch. The burger was also just alright. The guy in the video raved about it. It certainly wasn't anything to write home about. I'm glad we went there to check it out but I'm not sure I will go back.
This spot was so much fun! We watched football, with a bunch of fans, we got good eats, and the bartender was so friendly!!! Sports + food + drinks + excellent service = must try! We can't wait to come back to check out Monday Night Football!!!
One of my friends is a dive bar aficionado and would bring me to all the old haunts in Vegas. My first time here was not the best experience. I ordered a gin and tonic at the bar and within half an hour I was in their tiny bathroom throwing it all up. Yes, I only had one drink and no, it wasn't from lunch. I don't know what happened but I vowed to never come back. Well, there was a Yelp Elite Event at Stay Tuned burgers, which is inside Hard Hat lounge, that I attended. I wasn't expecting to sit at the bar in any way, other than to eat my burger but I got out of work much earlier than anticipated and did not want to go home and come back to this side of town. My husband was with me so we decided to have one drink before ordering food for an early dinner. The bartender was filled with attitude about my Jack and diet but I don't expect more from a dive bar. I noticed she was really rude to another set of customers a bit later when I was waiting in line to order food. However, the next set of bartenders seemed to be much nicer and friendlier. Pricing, especially during HH, are pretty good and the place does have a lot of old school dive vibes if you're into that sort of thing. Even though there was attitude, my drink was strong, which was a plus. Also, the burgers were excellent. Highly recommend.
Stopped by the Hard Hat Lounge on my quest to try a smash burger from Stay Tuned Burger which is located inside the lounge It's a dive bar with some older furniture, but that's part of the charm. It has a cool, laid-back vibe, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. My drink was amazing full bar, and most importantly, they actually had blackberry Crown Royal, which is my go-to. A lot of places don't even carry flavored Crown, so that was a big win for me. Prices were reasonable While I was there, the staff had to cut someone off and walk them out but they handled it so respectfully and discreetly that if I hadn't been sitting right next to the person, I wouldn't have even noticed. That kind of professionalism is rare and really stood out to me. If you're looking for a solid dive bar near downtown or the industrial area, with great drinks, a killer burger, and top-tier service definitely check this place out!
good ambiance in here! seating is kinda limited but there is outdoor seating available. service fast and friendly. we got the burgers too but they're on a separate page so i won't review them here. convenient free parking behind the store. double thumbs up from me
I've lived in Vegas for over 35 years. I've seen this place many times, but never went in. It's located just behind the Vegas strip, on Industrial Road. I was in the area yesterday, hungry, so I decided to stop in for lunch. I'm so happy that I did. This place is definitely a hidden treasure! The bar itself is a tiny Dive Bar Vibe. It's a half bar with probably 4 long tables, and also some tables on the patio. While nobody under 21 years old is allowed inside the bar, they are welcome on the patio. The service was top notch. The bar tender who works Day Shift on Sundays is amazing! She was very friendly, and on top of everything. You order near the TV by the kitchen. The kitchen staff were very friendly and quick to deliver my food. I ordered the Single Smash Burger and tots. With a tip it was $20.00. I will say it was one of the beast burgers I've ever eaten. I'm definitely going back!

This place was dope! Such a random location for one of the best burgers I've had. Very reasonably priced and tasted like quality ingredients. Tots were generous and the burger was tasty through and through. Service here was perfect, very friendly, not at all pushy or intimidating even though I felt the location was a bit intimidating for my taste.

I've been visiting Vegas on the regular for over 30 years and for the past couple of years monthly. More and more, I gravitate to places where locals go. This is one of those places. The menu is very simple - burgers and tots. The food is quite good. It's full bar with a good selection of beers. I washed my food down with a Trumer Pilsner as one does. Prices are very reasonable. If I recall correctly, our burgers were $10 each, for example. At night, the place definitely had a hipster vibe when we went. There was a pretty good jazz band playing, which made for a nice background. You can hear the band fine sitting outside. All of the staff we encountered were great. It's a small place with not a lot of seating inside, but it has lots of seating outside. You can't eat at the bar because each of the places at the bar has a gaming machine, and there's no room to put your food. This place is another example of my admonition that generally speaking the best of Las Vegas will not be found on the strip. Yelp, Uber, and lyft are your friends. Cheers! read more

Had a drink after an event down the street. The bartender was quick to offer.me a drink while waiting for our burger. We ordered cokes and he asked if we wanted regular the soda or a bottle of Mexican coke, we got the regular coke. Good to know they have ample options and we look forward to going back to watch a game. Its small but cozy and also have an outdoor space thay if you are under 21 you can order burgers and tots to enjoy outside. read more

Super cool dive bar with nice staff and patrons. The menu is just smash style burgers and tots. They have grilled cheese and vegan patty options for those that prefer no meat. We had a single and double and an order of tots. PBR for hubs and I had the Prairie Blueberry Boyfriend (a sour). We really enjoyed our pre-NYE dinner! We will definitely return!! read more
This great local Vegas spot claims to be just another "Shithole" bar but it's not. From the outside it looks a little rough, this was once a working grunts bar. It has gained quite the "Rep" lately and is one of the local faves in the Arts District. Well known for Stiff Pours and a no apologies atmosphere. When you walk in to this bar you know exactly what you are gonna get! Staff is great and have a blast at work! The drinks are defiantly stiff and their sound system is boss! They even push table back to make room for Karaoke! Stop in for a couple pints, leave your mark on the bathroom stall and settle in for a one of a kind good time! read more
For some great dive bar burgers, this is the place to go. The burger itself is simple which makes it great and really a delicious classic burger, a little pickle forward. I wasn't a fan of the cheesy tots though with just American cheese on top of it, so I'd skip that and go for the plain tots. The space is dark and moody and very divey with great pours and drink selection. The service was also pretty good and fast, and I like the size of it as it really fits the aesthetic of the place. Overall, classic bar burgers for the fun night out that rivals many chain burger places, especially late night. read more

