We go there for the pinball. It's a lot of fun games are very well maintained and the people have been nice. My daughters are both suckers for superhero stuff so it's always fun to take them. Even when there's a tournament going on or a ton of people playing table games it's always a friendly environment. Pinball is not outrageously priced so it's fun. read more

I'm here for the pinball... Since the move to the current location, this is THE biggest (35+) publicly playable collection of pinball machines for maybe 150 miles around. Also the pricing is .25/.50 a game depending on the era of machine, in a world of $1+ games in so many markets this is awesome. There are occasional machines down, but you can tell by the condition of the playfields these are cared for, lovingly. I encourage folks to check pinballmap to see the current lineups. There is also a bigger, better laid out game table area for folks to do everything from card tournaments/battles to Warhammer. Wow they have a new location And it's awesome! They have everything that the modern fan needs from comics to cards to figurines etc. What I love the most are the old pinball machines. Plus I can still get comic books bags and boards there without spending an arm and a leg. The new location is bright and open so everyone has space to explore their niche. The other day when I was there the prices are pretty steep for the limited quantity available. Selection isn't good, you're better off looking for better pricing and selection elsewhere. Atmosphere isn't very welcoming, inappropriate language and conversations can be easily overheard by children during table top gaming sessions. read more

They are the best comic spot in town. Everyone there is super nice and amazing I highly recommend. Every one there is literally the greatest and I heavily recommend stopping by. They also have a great selection of comics. I got most of my reign of the supermen from them cause I love cyborg Superman. All of was super cheap and at an amazing price. read more

Love this place! Huge selection of comics, a few different paint brands for miniatures, a select amount of tcg options and a whole wall of Warhammer sets! They also have a few board game options for sale and rare comics, as well as some DnD minis. All of the guys there are more than happy to answers questions you have if they can, or point you in the right direction. I haven't participated in any tabletop nights or events, but there is usually something going on there multiple days throughout the week. Overall it's a great local comic/hobby store and definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a brick and mortar like I was. 10/10! read more

Comic Kingdom is the best comic and game store in town! While I don't visit for comics, I can always count on this place for D&D miniatures and resources. Paints and Magic the Gathering cards are common items to pick up as well. Things are priced well here too, which is really nice. A lot of local shops really jack up their prices to stay a float, but they stay very reasonable. I usually still buy D&D books on Amazon, given they have to sell it at normal MSRP because they amount they get cant compare.. but that extra $20 - $30 is just tuff to swallow. My view, take deals where you can.. but if you can get items at Comic Kingdom for the same prices online, make sure to support your local shop! They are becoming very rare and special. read more

Lots of affordable back issues as well as very inexpensive key issues. Sets put together for a deal, good supply of storage supplies and a huge space for gamers. The staff is very nice and helpful. Cody, Megan, Alex and the rest of the crew are always friendly and accommodating. Selection varies, but when you find a good book it's almost always reasonably priced! And when you find a book in the back stock it's sold as marked, not looked up on eBay and then uncharged. This is my favorite home shop. read more

I've been to Comic Kingdom twice and both times I've been very impressed. The store has a very large selection of back issues, most of them at prices less than half I've seen at other shops. I was able to fill dozens of holes in my collection at a very reasonable price. In addition, my friend, who isn't a comic collector, was nevertheless able to find some t-shirts for their kids. The employee who helped us -- whose name I regretfully didn't get -- was extremely friendly and helpful, even though we came in just after closing time. (I mistakenly thought the store's closing time was 8pm on Saturday and not 6pm). These are the kind of local comic shops we used to see a lot of in the 80's and 90's. Please visit this shop so it continues to thrive -- they deserve the support. read more

The challenge: Write a review of a comic book store without using the words "geek" "nerd" or "virgin". Pause for effect...... Anyway...I've never really felt comfortable in comic book stores. There is always feeling I just don't belong. I've never really gotten the idea of spending money on comic books. So there was no real interaction on a level of equals. The only reason I was there was for the pinball machines. They don't have them on all the time, but they will turn them on for you. They have some seriously old ones and some of the more modern style, and almost every one is strangely tilting to the right. But no matter. It's great to be able to come in and play a bunch of different pinball machines in one place and not drive all across town. On our way out we snagged 10 random comics from the bargin bin, I made a joke about finding something worth thousands. I guess lots of people make that joke because I got a dead response of "No. We check them." Ohhkay then. Oh and another little tip...come with quarters...they didn't have enough to even break a single. Just about 4 doors down there is a laundromat. $10 should keep you happy. read more

No appreciation or loyalty for long time customers whatsoever. I have been purchasing items from this store for well over a decade. I was a monthly customer for books that get pulled ever week by the store. I have always been presented a 10% discount for my monthly book pulls. They recently refused to give me the 10% because I am not pulling more than 10 books a month. Bear in mind I've never pulled more than 10 books a month. It's not a matter of money, but principle and appreciation shown toward a long term customer. Which obviously this owner cares very little about. The store must be making too much money to care about maintaining long-term customer bases. My purchases will be like everything else nowadays, online only. Can't support local businesses, that don't support the customers. read more

I love comics, and i love collectibles, so i was i was in reno and wanted to expand my multiverse palette. Yelp and Telenav took me here. Dj's Comic Kingdom and Collectibles. I was greeted by a scruffy looking guy in a black hoody, the ONLY guy in reno wearing a sweater. The store looks new, i mean new, like they just moved in. I ask about that, and he replies we've been here for 3 years. 3 Years?! are you serious? this place looks empty. the display cases do not display anything. for collectibles there are about 10 to 15 marvel diecast action figures, held on with thumb tacks to the dry wall. various prices. 10$ to 20$ the wall behind the black lone hood has a shelf with bookend statues. I enjoyed this store. Not from the area and checked the yelps which led me here. I wasn't scared of the area. It's a strip mall, well lit, and had a purpose. The Pho place looked nice next door. They had a nice collection of cheap back issues and a lot of currents. Also, a $1 and 50c bin! I was able to persuade and search at my leisure. I really like this store! They have a great selection, the vibe is pretty mellow as well. There always seems to be dudes in there playing board games, which I like. Seems like the customers feel comfortable hanging out there. I've interacted with a few employees and they all seemed pretty helpful for the most part.
