Ate here twice during our stay, The waitress that we had the first time was terrible, she was so rude and acted like we were inconveniencing her by being there. Thankfully the waiter we had the second time was much nicer and attentive. I cannot recommend the Spinach and Artichoke dip enough! Hands down one of the best I have ever had! The potato soup was also super tasty and the house salad and French Dip was a solid win! We wanted to watch the Final Four semifinal games at a new place so we booked a 6:30pm reservation on Saturday night for the wife and me. The ambiance of the restaurant is very lively. This is a great place to watch a game as there are dozens of TVs that can be viewed from every seat. It's loud with folks cheering but that's exactly the atmosphere we were after. The service was pretty good - obviously I'm not expecting a Michelin-star level of attentiveness at a sports bar and overall our server Jennifer was nice and welcoming. The food was delivered timely to our table and plates were cleared promptly. We really enjoyed the food - we decided to share some appetizers so we could taste many of the dishes. We ordered the potato skins, the nachos, the cornbread bites, the brisket sliders and a side of asparagus. The skins were awesome - perfectly tender potato boats absolutely loaded with your traditional toppings. Same with the nachos - each one was dressed with multiple layers of toppings. I highly recommended both of those as well as the cornbread bites which were such a unique presentation and dripping with butter (yum!). The brisket sliders were quite yummy as well - cute little poppyseed buns paired well with the barbecue meat. We were meeting some friends for lunch really quick and found this place to grab a beer and bite to eat. After looking over the menu my eyes fell on the French dip. It was calling my name. My husband and I decided to split it with a side of fries. It came out and looked beautiful and tasted just as good. Tender meat that was seasoned well. Update to the fraudulent tip charge: my daughter reached out to the restaurant when we first noticed the charge. They told her someone would get back to her, but no one ever did. Terrible service! If they pulled the receipt, they would have clearly seen the correct amount. She did a chargeback and after 6+ weeks, the chargeback was approved. My daughter was honest and didn't even request a credit for the meal or the original tip amount. Only the incorrect tip amount. No apology and nothing to try to make the right. After a couple Fontainebleau employees recommended The Tavern as a restaurant to check out in the hotel, I decided to stop in. They knew what they were talking about too, cos my mom and I really enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service here. I'm a hockey lover, and our server was able to switch the nearby TV screens to the hockey channels right away. Unfortunately I forgot his name, but he was such a great server! We started with the cornbread bites which seemed like a popular menu item and let me just say.. so delicious!! The cornbread was moist and buttery! The shaved cheese was perfect on top too. My mom got the kale and brussel sprout salad with salmon added. The salad was so tasty and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I got the crabcakes which were a great size. The crabcakes come with fries too. If you like your fries to be shoestring-y and super crispy, you are in for a treat. If you get a chance to view the food pics I took, they all look wonky cos I was so excited to try everything.. Everything was filling and tasty at the same time. Stopped in for a lunch of starters to start the weekend, and was really glad we did. Yes, this is a restaurant overlooking a Vegas sports book, but this is also The Fontainebleau Hotel, so things are elevated a bit. Still relatively new, the restaurant is clean and well-appointed, with dark woods and soft lighting offering a calm respite in the midst of casino hubbub. Our server, Chloe, was friendly and took good care of us, with a few jokes and well-wishes for the weekend. I began with Go Time, their version of an espresso martini (which I ordered with vodka instead of tequila); it was well-balanced, with a good coffee bite and a smooth, sweet finish. A terrific midday cocktail. For food, we shared 3 starters. Guacamole was fairly standard, but had a very nice texture and a welcome lime-forward tang. Cornbread Bites were exceptional, with a good deal of jalapeño spice and decadent richness from a generous infusion of cheddar. Crispy on all edges and sides, and dusted with Parmesan, this was a really satisfying choice. Lastly, we ordered the Pigs In A Blanket. Not the typical hot dogs, instead built with much more flavorful cheddar sausages wrapped in a higher quality puff pastry than usual. Very, very tasty. The accompanying honey mustard sauce was also very good, though its sweetness atop the richness of the piggies was a tad too much. We asked for regular mustard and, although they only had traditional yellow, the kick of vinegar was a welcome and needed contrast to the richness of the dogs. It would be great if they could offer a spicy deli or stone ground mustard along with the honey; even Dijon would be a good choice. Setting aside my personal mustard proclivities, this was a terrific midday meal at a really nice spot. Burgers and fried chicken delivered to neighboring tables looked excellent. Came for the La Barbecue popup at The Tavern. I saw the vision but the execution was not there. The meats were so flavorful and tender, and the accompanying sauce was very complementary. I always appreciate BBQ where the meats do the talking and you don't need to rely on a bunch of different sauces. The pickled vegetables were great (I like spicy and the jalapenos had a legit kick to them), although I wasn't crazy about either the mac & cheese or potato salad. Unfortunately, it took over 40 minutes from when we ordered for the bulk of the trinity plate to come, and despite this most meats arrived lukewarm at