I was really looking forward to checking out this venue last night, but we were turned away at the door before we even had a chance to go in. All because one of the employees kept walking and didn't stop while I was trying to park. I saw her as we were walking up and tried to apologize, but it didn't matter--the security guard immediately turned us away. He offered no explanation, just said "y'all aren't welcome here" and laughed about it. I left feeling really disappointed and unwelcome. read more

Had the best burger ever. The pickles are made in house. It was the best smash burger I've tasted. Oh, did I already say that? We heard from the locals that this place had one of the best burgers and definitely did not disappoint. I also wanted to pair the burger with a Wisconsin style old fashioned but received the most proper and delicious old fashioned. This bar looks divey, but don't let the look fool you. Some of the best cocktail and burgers are made in this place. I will bring my hard hat next time to add to their collection! read more

I end up here more than I would like to admit, but it is hands down my favorite bar in Las Vegas. Every staff member has always treated myself, my friends and anyone I have suggested to stop by like family! The food is killer as well! Stay tuned burgers makes the best smash burger and the tots are to die for! read more

Great food. Bartender was a nice lady. Cooks also very nice. Lively dive bar on a Sunday with no sports. Only complaint is the parking. Not much and kinda tight around bar, but you can use overfill lot next door. Worth a try! read more

The only unfortunate thing that happened when we went was that the kitchen closed prior to us arriving. Our friend, thank gd, was there 3 mins before the kitchen closed & took a gamble on ordering a regular smash burger & a vegan one (for me). The unfortunate part of that was we weren't able to order several of them & the tots that are also on the menu. I can assure you that I'm going to try my very best to make it over there late this evening. Thanks for the excellent service, fantastic music (live deejay playing vinyl & excellent music). It's been on my list of places to visit for some time now. I'm super happy my buddy recommended for all of us to go there. Thanks Team Hard Hat! read more

What an awesome little spot. The dive bar feel, plus a separate area where you can walk over and order one of the best smash burgers I've ever tried, if not the best. Bar tenders are awesome here as well. Just a great spot close to Arts District and worth a stop. read more

Hard Hat Lounge - A Hard Hat Required for the Vibes Alone I'd been curious about this place for a while--something about it just called to me. Maybe it was the rumor I once heard (possibly in a whiskey-fueled dream) that Slash from Guns N' Roses was part owner. I might've totally made that up, so don't go quoting me on it unless you want to get side-eyed by actual fans. Anyway, I finally stopped in for a quick drink, and let me tell you--it's a dive bar lover's dream. Or nightmare, depending on your tolerance for grit and ghosts. This place has been around since 1962, and if these walls could talk, they'd probably tell you to buy them a drink and keep your secrets to yourself. The neighborhood? Let's just say... maybe don't go sightseeing on foot after dark unless you're looking to be the next feature on Unsolved Mysteries. But inside? The vibe is cool, the drinks are cold, and the employees are friendly in that "we've-seen-some-things" kind of way. The artwork behind the bar is legit awesome--kind of like if a tattoo parlor and a haunted jukebox had a baby. The bathroom? Eh... let's say it's seen some miles. Not the cleanest, but it adds to the authenticity. (Trying to keep it classy here, folks.) It's a small place, and parking is tight, but if you can squeeze your car and your expectations into one spot, you're in for a good time. Two of the closest people in my life have told me they believe therapists only take your money and waste your time. One even said therapists only $&@# you up. The first time I heard this, I was young, and the trauma around me felt normal. "Everyone is this messed up," she'd say. I didn't listen, or I wouldn't be here. Hearing a similar sentiment this year from someone who desperately needed help was shocking. The hard lesson? We can't save anyone, they have to decide to save themselves. It's a sad reality that many people stop growing and never address their childhood traumas. Instead, they perpetuate the same toxic patterns, bleeding all over those around them. One key insight I gained this year about mental health is that if someone refuses help, their emotional maturity often remains stuck at the age when their trauma occurred. My therapist confirmed this. There's nothing wrong with therapy, and there's no shame in seeking help, even if you keep it private. Getting the support I needed transformed my life. Without it, I wouldn't be half the person I am today, nor would I understand what it means to have a conscious, healthy relationship. I will find one, I pray. If your friends are telling you to get help, if your relationships are always toxic, listen to those trying to help you. They may be your angels not your demons. They may also tell you about another amazing smash burger spot in town after you post a Ted Talk. I trusted the advice, because I believe that most of us fight to get into the light. We also love feasting. That's how I discovered the greatness that was the Hard Hat Lounge ( @hardhatloungelv ). Their smash burger loaded with sauce, and side of tater tots loaded to match was unbelievable. It was also one of the coolest bars I've been to in town. It you're visiting the punk rock museum it's super close by. I can't wait to go back, have the same feast, a Michelob Ultra and listen to live music. Yes, I author my own rants, not Ai, and I'm not paid for it. I just love to interweave snippets of my life lessons around the food we love to devour. I could easily say, it was awesome, or heck yeah bro, but I'm different and I think great chefs deserve more. read more
