Stumbled into Lucky Day on Fremont Street Sunday night after someone handed us a flyer for 1/2-price drinks. The place is visually awesome - Neon lights, colorful decor, and a tequila/mezcal vibe that makes it a great spot for photos! We sat at the bar and ordered two cocktails thinking they were part of the deal. When the check came, the bartender told us the special didn't apply to those drinks. We didn't ask beforehand, but it definitely would've been nice if that had been mentioned when we ordered. That said, the drinks were still good and reasonably priced (~$14 each) for Fremont. The actual 1/2-price drinks were mostly basic wells. We also tried the Mexican candy shots for $7 each that were part of the special... honestly not worth it. Major shoutout to the bouncer who took photos for us. He didn't just press the button and hand the phone back. He actually looked at the screen, adjusted, and made sure the photos looked great. They turned out AMAZING and we really appreciated the effort! Despite the little mix-up at the bar, we still had a great time. Fun energy, cool aesthetics, and definitely a solid Fremont Street stop if you want good vibes and great photos. Would I come back? YES. read more

This place was the coolest place. I've seen on Fremont Street... The inside was amazing. It was so cool and interesting. They had drink specials all night. I didn't eat any food there, but the service was awesome. The vibe was on point. It was just a lot to look at, and I knew something to discover in every nook and cranny in room I don't know how touristy that place gets or not, but I didn't feel like touristy... I loved Lucky Day! I came here for my cousins' 21st birthdays (twins) in an attempt to turn them into tequila-lovers. While that didn't work, they tried other drinks they liked, and I loved my marg. Service was quick and kind. The place itself is so cute, decor and all, and I liked the style of booths they had. Came across this bar randomly but what a find! Entered it midday where a security guard was already posted, but the bartender was chill, friendly and made some great recommendations. Had bar stool seating, but also open flooring at the end which i assume would be where everyone would dance later that evening. I appreciated all the decor inside and there were fairy lights strewned around the ceiling which gives the place a great vibe. The music was a bit high but since it wasn't crowded, pretty easy to repeat order for drinks. I got to enjoy the spicy pepiño and a candy shot. Bartender even made a personalized drink based on how I shared my preference for mezcal. Next time I come through, I aim to try one of the flights. Finally got to experience Lucky Day! I've had this place bookmarked for a longggg time now so I'm so glad I finally got the opportunity to experience it! We came in after attending a food and wine festival downtown and just wanted to escape the heat a get a good cocktail! The ambiance of this place is incredible. There are lights all over the ceiling and the decor is fantastic. Such a cool vibe in here even on a weekend during the day, so I can't even imagine what its like on the weekend at night. I ordered one of the mezcal signature cocktails and my husband ordered an old fashioned that was smoked with tequila. We both absolutely loved our drinks and we got to sit at the bar and shoot the ya know what with the bartender, which I always love to do. Rude security. We are locals who have been here multiple times. Drinks are overpriced AF, about $50 for 2 drinks. But we are always willing to pay. We had finished Skate Night and were told by the first security guard it was okay to check our skates in at the host stand. As we were checking them in, the hostess literally waving us forward with open arms, a second security guard wordlessly started shooing us out. My group came in on Saturday for one drink. I ordered 4 Mexican candy shots. They show $11 on the menu. I gave the baldish man bartender $20 in cash and said to put the difference on the card and I will put a tip with the card. When he came back for me to sign, the bill on my card was $34.62. I questioned this as I gave him cash and he said something about a service charge and sales tax. I told him the price from the menu and this wasn't matching up. He said the menu was wrong (which I would think is illegal). Then I asked for the itemized receipt and he said he couldn't provide me with one. My guess is he pocketed my $20 cash and only charged me for 3. Not only did he steal from me but he is also stealing from the business. I will be disputing this with my credit card unless they can show me a breakdown that makes sense. Giving 2 stars because of how cute the place was. read more

What a fun bar! Came here to celebrate some 21st birthdays. in my friend group and we were not disappointed. Security was really courteous and I didn't have any issues compared to some people in previous reviews. I got the horchatalada - nice mix with tequila, rum, pineapple, juice, and coconut. Nice if you like sweeter creamy drinks. My friend got the Lucky Paloma, which was really strong - yum!! Lucky Day had the not so lucky timing of opening during the middle of a pandemic. I'm sure it's been rough since they have to limit capacity and can't currently have the bar top open, but they do allow you to make reservations and seemed pretty steady during our visit. It's also a requirement to order chips and salsa or chips and guac with your drinks. Skip the guac, it was just okay. The inside is seriously beautiful! I love all the lights and decorations. It's hard to believe this place used to be Vanguard. For drinks I tried the Dulce Mexicana first thinking the spice would really be there, but was slightly disappointed. It really wasn't too spicy at all. I asked if they could make a spicy margarita for me as my next drink since nothing else on the menu sounds too appealing to me. They made seriously the best spicy cucumber margarita I've ever had. It had a kick to it and tasted so good! I would come back here just for that drink alone, but also the vibes.