best. Additionally, they told us the sausages weren't ready yet and they were brought about 10 minutes after everything else came. I can definitely see La Barbecue potentially being really good BBQ, although maybe not necessarily Michelin starred. It looked amazing, and I wanted it to be amazing, but it fell a little flat. - Temperature: The food wasn't hot. I went to the bathroom so the food sat for maybe 2 minutes before I got back, but it felt like the food was just tepid at its peak. - Flavors: The sauce tasted amazing, and the sausage had a nice kick to it, but the brisket and the pulled pork just didn't have the smokiness I was hoping for. The mac & cheese was the most lacking in flavor... to the point where my hubby requested salt and pepper to try to amp up the flavor. I personally also felt that the mac & cheese was lacking in cheese. The sauce seemed a little thin and didn't give me the ooey gooey feel I generally expect to get when I think mac & cheese. - Ambiance: The ambiance was great. There were tons of TV screens playing various different sporting events, so there is definitely something for everyone. Venue: The venue is easy to find inside the casino and decorated nicely. Plenty of TVs to watch any games you'd like. Service: We were able to grab seats at the bar and did not work with the regular serving staff. Our bartender was a bit overwhelmed and missed some things but not a make or break situation. Food: The real reason for visiting! While browsing the menu I made the only wise choice and ordered the complete tray for two. It had a little bit (and by little bit I mean a very generous serving) of all of the goods. I have zero complaints about the food. Came here on a Thursday night at 9:45pm bc apparently nothing else in the entire upscale hotel has food past 9:30... which is another problem for the hotel itself (since when did restaurants in Vegas close so early and do last seating before the restaurant even closes?) For a sports tavern, it's actually very nice and somewhat upscale which I wasn't expecting for a sports bar; but I guess it makes sense since Fontainebleau is so upscale. We ordered the cornbread and crab cakes. I was shocked by how good the cornbread was. Ya know how cornbread is usually dry and dense -- this was absolutely crumbly and somewhat crispy on the edges, perfect amount of Parmesan, and the taste was delicious. Honestly the best cornbread I've ever had. Tbh I'm only making this review for the cornbread. My only wish is that it came with some sort of sauce (I ended up dipping my cornbread in the sauce of another dish). My bf ordered the crab cakes and he loveeeddd them as well (I thought it was aight). The coleslaw was a bit too heavy for me but that might be a personal thing. The fries were not good. Too fried and crunchy. But the crab cakes itself was good Ordered a strawberry drink on the cocktail menu and a dirty martini. The strawberry drink was actually delicious! The perfect match between sports and dining, this setting is great for a casual business meeting. Uniquely, it is set within a sportsbook, but has a menu that encompasses several appetizers to sandwiches and classic entrees. There's several different areas of seating including bar seating that faces the sportsbook screens. There's also several sit down tables resembling more of your traditional seating. The chili is a good starter. It's got a nice depth of flavor and is served with little sides of cheddar cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onion. It also is accompanied with two squares of their jalapeno cheddar cornbread which is quite unique. The chili is a little thick so it is filling - a great shareable. The Adobo Chicken Nachos were pretty good - a generous portion of chicken, black beans, and chips topped with a mound of guacamole. It comes with a side of salsa, sour cream, and pickled jalapenos. While others have said the nachos can be dry, I find that pouring the side of salsa on the nachos, then chopping up the jalapenos and placing all that on top of the nachos made it taste great. There were plenty of chips and this portion is very filling. This is shareable even between three people if you intend to order other items. I especially found the black beans to be very tasty with a kick of spice. While the service can be a tad slow, I think the ambiance, environment and the food makes up for it. The Tavern in the Fontainebleau hotel is a great place to watch/bet on a game and get some food. This is one of the better Sportsbook/Restaurants in all of Las Vegas. I've been to several and this one is one of the best ones. It is really designed well and the food is above average for a Sportsbook. The service was great, our server was taking care of a lot of tables but always coming by and seeing if we needed anything. In all my years coming to Vegas, I've never seen potato Skins on any menu. Being my favorite food, I had to visit this place and as a connoisseur of potato Skins, I'm happy to report that these are delicious! 8 to an order, each one feels like a 1/2 of a 1/2 potato, doesn't matter, I could only get thru 4. Ample cheese, Bacon and green onion, crispy edges and fluffy inside. Exactly as they should be. Served with their house ranch, it was the perfect bite. I ordered a house Salad with Ranch, which was huge. Probably one of the freshest and crispest salads I've had in Vegas. This salad includes cabbage in with the greens which makes for a nice crunch. This along with an Old Fashioned with Buffalo Trace and a bottle of water made for a great lunch. Boxed up the other 4 Skins to go, will make for a great late night snack. I was looking forward to coming here since I enjoyed my food so much on my previous visit but unfortunately, this wasn't as enjoyable the second time around. First mistake was deciding to dine-in instead of getting it to go which I did last time. Service was lukewarm at best, complete opposite to what I had before from hostess, bartender, server and food runner. Initially I wanted the bar but decided to move to another area so the bartender let me know I needed to return to the host for that. No big deal since it wasn't busy at the time, so the hostess pretty much let me sit wherever. Since there wasn't any major games going on, there were only a handful of customers during this mid-afternoon. Server came over right away and the up-sell began by offering Fiji or sparkling water (no tap option) when I had to mention tap myself. I always ask for a lemon not only because I like it, but to see if they are actually listening. They weren't in this case, so I had to get up and ask the bartender for one. As for food, I didn't stray and went with their chicken platter as I did before since it was so good. Food was brought out in a timely matter, smaller portion than before (two instead of three pieces of chicken which was fine since I didn't finish this before) but it was simply...okay. Fries were fine, coleslaw was still excellent, but I was let down due to the overall experience compared to my first visit at Tavern. Service from everyone was just shades below what I had last year when things were great, and I could not wait to return. If I had to come back, I would get this again (to go), but I don't think I'd make the effort to visit again if I'm staying elsewhere. read more

We met for a late lunch at The Tavern to watch the Detroit Lions vs Washington Commanders game with some friends in town from Detroit. We sat at a booth near the entrance. The atmosphere was nice & plenty of televisions for various games. Our server was Shamara (spelling ?). She was so professional & knowledgeable. Between the four of us we had garden salad, potato skins, buffalo chicken wings, and jumbo crab cakes. All of our food & beverages were delicious. Our only issue was when the male employee cleaning off our table dropped a small container of red sauce and when it hit the floor it splattered on all four of us. He felt horrible & apologized then gave us wet cloths to wipe our clothes & sneakers but obviously everything still needed to be washed. My white sneakers were fine but this was the first time my husband had to wash his fairly new white sneakers & unfortunately they were ruined. I've been counting down the days to try the Trinity plate at the La Barbecue pop up at The Tavern at Fontainebleau. I'm a huge fan of Texas BBQ and an even bigger fan of La Barbecue, so this was something I was genuinely excited about! The drinks were spot on. As a bartender and former bar owner who truly appreciates a great pickleback, I was very impressed by the bar program. They absolutely nailed that part of the experience. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the reputation or the price point. The Trinity plate was a major letdown. The brisket, pork, jalapeño sausage, potato bread were all dry and lacked the tenderness and care La Barbecue is known for. It was very clear this was not cut to order, and it came out cold and dry. After spending close to $300 on a meal, that's extremely disappointing. We did mention this to our server and she brought out a warm jalapeño sausage that was much juicer, but the question is why are they serving dry barbecue that's been sitting out to start with? read more

We arrived @630pm during rodeo/cowboy Christmas, it was very busy. Our party of 4 waited about 20 minutes for a table without any quotation on time or preference in seating, this is our first time dining with The Tavern. The Michelin rated BBQ popup from Austin was the draw this evening and we could all make Monday work with our schedules. The service leaves a lot of room for growth, the unquoted wait coupled with being sat at a dirty table with a dried lime on it did not start our meal off well. We were sat in the sports book lounge area and I don't know what I expected but it wasn't to dine in lounge furniture in banquettes with no pillows and stools with no backs. I feel presenting options in this environment with the types of food and prices is important, $20 cocktails, $50 entrees and $30 sandwiches should be served in a space with tables and chairs in my opinion. We had deviled eggs, guacamole, and fish & chips from the normal menu, along with a few cocktails: tournament cup & delta force. All of these are from the normal menu and all tasted amazing, I would argue they serve the best fish & chips in town, even if the fries need some work. I have absolutely nothing positive to contribute to the BBQ popup, all of the items on the two Texas Trinity Plates were barely room temperature and lacked seasoning. The pulled pork was the highlight of this Texas BBQ plate, the Mac & cheese tasted like watery cheese with no salt, the pickles had a strong #2 spot on the plate for most flavor. Overall no where near the price point @$75 each in quality. Thank you for serving it with potato bread, it gave me polish childhood memory vibes. On the casino floor. The section we were seated was empty but we still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Not sure if a staffing issue or what. Food was fine. French dip and soup. Good portions. Coke was horrible, ( as was in most of the casino) someone should check the mix. Service was lackluster. Food came fast but server never checked on us then took a long time to bring the check. Expect better for the prices we paid. Edit Just heard from management. They thanked us for our feedback and offered to make it right next time we are there ( we are not local so might be a while). First time here as we came here last month at the Tavern located at the Fountainbleu. Came on a Sunday my boyfriend wanted to watch the game which is a great spot for it. Obviously, you can watch the game, drink, and they had a nice sports book lounge. Very Bougie for a sports lounge! We were hungry so we sat at a booth in which we were able to watch TV in front of the bar. We ordered jumbo lump crab cake, Fried Chicken Wings, Double Tavern Burger, Butchers Steak. Food was all delicious and did not have a bad meal. Interior was very art deco with and mix with contemporary. Definitely a good place to hang out! read more
